Loco Avanti West Coast Class 805 Add-on Feedback Thread

Xbox seems to be always drawing the short straw on releases these days. From wrong release builds, to "correct" builds now being faulty.

I think I need to go to PC now.

My case rests. Xbox/DTG core issues are awful. Playstation I can't speak for, but for the price I paid for my Xbox and the insane amount of money I've spent over the years on this game, it's shambolic.

 

Is it bad over there? I haven't ever played TSW on PS.

 

Playstation doesn't have half as many issues as xbox. It definitely doesn't have the "memory issue" either

 

Consider yourself lucky that you've managed to evade that, because it's honestly soul destroying.

Yes it does. And it happened to me when I loaded the first Northbound service out of Euston in the 805 (headcode I can't remember) but it was the very first Northbound service.

 

1R14 Blackpool North to Euston

3 miles outside of Euston, game completely shuts down to dashboard. No warnings, just.... Ended.

These rock from side to side like crazy on xbox.

 

For myself, Xbox Series X, it's happened once on route selection and twice on the trains. Once on the first Northbound service, and then on 1R14.

 

I've just received a tiny update for the Evero on Xbox. What did this fix/include? DTG Harry DTG Alex

 

1A14 Holyhead to Euston doesn't work on electric, only Diesel.

I've noticed all the services spawn in with the pantograph down. Did you try lifting the panto?

 

Just finished my first service (on Birmingham - Crewe) and I'm liking it so far, the train sounds really good and feels nice to drive; I've only found a couple bugs so far

-On load transformer cuts out when going over junctions
-TPWS set test announcer incorrectly says ‘AWS operational’ instead of TPWS & AWS operational’
- Cab Hvac sound cuts out at highspeed
- Safety system light is bugged
-Announcements seem to ignore the volume you set it to

 

Yeah I did, it works on other services, but so far only this one seems to have an issue.

 

You need to switch manually, I'm doing that service now

 

Is that 7gb route update for crewe or 87mb for the 805 loco.

 

805 update has seemed to fix the crashes for me.
Ran from MK to Euston, no issues.

XBox Series X

 

I did, Pantographs were up on both sets, everything set correctly. Just not taking any power.

All other 805 services I've tried work as expected on electric after being set up.

 

Are looking at adding the full freight services cause I only have 8 and on the original timetable there was 36.

 

I thought there be more full length runs with this train on Birmingham to Crewe but there is only two.

In the new timetable for WCMLS multiple class 350 services to Milton Keynes and Tring are missing.

If you spawn on foot at Euston for example at 12.05 you’ll find the 12.09 service to Milton Keynes shown on platform 11 but formed of 0 coaches! Another example would be the 08.39 to Milton Keynes also shown as formed of 0 coaches, or the 16.34 to tring again advertised as formed of 0 coaches and nowhere to be seen. I think quite a few are missing.

I thought they said london euston on the side displays and just euston on front of the train.

After updating post launch, the "9S44 Bound for Edinburgh" scenario on WCMLs still causes crashes to dashboard.

 

What was the point of the 805 when the pendolino could do such a better job. What the reasoning avanti to use these 805s.

 

They took over from the Voyagers on Holyhead services, a destination that isn't electrified

 

The class 805 makes the game out of memory when loading in on foot when it starts it’s Service

Take over the Voyagers to travel on non electrified routes, such as Holyhead, Wrexham etc etc and for diversions.

 

In the 805 timetable how there is no police train.

 

Because the BTP 350 is a /2 and at the time this timetable is set (Summer 25), the /2's were being withdrawn.

How does texture blurring look on PS5 and how much is the timetable cut compared to PC? Thank you

 

I only get blurring approaching London around Queens Park. And so far, I've found the timetable pretty busy (much busier than the default) and according to someone else nothing was cut on PS

 

Blurring for me (Xbox) begins after the Watford Tunnel heading into London. And persists until Camden Sidings where it smooths out.

 

It really depends on the amount of traffic and where you are on the route tbh, my original comment was from doing a morning service to London, right now I'm in rush hour away from London and have had on and off blurring (I'm at Berkhamsted now)

 

-Birmingham - Crewe timetable: it looks like a lot of 390s are facing the wrong direction again, 1st class should be facing London

 

Question why show us how to change from electric mode to diesel mode. When the routes it layers onto we would never use diesel mode would we.
