Rule Number One of Scenarios - If you don't own a train change it to one you do have
It does not have to be 100% accurate
LocoSwap makes that very easy - https://github.com/flicard/LocoSwap/releases/tag/v1.6.1.0

Just because you don't have the AP version with all the fancy extras change it to an normal version
And you can get a lot of stock in the Sale that is now on.

Question for anyone who has purchased/installed this route - can you possibly confirm the size of the install please? My PC drive is quite full and I'm already in the position of not being able to have all my rolling stock/routes present in the Railworks folder at the same time, manually transferring them to a storage drive when not in use. (If only there was a TSC equivalent to MSTS Trainstore... sigh...)
I'm keen to get this route as its right up my alley but shelling out £30 for a route that will cause me storage problems is something I want to avoid.

Before you buy the route check the Scenario Requirements as it needs a number of AP packs which will add to the space on your drive.
Or you could get a new internal drive for your computer and buy the route at a later date.

Leeds NW Routes Folder: 223,123,399 bytes
    MaxTracks Assets Folder: 2,043,082,500 bytes

Don't know about Scenario Requirements, I usually swap them out with Locoswap or TSTools.

I believe the route is about 1.5GB including assets, then with the Class 333, ATS common library it'll add up to about 2.5GB total.

Thank you to all the route creators and testers. It is a fabulous piece of work, one of the best.

It's not going to personally stop me from buying the route, but working with ATS after the Class 755/745 enshitification and the other crazy stuff that happened is crazy work, though I don't hold anything against the devs for it.

First and foremost, there are many sensible people who refuse to have anything to do with ATS after the Class 755/745 disaster, on top of the other nonsense that was pulled behind closed doors. I feel sorry for people who like to defend bad actors and just forget the terrible things they've done, but I'm not gonna let that malarkey slide just because a potentially good route is being sold on the ATS website. If you want to believe a TSC user is foolish for not wanting anything to do with ATS, that's perfectly fine, but calling the user a "fool" over his justified disdain of ATS is foolish in and of itself. ATS is no innocent soul and you know that, so stop pretending otherwise because it only makes you look like a fool and to be honest, you really are one for trying to defend ATS of all the out of touch developers out there.

Care to show me where I called anyone a fool if you are going to throw accusations around and make things up at least have the courage to show where such words got used. Or kindly edit your comment to reflect what was actually said. Or will do you what a normal troll does and just ignore this message and not reply.

Quick drives: I am in the process of building quick drives for my own fun and enjoyment - I was brought up in Burley in Wharfedale and still travel the route a fair amount as family are still in Ilkley. They will have AI and static. They'll be timed for 2020 so as to avoid the purple swoosh Northern livery of which I am no fan. I am trying to get the passing trains at about the right places having spent a bit of time with the timetables to get a "typical" pattern for the Airedale and Ilkley lines. When I have finished I'll be in contact MaxTracks to offer them on.

Not calling anyone a fool it’s a figure of speech. Don’t like ats that’s your problem.

does the issues affect us the customers what happened behind closed doors so speak ?? No as a customer all we are interested in is the product. Whatever happened between ATS and developers is between them no me the customer. I get your points but back door issues shouldn’t affect the customer base.

Your entire reply to the user. The tone of your reply, your choice of words, your inability to understand where the user was coming from. Shall I go on? That whole reply of yours was basically you calling the user a fool. You say you get our points, but your recent reply tells me the opposite. If I was a troll, you'd know, lol. You are the type of person who would call anyone who dared to have any sort of disdain for ATS, a troll. Like the user said, the devs of the route could have chosen to publish their route somewhere that's more reputable and isn't known for being a weapons grade neanderthal allergic to criticism, however I wouldn't hold that against Maxtracks since it's their decision and they have nothing to do with what ATS did.

Your response to the user, which completely invalidated the user's concerns and disdain for ATS because a product is apparently that good, was straight up repulsive, disrespectful and completely unnecessary. The fact you tried to defend it at first is even worse. Calling someone a troll for calling out wrongful behavior, is blatantly ridiculous. You could have responded in a much better way.

Also, completely disregarding the actions of ATS over your interest in a product by another developer is just enabling ATS' wrongful actions. You can like the product and buy the product, nothing wrong with that. Being hostile to people who simply announce their disdain for ATS, is straight up wrong and disrespectful. You got really defensive when that user announced his disdain for ATS, how would you like it if he invalidated your interest in ATS? You wouldn't like it, so what makes you believe it's okay for you to do it?

While I don't agree with every decision or move by ATS, they've been nothing but good and well intentioned to me and all the developers I work alongside. I'm aware there's somewhat mixed views on them in the community and some loud voices against them, but the accounts of certain individuals with an axe to grind (or making themselves out to be victims of situations they caused) do not align with anything I experienced in many years of working with ATS.

I don't see why I should have to justify my choice of publisher when I have plenty of perfectly good reasons for my decision, but I do consider the ATS lads good friends and it saddens me that you hold such a warped and negative view, as someone who knows them to be kind, hardworking people who have always been understanding of circumstances, flexible and accommodating with deadlines, and have paid all invoices for work done promptly and fully.

Anyway, that's my bit from my firsthand experience. I'd rather this thread not become an ATS hate/argument thread so I'd appreciate if that was discussed elsewhere.

As for the route, I'm really pleased with the response on the whole and glad there still seems to be interest in TSC content. Before release I honestly wasn't sure if this would be my last major TSC route/project, but while there's nothing to announce just yet the enthusiasm has given myself and the guys on the team an appetite to create more.

There's a patch on the way in the coming days to address a few bug fixes of issues raised and suggestions by the community (including some quick drive AI as mentioned here) so I'll post the patch notes here as soon as it's out.

The route is amazing and was a great surprise when it was announced. Just goes to show there is still more in the older sim yet and the community i am sure will be glad of any content.

You are right you do not need to justify yourself to ANYONE on these forums your work your choice plain and simple. The way the other members has came into this positive thread and tried to turn it negative with a view to cause arguments it seems has been reported to the moderators and i am sure when they are on they will remove the comments and ensure the thread stays on topic and positive. Keep up the great work and i wish you well in future ventures .

Too many haters out there. A product is a product no matter who is the vendor. We each have the choice to purchase or not purchase. Respectfully
