Found it eventually after some more digging… and decided to buy it ..I’ve got Euston- MK. Don’t know why it wasn’t listed in the game itself in either the locos or routes area.

Some of the addons don't appear on the PS website, only the app for me.

Anyway, for better or worse I've paid up. I'm happy enough with the new timetables and the loco. It's £15, it'll be £7.50 at some point if not less, but I'll pay the premium to play today. Don't hate me.

20 ish for me. I start with step 1 at my brake zone, once the train settles I'll give it step 2, I always try to make sure that step 2 application gets me at the platform ~20. Then it becomes a matter of knowing when to knock it back into 1 for the stop board. I don't fan the brakes to get it exact I let it go and I always end up sub 5 yd with that method.

Buddy, I’m the same. If you want something, buy it. Don’t let anybody sway you.
It comes down to how much entertainment value you would get from the content, so that should be your incentive.
For me, I play WCML and B2C routes a lot, so it’s a no brainer :)

I can chip in as a former railwayman too.

It really doesn't bother me, I've always assumed the dispatcher time shown on screen is 30 seconds prior to whatever the public or working timetable would say.

The "most unrealistic feature" for me is that the driver is involved at all when it comes to unlocking/opening/closing doors in UK locomotives hauling coaching stock and also in the slam door DMUs. In those trains the doors are always either manual or released/unlocked by the guard then manually opened by passengers.

Those who've been using TSC for a long time will remember pressing "T" on a 12 car VEP unit only for every single door on that side of the train to swing open. It just looked silly.

The whole despatch system isn't realistic and something I wish they would change, it is better in TSC if not perfect. That and having to turn safety systems on when the train is in the middle of a journey or even just in service are probably the two biggest immersion breakers for me (plus unrealistic trains on routes)

OK?. Where to start… download the 805.. it’s in the WCML… go to timetable… pick a route.. random door fault.. couldn’t work out what to do… restarted… same random fault.. went and closed the faulty door on the platform.. returned to cab… train won’t move.. lots more messing about.. train still won’t move… turned reverser on and off, removed and reinserted key… pantograph is up… still no movement.. gave up :-(

Patience wearing THIN…. WEnt to training mode… all went ok right up until I had to couple to the extra 5 car unit… followed every instruction… back to the first cab.. no movement.. none… even tried coupling using the other cab… gave up.. so far wasted almost two hours to get ****** nowhere.

I've turned faults off they are too common still. I like the concept but not the execution. I am sure there were two or three in the preview stream.

    So first thoughts...

I've done a single TT service in Class 805 from Euston to Milton Keynes. Overall a very pleasant experience. The Class 805 is visually very sharp audibly and in terms of physical detail. One thing I have noticed is AABS 805 and 350 seem to have really nicely textured cabs. The audio was very good, and the detail to the unit it spot on. There's not much more I can say in that regard, other then I can feel this is a IET but has it's own unique feel. So it really lived up to expectations.

The route certainly felt populated and alive, Euston felt populated and busy even around mid day. Also seeing the appropriate sidings full with either freight and traffic also made far more of a difference then I thought, particularly Camden Sidings (which were pretty dead and unrealistic in the original) and Willesden which utilised static freight well. When driving I got a real sense of business compared to the old timetable with constant services and the 1:1 passenger timetable is immersive and really well implemented.

Now the biggie was always going to be the blurring issue... I am on PS5 and was pleasantly surprised at how the blurring issue wasn't as significant as I anticipated. The blurring DID happen as expected (core issues not a AABS), but rather than being consistent it happened and disappeared on and off which isn't great, but it did come on and off in particular areas. Obviously this is a long term by DTG to sort out.

Now in terms of critical feedback. The obvious has been covered in terms of the door opening and departure timings, and I have to agree this is something that should be looked at. Second that an ongoing issue on the WCMLS is how when a service ends the train doesn't even allow you much time get up and get out before departing which is annoying and did happen to me on the 805 and does need sorting with this timetable (if you finish a express service at Milton Keynes it'll go to the menu and then nearly instantly depart whether you are super late or super early, and barely gives you enough time to get out of the cab). Also the faults seem far to common particularly the door stuck issue, but I don't know if this is a core issue or a 805 issue?

The Class 805 is probably the most quality IET to date, and if you enjoy modern traction and timetables this will really tick your box and is a really nice DLC. But, as we all expect, if on Gen9 do expect blurring to come and go (for now), however I personally didn't think it was as bad as I'd anticipated.

So yeah a nice DLC and a fair price for what you're getting (2x 1:1 timetables and the 805 unit).

Loads of people said the same thing after the issues with the route. And surprise surprise day a product is released they all go and buy it again people say they won’t buy but always do

Do the 805 and 802 have the functional sounding guard buzzer using the real life sound (rather than just some kind of generic beep)?

Oh one last bit of constructive feedback, is, the 350/1 from B2C doesn't appear on the timetable. I understand the need to keep the original from WCMLS for those who don't own B2C, but it would be nice for those who do own the updated and superior version to be able to use that on WCMLS.

Equally it's a very nice feature to be able to use the 350/3 and 350/2 on this route finally!

