    Ooh, sounds very cloak and dagger, stujoy. Sure you don't want to share? With a foot of snow, I'm stuck in the house today, need some excitement.

    Anyway, even if it were coming, that particular loco would require modeling North Station and a new route to make it a definite buy. We have enough rolling stock on the current MBTA lines.

    Right, that's why I said it was a mockup. It's a 3D model, but it didn't have anything else. It also didn't have all the 3D details fully completed. It was at the "Submit for review" stage for the 3D team, if that helps?

    Ah, yeah, there was something else going on behind the scenes then. I bet folks were reporting the post to be jerks, or something, that happens.

    I know the GP40MC is definitely cancelled but you're saying that the Downeaster route is also canceled?

    I assume this is a case of crossed purposes and she meant the GP40 is on the cancelled list rather than a DTG announcing a downeaster route and cancelling it in the same sentence tbh.

    Of interest if DTG have axed the GP40 would they be open to selling what exists of the model so far to a third party if one wanted to take the project forward?

    Yeah, that's what I meant, sorry if that was confusing. I've got the Downeaster Route in my list of suggestions, and will check if anyone else has mentioned it.

    Edit: Saved too soon
    For the second question: As far as I know and was told, it sits on the "ain't happening" pile. It probably won't be put out there for a 3rd party, but if that changes, I'll update you.

    If it does get confirmed that the Downeaster will be added PLEASE tell because I love that route so much and would die to see it in the game!

    Yes, me too. I used to live in Brunswick, Me. before the Downeaster was inaugurated and getting to Boston was a real crawl. Never got to ride it, would love to drive it.
