Why are these locos limited to 56mph.

Because their are early electrics used for freight trains and back then a lot of trains didn't run very fast. Most freight Steam engines back then run max 80kmh. Some a little faster. Also the line have to be capable of these speeds.

Just did another run in the E94 along the whole route (ok at least 90% and then the game crashed) and encountered a bunch of bugs which have been mentioned here in this thread already.

It's been roughly 6 months now since this pack came out, and we still haven't gotten a major update for it. Most of the issues mentioned here in this thread are still present. From what I gathered, many fixes have already been handed over from TSG to DTG, and that's where they are to this day.
At this point I would like to ask DTG: What's the progress on those updates? Is there even an update in the works? Is one even intended?
I would really, really like to get an official statement on the matter very much. This is starting to annoy me big time :(

To make myself clear: I am not blaming TSG here. On the contrary, they all have been forthcoming and upfront, seeking the dialogue, acknowledging and discussing any issues. Not just on this one, but all TSG- or TSG-related projects. They clearly care a lot for the things they're involved in.
It's DTG who have to look into things. If it really takes 6+ months to test and validate fixes submitted by a 3rd party, then the whole QA process is broken or at least heavily understaffed.

In light of a good portion of the current roadmap being filled by 3rd party projects, I hope those 3rd parties take a look into threads like this one, and see which kind of treatment their projects might get :|
And if it's just TSG who get the middle finger in terms of updates from DTG for some reason, I really hope Neckartalbahn and the BR 23 will be pretty much perfect from the start...

As an aside, I notice this is one of the items that didn’t attract any discount in the Steam sale. Issues aside I might have been tempted at 40% off but otherwise not really worth a full price purchase.

Don't get me wrong, I still think the pack itself is worth the price (especially since a percentage of it is being donated to a good cause).
The E94 timetable vastly outshines the other one, and the new rolling stock is a ton of fun, not just the E94 itself :D

But the whole QA process irks me. DLC gets released -> Community tracks down some bugs quickly -> TSG reacts and fixes them quickly -> Hands them to DTG -> Nothing happens :(

    08:30, 08:35, 08:40, 08:50 Spawns

Having issues spawning the Gbs Waggon in free roam. Any consist with them says it wont fit (I ran the unchanged consist last night) and the waggon itself just doesnt come into existence when spawning alone.

After watching a couple of YT presentations this morning, a couple of questions?

Were the broken tutorials ever fixed?

Still just the two scenarios for the Umbaugwagons?

    Nope :|

There are a bunch of timetable services, two rush hour trains in the morning and evening respectively, and a couple of shunting services with the 365 (to couple/uncouple the Umbauwagen to/from said rush hour services).
But I too think the Umbauwagen are rather underused, and hope they'll see more use in the future. They're very well made and nice to look at :)

Thanks Amity, think I might just buy it anyway despite no sale price and the flaws.

Thing is too, now we have the PC multi save mod on PC, can always break off the Railtour scenarios to do something else in between sessions with the 94/194.

However it would be nice if TSG could fix the tutorial and DTG put out a patch.

Edit: I actually got it for £17.99 as part of a bundle (I already own the other nine items!) so that sweetened the deal a bit.

The Rheinland Pfalz Runner scenario is very good, but marred by the fact that once I had run round and recouple to the stock at Ludwigshafen, it departed with zero passengers on board. There weren’t even any spawned on the platform. Situation repeated at Neustaft. Empty platform, nobody to board the train.

Yeah... chalk that one up to the broken passenger system :|
At least for scenarios it should be possible to hard-code such things per station. Like:
On arrival at Neustadt, have x amount of people waiting on the platform. Upon opening the doors, have y amount of people leaving and z amount boarding the train.

But there are so many things wrong with the passenger system overall at this point... I really consider it the next big thing to take care of, after the blurry textures issue. In my eyes it's just as immersion-breaking.

Yes, particularly for a railtour where you would expect every seat to be sold.

As you say, not really TSG's fault on this one, I had similar on West Cornwall with the dawn photographic Jubilee steam trip from Penzance to St Austell, no more than a handful of passengers on board the train.

Just to conclude, a handful of passengers did board the train at Kaiserslautern… A nice run though and the superb reverb effects in the tunnels were wonderful to hear.

Now going to take a look at the freight variant on LFR.

It really is a shame about the Tutorials though. Sorry for ping but Maik Goltz is there any chance these can be fixed, please? Otherwise we have another situation like the G6 where the Journey mode cannot be completed because of broken scenarios.

It would also be great to see the locos get some railtours on other German routes, RSN, Dresden to Chemnitz even our old friends from the early days RRO and MSB.

Absolutely. I was quite disappointed not to find any trace of it on Stuttgart-Heilbronn, since that's E94 088's home turf (stationed at Kornwestheim). If not use the loco there, then where?
Hopefully TSG can do something about that :)

I bought this thinking it would layer into all German routes as railtours. I was disappointed when it doesn't layer anything.

To be fair, the description clearly says there will be railtours services for Ludwigsbahn only at first. It's just sad this hasn't been expanded on since.

Can you expand on that? I was convinced this was a TSG project…

TSG does not not always equal Maik.

Maik and his team have worked on BR628, BR218, G6, and BR420

Will, Lukas, Eric and Co on team expert (BR101 and BR145)

Me, Lukas, Eric, Dirk, Dion, Corin and Friends on the route and stock of Mittenwald/Niddertal/Neckartal and a small subset of Me/Eric/Lukas on the 194

Fair enough. I assumed Maik was the de facto team leader. In that case, could someone please look at what is wrong with the tutorials, fix and give to DTG to patch. Alternatively, pull the broken tutorials from Journey. Thank you.

It has been stated multiple times that various issues have already been fixed and the patches have been submitted to DTG. The earliest ones in summer of 2025 iirc.
DTG said they're planning to release those once TSW6 was out. Last of what I heard is that they're looking for slots to push updates out.

We've received numerous updates since TSW6's release, proving there were plenty of slots for updates. It's been half a year since the last miniscule patch that didn't fix much yet got rolled out.

As hyped as I was when I purchased this DLC, I haven't even played it for more than 3 hours total, waiting patiently for promised updates so I could have a proper experience driving the services and rail tours.

Something smells rotten and it's not TSG....

In regards to E94 088 layering onto SHB: IT doesn't fit the timeframe. The loco was still an ÖBB 1020 at that point in time. Not sure if it even was on German soil yet in 2000. The DB had all of its 194 long withdrawn by this point.

Of course, you're right! Totally forgot about that :o
I just looked it up, E94 088 was bought by GES in 1999, transported to Stuttgart in 2001, then rebuilt and refurbished until entering railtour service in 2013. Bought by EZW (who still own her today) in 2018.

Perhaps she might show up in the upcoming BR 147 timetable. That one is said to take place in the late 2010's :)

Fair comment, though only TSG have the power to put pressure on DTG as their presence on the forums, or even reading them, now is pretty much non existent other than the CM's who appear to have about as much clout as the paying customer when it comes to this type of thing. Shame on DTG for sitting on fixes to this quite expensive DLC.

As regards railtours on other routes, well there is such a thing as artistic licence. I know users could put together a simple scenario in the basic editor and dump it on the Creation Club but it's not the same as a detailed and scripted run made in the full editor.
