We've gotten some updates for older routes in TSW. The UP Sherman Hill Route is in need of some updates. The major update is adding the third track over the hill (it's called the Harriman Line). The line was added by Harriman as part of his plans to improve track curvature and grades on the UP Overland Route. With the Harriman Line expansion, we also need a few new locomotives. Here are my suggestions: 1.) UP SD70M: UP rosters over 1000 of these big 1990s-era EMD 4000HP diesels. Some are ex-SP units. If we get the SD70M, we need multiple versions, including different cabs and either flat or flared radiators. We also need the UP #1616 Abraham Lincoln SD70M too. I'm amazed that we still don't have the EMD SD70M in game. 2.) UP GP60: UP's large GP60 roster came from the SP/SSW, along with a trio from D&RGW. These 3800HP locomotives would be perfect for yard and local duties on Sherman Hill. Many of UP's GP60s have been rebuilt as GP62s or GP60Es with electrical and other upgrades. 3.) UP ES44AC: The GE ES44AC has proven popular with all the modern Class 1 RRs in the US. UP calls their units C45ACCTEs, and they are equipped with remote helper software, similar to the C44ACCTEs/C44ACMs already in game. We should get some of UP's special C45ACCTEs too, including the Boy Scouts, Breast Cancer, 1000th GEVO, etc. 4.) UP ET44AC: Called C45AHs on UP, these are the newer GEVOs on UP's roster. 5.) UP AC6000CW/C4460AC/C44ACM: The GE 6000HP C60ACs were only ordered by UP and CSX. While CSX has since sold theirs, UP still rosters their C60ACs. All have been rebuilt with upgraded 4400HP GE 7FDL-16 Prime Movers and are now designated C44ACMs (similar to UP's AC4400CWs). 6.) UP SD70ACe-T4: UP is currently the only Class 1 railroad to roster these newer EMD diesels. They are designated SD70AHs on UP. UP rosters an even 100 of these big locos. While they aren't as reliable as older power from EMD, they are still eco-friendly and very cool locomotives. 7.) UP Steam Program and Heritage Fleet Part 2: We need UP Big Boy #4014, UP FEF-3 #844, UP Challenger #3985, UP DDA40X #6936, and their rebuilt E9 A-B-A Set with matching Heritage Fleet passenger cars. 8.) GE C40-8, C40-8W, and C41-8W 9.) GE C44-9W/rebuilt C44ACM 10.) Other UP Power: Gas Turbines (all versions), Alco C855 A-B-A Set, GE U50s/U50Cs, GP30s/GP30Bs, GP35s, DD35s/DD35As, DDA40Xs, SD45s, F3As/Bs, FM Erie-Built A/B Units, SD24s/SD24Bs, SD60s, SD60Ms/Rebuilt SD59MXs, SD50s, GP50s, GP40-2s/Ns, GP15-1s/Ts/ACs/Ns, GP39-2s/Ns, MP15DCs/ACs, SW10 "Hammerhead" rebuilt switchers, NW2s
It all Sounds Fantastic, but you should add images to inspire people and get them wanting to bring it to life. What I'd really like to see is the SD70M and the ET44AC, which aren't on any known US Routes, as well as an update on the Sherman Hill Route.
