What’s it going to be? When is it going to be?
For me Route JTs Preston to Crewe and
Advante Class 805 for the Locomotive.

I'l exceptionally agree with Felix, I can see the 420 not being far away anymore.

If the GWE remaster releases soon, the first DLC might be the GWR HST Farewell Pack

We know both the 420 and 145 are already in QA since at least early december. To release the long long awaited 420 as the first 2026 dlc to boost marketing for it sounds like a DTG move. Not that i would complain. Not at all.

My crystal ball is currently offline, but I would say that whatever comes first will come first. :D
Meine Glaskugel ist zurzeit Offline, aber ich würde sagen, es kommt das zu erstes, was als erstes kommt. :D

Would hands down take that, like having a proper model train route would be great

Possibly a close call between Medway Valley and Preston to Crewe.

After those think we are likely to see a gap in terms of route release - can't see the JT Cumbrian Coast releasing until the late summer or early autumn, probably after TSW7 or whatever we get. Same with MKC to Crewe and the German route with steam.

Train wise, well it would be great to get the 420 while the iron is still hot with Stuttgart etc. but it is proving a rather illusive creature.

I think the first release will be by JT and it will fix the naming errors on the coaches that came with the Class 86 pack.
What other explanation could there be for them completely ignoring any questions on this subject and, thus, preventing us from adding Creative Centre liveries to said carriages in game. ;)

I’ve always thought a train model set in a massive garden would be fun. Seen plenty of them on YouTube. I’ve seen a couple of model railways in some sort of cafe ? With cats causing obstructions and derailments. Funny and cute lol.

On the topic of Cafe railways, I vaguely remember when I was a child some restaurant we often went to had a model train running round suspended from the ceiling, until at some point they stopped using it. Can't for the life of me remember where it was though...

Personally, I think GWE Remaster will be first although technically it's a HUGE update rather than a release. If the HST Farewell pack comes at the same time then that will be the first new DLC.

Hoping that Preston - Crewe is the first new route of 2026, it's the most exciting one! :D

As Sebastian Vettel once said „I have two balls but neither of them are crystal“ :D, but I am hoping for Preston-Crewe to be the next new DLC then fingers crossed for the 420!

I am quite surprised DTG haven't done a spin off from TSW featuring model or miniature railways. More so than Metro Rivals. Loads of potential candidates.

Oh oh Hornby had two games for miniature railways in the early 2000s so having a new would be amazing

Hornby Virtual railway 1 was just the best, used to love that! The introduction cinematic was beautiful and the soundtrack! I could never make anything great on it though :D

I never played it myself but heard was amazing for the time,

I also play the less realistic Tracks the train set game which is just a video game version of the classic wood trains

    IIRC they weren't very good.

Any attempt at a model railway style game would have to include some of the more complex designs, plenty of tunnels to create that where does the train pop out next anticipation. And the absolutely able to miniaturise the player to ride around the layout. As regards miniature railways, I think Train Mountain in the US is one of the largest though the appeal there would be to recreate the real thing rather than scale it up.

Good enough for my Nostalgia! Although I was about 6 so you're probably right :D I just remember being enthralled by attaching the camera to the model. But then the mouse operated controllers on the screen had a habit of glitching and then you'd get a virtual pocket rocket!

Would love it to be Medway valley line but I am pretty sure it won’t be! Does anyone have any guesses when it’ll likely come out

I really want the GWR Remaster in our hands already, we’ve all waited far too long for this now.

January is a long skint month for many (atleast here in the UK) so I can’t see anything releasing until the end of the month when most people are paid.

what will it? Hopefully it will be just trains Crewe Preston, and if not the first I suspect it will be closely follow what ever is first.
