There Was A Mbta Gp40mc Planned For Tsw5?

    So, after seeing a photo posted in the TSC discord, followed up by some quick Google research. It seems like Room8, someone who does 3d modeling work for DTG, had a MBTA GP40MC done up for TSW5. Now we dont know if this got canceled or is slated for a later day. But its interesting these photos popped up just recently.

    Could be some cases like...
    -Sounds/physics arnt ready yet.
    -DTG is saving it for a new MBTA route.
    -Some underlying problem we dont know about.

    As a Massachusetts Resident I need more MBTA content. GIVE IT TO ME DOVETAIL! I would also like to see the original Bombardier coaches and the CTC-1 Cab Car as an added touch if at all possible.

    wow, for me it would be equivalent to the F59PHR (which is my favorite loco in TSW)

    I think maybe there will be another MBTA route which will include it

    It looks like the existing F40, which makes sense because they're so similar anyway.

    while searching on the room8 website, I noticed that the images of the GP40MC have been deleted

    only images of their other projects remain (BR111, BR411, BR642, CLASS380, HSP46, METROLINK F59PH, NS ICM3)

    While I appreciate the curiosity, I have answered this question on almost all the social media already, including the TSC Discord. So, this was a mockup made for TSW5, but there are no plans to release it as its not on the roadmap and won’t be released. As for the why, it just didn’t work out.

    I’m just closing this thread because I know folks want it, and I have already submitted the suggestion up for them to review as maybe an add-on or special surprise we might can release later. Again, I appreciate the enthusiasm, I just have answered this question about 20 times now.

    Alright, final update, I also updated on another thread: I did ask if this was something we might be able to release in the future, but the teams let me know it is something that can't be, and they won't be able to add it to another release. It was still in the prototype stage in the images that were seen.
