So i got a penalty brake but a cannot recover from when I touch the screen it just keeps saying driver mode doesn't press relevant button to release penalty any would good. Thanks
Same problem here. ATB can not be released. No Button works, the display can not be used because it is not interactive. Trying to click the red "ontgrendelen" button only results in "Driver Mode" messages on the right hand screen. This sucks massively, only workaround is restart the scenario/timetable.
Same problem on Xbox Series X, TSW6. According to trainsumulatordriver video TSW SNG3 Sprinter How to setup and drive with safety systems tutorial it worked in 2025-03-24, but that was PC and TSW5 time. How is it possible to break as trivial things as simple button press between TSW versions is beyond comprehension.
(I am on PC) Is this a Dodeman (deadman) emergency brake or ATB emergency brake application? I can succesfully "ontgrendel" (release) the ATB if I set the brake lever below the ATB cirterium (30% brake). This is the white circle with two circle arcs around it on your main screen bottom left. So for ATB. - Reverser forward. - Set brake greater then the ATB criterium. - Press the "ontgrendelen" button. - Brake release, continiue journey.
Hello, In my case it was ATB brake as I was not braking fast enough. As per youtube video I had brake at maximum. The problem I had only on the first scenario "Groningen Hero". In the second scenario "Maintenance Madness" I also had automatic brake applied by ATB, but there I was able to release it with "Ontgrendel" button as intended. So it does not work only in certain conditions... Following your advise tried intentionally to get AFB braking. Seems that problem was in fact that brake was in "Emergency braking" position, not the "Max Brake" = 100%. When in Emergency brake then white circle with two circle arcs does not show up and "Ontgrendelen" button does nothing. But when press right trigger on controller (throttle) to move from emergency to 100% then that white icon appears and brakes can be released. So probably not a bug after all. Just need to know train behaviour and be careful when playing with game controller where going into emergency brake is easier than playing on PC with mouse and virtual controls on screen. Great! Gald everything worked out! Could have made that mistake myself as well ! Just in case, the same applies to the Koploper (ICMm) as well. Brakes in position 3 before you can release the ATB. Happy driving and best whishes!
It is absolutely broken. I've checked all the videos and manuals available on the internet, and truly the process isn't hard: Step 1: Master Throttle on 100% break Step 2: Push "release" You won't understand it means "release" unless you know Dutch like me, so tap the button saying "ontgrendelen". This should release the ATB lock immediately, even according to the videos I watched and the information I found, to check, what I did was correct. And it was... but it simply did not respond to the steps, almost as if a player would miss a step. This is the part where everyone panics. Because the solution is easy, but the action is broken and won't trigger, thus you remain locked. This is an unfortunate result and with it, you cannot drive the train, even though you did all of it as intended. It isn't your fault! It is the fault of Dovetail. And with TSW 6 and 7 out, so fast on top of the short existence of 4 and 5, you bet your ass that if this isn't done on purpose, to disable the release to none working order, it is a bug, caused by the newer games on the market, which probably are even more broken than TWS 4 and 5. So no bro, you don't do anything wrong and you did exactly everything as intended, but it's simply out of order. Absolutely "brilliant"! Moreover, what you can find on the internet is only useful, when it works. If it is broken there is not much you can do, and you can do it right until you weight an ounce!! There is not much about this whole problem and none talks about the ATB being broken in nature now, out of order. But now you know it is, and any failure to succeed in releasing the ATB out of that lock, isn't because you were incapable of doing it. It's actually broken. Now if anyone tells you that it works for him on the SNG3 then I am not sure why it would work for him, but not for us. Truly and tamely and even mildly inconvenient, I must say, especially if you want to reach the quota of finishing all these driver task for the SNG3. It is now up to Dovetail to fix this minor but very important part of the game!!
