Hi, I’ve been tinkering with the German trains and have run into the ICE train braking through either AZB or PZB (not sure which it is) The beep is continuous and I struggle to reset the beeping and get the train moving. Each and every time I have to end the service. I don’t suppose any of you German geniuses have any ideas that would help?
AZB isn't a thing, there's PZB and LZB. Considering your title says you were driving a class 411 (ICE T) the "meeping" narrows it down to LZB, so it can be one of very few things. My first guess would be that you left an LZB zone and you didn't use the PZB/LZB release switch? Or you did not use AFB and had oversped, which also caused a penalty brake, though with LZB (atleast in TSW) it doesn't do it until a halt, it stops when you are below the limit again. More details would definetly help resolving this, whether it's also a screenshot or a short video.
Was it by any change Frankfurt Fulda? Could be NGT as well.... Neigetechnik will tell you to reduce speed when its necessary. So if drive to fast it will causing issues.
I had all the safety systems on and the Red G on the LZB flashes out of nowhere and before I can slow down fast enough, the beeping horn starts and stops the train. I have tried to acknowledge and over ride and twiddled every switch but it doesn’t shut up and I can’t restart the train
Was the LZB ende yellow line in de DMI (driver machine interface) acknowledged? So you get shortly before you leaving the LZB a yellow bar and the train says "zugbeinflussung". You have acknowledge that before you leaving the LZB section.
The red G doesn't flash out of nowhere, it lights up steadily to order you to expect and comply with brake curve. Only after like ten seconds when you ignore it and don't start braking, you overspeed the curve and it starts flashing and penalty brakes you.
If you're under emergency braking (Zwangsbremsung), you can't reset it until the train has come to a complete stop. Then you can reset it with PZB release (END key by default). Don't remember off the top of my head if resuming driving required anything special, but you need to acknowledge the alarm, and I think you need to bring the throttle to 'OFF' position. Then wait for brakes to recharge and you should be able to continue. Just remember that you might be limited to 45 km/h at first, so check what the train's displays are telling you.
It should, when you press the PZB Release after the train has stopped. If you're driving with the GNT system switched on, you can click on the 'UD' button on the top right corner of either of the two multifunction screens (press it multiple times if necessary). It'll bring up a screen which will tell you what the next GNT speed limit is and how far it is (in meters). It'll help you to anticipate what's coming up (the screen will say 'GNT Bereit' if you're on a section of track where there are no GNT specific speed limits).
Remember, GNT requires track equipped for it, and I believe the only routes which currently have it in TSW are Tharandter Rampe and Frankfurt-Fulda. Anywhere else it’s nonfunctional