My biggest gripe is that the seating layout in 1st class is completely incorrect.

I don't have this DLC yet but is there a list of everything that layers into the new timetables for both routes?

Nice to see also an improvement to West Midlands Railway to / From Shrewsbury using the Class 170.

    Wasn't expecting that to happen.

    Not that it always works.

Many a time I've seen late boarders arriving literally seconds before the train is due to leave.

On my TOC, if the doors are shut and you're late to board? Policy states they must not be reopened and cannot enter through the local door.

I've seen the 30 second rule apply to Inter City routes.

But I've got to admit there's been more then one occasion on the South Eastern network (South East London to be precise), where the driver has reopened the doors for me or other passengers if they can manage it.

On the flip side when I commute upto Glasgow Central from London Euston, it is strictly implemented and the doors closed 30 seconds before the advertised time and the train leaves spot on time.

Bought the pack and undertaken a few runs on each timetable. Thoughts…
    • An incredibly well modelled train with great sounds. I know it’s extremely similar other trains in the game (GWR, Azuma etc) but somehow it feels different in a lot of ways.
    • I like the new take on suspension it brings.
    • The WCML(S) timetable is crazy busy and feels alive and buzzing. After over year I felt it had become a bit stale in my opinion.
    Criticisms
    • Wish there were more playable services with this train. I know it’s based on a real working timetable but I would have liked to see more.
    • The train looks absolute garbage when the core game blur issue kicks in. Good developers are really being let down by the main games lack of fixes.
    • Announcements are a bit iffy in places.
    • The “random faults” feature goes in to overdrive far too much and it actually becomes an annoyance. So much so I’ve now turned it off.

This is such a quandary for me. I am a WCML fan and really want to get this, but I am finding it so hard to justify with such mixed reviews. It seems the DLC is good, but is let down by the game's core issues. The discount makes it harder to decide too as it seems logical to get B2C and the 805 together to get the fullest timetables and 350 variants for WCMLS. I'm leaning towards getting it, but I have just under 2 weeks on the xbox sale so I might hold off just a little while longer to see what fixes are released and how they impact things. And also, there might be more news on other DLC too that may affect my decision.

The 350 variants from B2C seem to be the biggest cause of blurry textures on the WCML S route. From my testing disabling the layer helps a lot with the blurries but means that 350's barely show up. Personally, I think it was a mistake for AABS to include these variants on the Evero timetable as it makes the performance ultimately worse.

The timetable itself though is very good and Euston finally feels busy now.

I'd hate for them to be removed as they offer much needed variety and realism, and the much requested sub classes to WCMLS.

A compromise would be releasing a patch for them to stop the blurriness, rather then removing them completely. Part of the appeal to the new WCMLS is having the 350 variants. As blurring seems to happen on the 350s on B2C too, a wider specific patch to remedy to 350s that is causing blurriness would be a good compromise that benefits everyone and still allows them to be used.

I done another run from Milton Keynes to Euston in a 390 and was pleasantly surprised when I had no blurring at all!

I'm not going to disclose who I work for, but countless times I've seen the guard wait for someone and let them through the local door. Although usually it's so that the train can leave safely.

That’s just the guard doing his/her job. Seen it happen on loads of tocs where there is a guard they will whistle close the passenger doors if someone is running to catch they let them
Board the door the guard is using to do PTI duties.

Just to add, this is how I drive B2C too. With the 350s off, I get little or no blurring driving other trains. It means the section north of Wolverhampton is quiet, and I bought this to do Wolves-Bham stoppers mainly (which are restricted to a small number of 323 runs), but it is the best way to play the route for now

which shouldn't be the case giving you paid the full price for the route it should be working as advertised. Why this is stlll an issue this far after release is shocking if i am honest.

    Hey folks,
I see a few posts here and there, but I'm looking for info on the release for DTG Harry .
    • What are you seeing as current issues, and what platform are you playing on?
      • Is there a specific scenario you see it in?
      • Does adjusting layers solve the issue, or is it a current issue no matter what is done?
    • What do you like about the 805?
      • Give us some good feedback for the teams, so we know what works and what doesn't.
    • Did you think the speed of the release from announcement to release day was good?

Even more reason not to buy B2C. What a shame. Maybe after all upcoming patches have been released I’ll reconsider.

So. With Birmingham to Crewe there are 2 maybe 3 full journeys possible with the Class 805? Wow.

    Other issues:

TPWS Version 4: AWS operational audio when setting up cab. Shouldn’t this be AWS & TPWS?

The many faults with B2C that have been documented like missing AWS magnets etc. is there a reason that this wasn’t rectified in the update that was needed for the 805 to work?

The 05.30 Birmingham Holyhead run, got a door fault and had the 05.34 put in front of me. Quite impressed by that.

Less impressed by a TPWS intervention at the AWS magnet for 4271 signal outside Wolverhampton when doing 8mph. The audio TPWS said it was an over speed.

oh and of course, blurred textures straight out of the tunnel after New Street.

I walked, ok ran, up to a train the other day just as they shut the doors! I put on the biggest shoulder droop and the loudest sigh I could manage.. but to no avail. The dispatcher just looked. Queue half hour or so wait for next one.
