It seems every couple of months or so, some of my packs that I got by Rail Subscription vanish from the game. The route's icon and locations are on the Quick Drive and Career menus, and the manuals are within the files of the computer I use, but when I go to check DLC in the Properties tab, they're nowhere to be seen. Any idea as to what is causing this? It is really frustrating and may be the cause of some of my WIP original route's tracks and scenery being invisible. I don't have a deadline to complete the route, but the sooner the better, and that includes help, so please reply as soon as you have information or any guesses. Thank you.
How do you mean "my packs that I got by Rail Subscription"? If you purchased them from third party like ATS or AP then you will be able to download them again.
I did not purchase them from third parties. They were given as part of the Rail Subscription, I believe. Again, the files are still there, and the icons are in the driving menus, but they are not listed in the DLCs I have. So far, the only solution was to purchase them again, which feels like a waste of money.
Isn't the DLC that are included in the subscription changed from time to time? If a DLC are removed from subscription you can't play the DLC but the files will actually not be deleted from your computer (you have to do that yourself). Same thing happens if you unmark a DLC in the list or if you get a refund from steam.
And some people are still confused every time there's such a viscerally hostile reaction from most of us to suggestions about a TSW subscription.
Don't use the Subscription method. Get the game properly in the next Sale - all your DLC remain in your collection
