After seeing how big the reduction in price is, I wanted to know from people who already had them, which of these UK routes (that I don't already have) aren't too large or frame rate heavy, and for the ones which are, how far can you drive without risking an Out of Memory Crash to desktop?

    ECML: Peterborough to York

WCML South: London Euston to Birmingham

    MML: Nottingham to Lincoln

    MML: Sheffield to Derby

    North London Line

    North London & Goblin Lines

    Welsh Marches: Newport to Shrewsbury

Wherry Lines: Norwich to Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft

I would recommend getting the MML direct from just trains when it’s on sale and get Nottingham Lincoln as an extension so the dlc are joined…MML is great but always better to get from JT

for the rest WCML and ECML are good for high volume runs but with them in my opinion you are better off to grab these as a base and get the ATS enhancements for each line… and can run basically all 3rd party scenarios without oom (many scenario builders do their best to avoid oom scenarios)

haven’t played much on the other lines but have them as with tsc you need a lot of investment on dlc for other things to work!

goblin doesn’t have barking riverside or the aventra and prefer using the tsw version when wanting to run this line (but have it as it’s needed for others)

Wherry is best to get direct from Armstrong Powerhouse. They have an updated version and it’s currently 40% off in their sale.

Yes, but it has route and stock dependencies which don't exist in the Steam version.

The choice depends on how much convenience, cost and accuracy matter to the user. I'm always wary of saying buy off JT or buy off AP, because for a more occasional player, or one who is cash constrained that may not be the best choice.

I've never had an out of memory crash with any of them.

All are good in my view, though I like the MML and Wherry the most. You'll need to decide whether to buy direct from Steam or from the developers' website. There are pros and cons with doing both.

I don't like the ATS Northampton Loop enhancement for the WCML South. It has no Quick Drives, so you'll need lots of expensive third party DLC to run the included scenarios.

The price is reduced by 60% in the steam sale, and I'm not sure the AP version is compatible with Steam Workshop, so you couldn't upload scenarios there.

Is the Just Trains MML compatible with Steam Workshop? I bought the Leicester to Derby/Nottingham route from Steam but it did say it was made by Just Trains.

I think buy from Steam in most cases due to the huge discounts. What spec is your PC? The first one I played TS on would crash on most routes, but my current one only crashes to desktop regularly on Southbound scenarios from Ipswich/Colchester on the GEML.

The Northampton Loop may not be a problem for me as I make scenarios, and I have a small number of AP products of which 2 are for the WCML.

It's really easy to set some QuickDrive paths, you should give a try. ;)
What's much more tedious is everything concerning AI traffic (at least if you want it to be interesting).

Exactly, I already have 2 of the 3 route requirements for the version on the AP website but I am not planning on getting the Isle of Wight route, so I will get the version from Steam Store as that doesn't require it.

AFAIK the ones on the JT Website are identical to those on Steam apart from some scenarios use DTG Stock.
I have seen at least one scenario on the Workshop for the Lincoln line

You could ask Just Trains about compatibility

    16 Gb RAM
    NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti

I only play in 64bit mode. I've not had a crash on the GEML line that I can remember. I never use workshop scenarios.

It isn't in all places on the GEML, northbound out of Liverpool St is fine and southbound it's fine from Braintree, Shenfield and I think Colchester as well, it's just anywhere north of Colchester heading towards London I get a crash to desktop at some point along the way.

What two routes are merged specifically from JT? I was looking to pick up the MML in TSC.

If you get the MML routes,
    Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby
    Buxton and Peak Forest Extension
    Hope Valley Extension
    Nottingham-Lincoln Extension
    Erewash Valley
    Derby-Nottingham-Leicester Extension
    Derwent Valley Line
    Barrow Hill Roundhouse Extension

Direct from JT they combine in to one continuous route that's over 215 authentically detailed miles of English railways to drive!

If you buy them off Steam each section is a standalone route

This is great I’m going to pick that up soon.
I have one more question in regards to only steam versions of routes, so there’s the western mainline bundle that has also taken my interest. I already own the Paddington to Reading route which I purchased on steam, will they conflict with one another if I buy the western mainline bundle on JT website?

No there won't be any conflict, I suppose they have different folder name in Content\Routes.
The two will appear as two different routes in the menu I guess.

Thanks for your suggestions, I went with the Wherry Lines and the MML Nottingham to Lincoln, both from Steam as that's where the biggest discounts were.

By doing so you won't be able to connect that to the Leicester - Nottingham to Derby Route
