These screenshots really go to show how much work has been put into this, and I’m absolutely amazed bu them, unlike the IET’s from DTG. I’m a little concerned with this screenshot though, and it’s the same problem encountered on the other two: The VCB light is meant to go out when the pantograph is raised (which is evident given the line indicator is lit). I really don’t wanna have to point out the same pesky errors this train has incorporated from the other two.
Looks extremely well modelled, as you would expect from these guys. Want it for WCML, but there is no way the console version can take another layer, as it is already afflicted by blurriness and stuttering more than any other route I own.
Do you think we will get the additional 350 variants for wcmls in the 2025 Timetable? I really hope so we can't have /1s doing every single service. Would be nice to have things like 350104 in euro vision livery and 350108 in 'youvstrain' livery? May be possible as aabs did do the btp livery for 350235 on Birmingham Crewe.
I think the Eurovision livery is no more so I don't think it'll appear, but you never know! There's something in me saying there is a small chance the /4 will also appear in game.
AAS seem to have their head screwed on when it comes to detail... I sincerely hope that owners of Crewe to Birmingham will see the new 350 variants layer onto WCMLS. It would go such a long way to compliment the new 805 too. Also it seems they can't win if they do, or if they don't. I was pleasantly surprised that the 805 will also introduce a new timetable for the Crewe to Birmingham route, as they really didn't have to do that. So hats off to them for going that extra mile. In time we may see a 730, although I'm not particularly fussed about that at the moment. Most developers wouldn't even build a completely new timetable this quickly to allow for their rolling stock DLC to layer on to a previous route. Credit where credit is due to AAS, we will have a pre Covid 2019 time table and a post Covid 2025 timetable with the 805 layered on.
I like the kitchen and the fact that the coffee pots are there, always bugged me that they were empty in other trains haha.
After all the question marks that were left after the Bham-Crewe stream (foggy weather anyone?), I'm guessing there was compelling reason not to repeat that if it's not ready. It'll at least give All Ablur Studios chance to hopefully get everything in better shape for release.
DTG would need to give permission. They have done previously for Skyhook, Just Trains and ATS but that's not to say they would automatically say yes for future requests.
I remember in the past Matt said something about not being able to beta test on Xbox until about 2 weeks prior to a release. So I'm betting the Xbox people got to start testing over the weekend and the timetable is making it an absolute blurry texture mess.

I don’t think anyone should be surprised by this delay. Whilst frustrating, let’s give the developer the benefit of the doubt -we’d all rather have this product when it is finished and issues have been ironed out.

Perhaps all new TSW DLC should be initially classed at "Early Access" given it's never finished when released!
so it wont be coughing up blood up steep inclines like 802 on diesel (also not that awesome on electric power as far as I checked a bit)?
IRL I know GWR are having major issues with fuel pumps on their 800’s and 802’s, aggravated by the wonderful design which means you have to drop the diesel power generators out completely to get to the pump,
People moan when something is streamed when clearly not ready, people moan when a steam is cancelled..... Surely if there is an issue it's best to sort it out beforehand?
It might not be an issue with the product, it may well be DTG not having people available to do the stream?
Could also be a delay getting certification from Playstation and Xbox for the DLC and DTG decided to hold back.
Storm in a tea cup... Delays happen sometimes. It won't affect the DLC for the most part. I'd rather it be polished and presented well then thrown together and released prematurely. Although I'd imagine the reasoning for the delay is most likely personal availability more then anything else. Nothing to get worked up about. Listen, I've waited ever since WCMLS original shambolic timetable for a proper 1:1 timetable to come along, that's nearly a year and a half of waiting. Waiting another week isn't going to hurt me, or anyone else for that matter. It's within reaching distance now which is all that should matter to most people.
Since there are so few of these trainsets, how many are assigned to WCMLS and elsewhere? And how does a manufacturer make money from such a short production run?
They're variants of the highly successful AT300. The 805 is just an 800/802 but to Avanti's specification.
If you have to reschedule once in a while it is normal. If you reschedule one of every 3 or 4 streams you are doing something wrong.
Could someone tell me what services for missing from the WCMLS timetable. All I can imagine is the 805 (of which there are only 27) I see a lot of people incredibly excited over the new TT. What exactly was missing from the original. I also wonder if gaps will be kept for the upcoming class 807.
Avanti have 13 805s they do London Euston – Birmingham New Street London Euston – Chester / Holyhead / Wrexham General via Trent Valley London Euston – Blackpool North via Trent Valley and they have 10 807s that do London Euston – Birmingham New Street London Euston – Liverpool Lime Street via Trent Valley London Euston – Glasgow Central via Trent Valley
It’s an absolute pathetic amount missing. Really is. I found we were missing 8 XX:30 Euston to Glasgow services which run fast to Warrington Bank Quay. Thats 8 missing but technically 16 as need the services to come in to make that service. tones of Birmingham services missing absolute stupid amount. Same for Liverpool Services. They were missing some slow Glasgow services as well the ones that run via Birmingham New Street. Thank goodness we are getting a brand new timetable. Whenever someone mentions timetable with WCML I go on a rant because of the awful mess it was released in.
