Anyone had issues with Steam getting its knickers in a twist with this huge patch? When I came off the PC at 7pm all the downloading had finished and it had taken around an hour to go from 63% install to 83% install. On restarting the PC and Steam just now, it has reverted to only 19Gb of the data downloaded and the updating process has started again. So doesn't look like I'll be playing TSW6 any time soon...
Yes I had to do i full file verification and a further download after my first attempt at installing the patch. Ive had issues with other games in the past doing similar - it just hurts more when its TSW due to the file size
also, I have noticed both on 442 and 146.2 (aka dostos) that if I happen to unlock both left and right doors, if I press Y or U, both sides close, for some reason? edit: also if I try to close one side via the TAB menu, both close... which is weird edit no.2: it works properly only if operated via in-cab switches... which kinda sucks, cos it isnt too convenient
I have a feeling last time this occurred I had to throw the towel in and do a complete uninstall/reinstall with a few DLC at a time downloaded. It was the only way I could avoid the loop. Well, all other considerations aside I won’t be buying the 805 until this is resolved. Thank goodness for SimRail (and ETS2) even if the thyristor buzzing on the new CD 163 is doing my head in! More intrusive than those fans on the older TSW German electrics.
Did they say in the update they had fixed the announcements? Sitting at Wolverhampton and train and platform announcements both rabbiting on and overlapping each just sounds like. Jibba jabba.
in the 442, I kinda get, cos in the cab there is only one button to close doors... but in 146.2, there is a selector of the side plus the switch to open or close... what I noticed is that when both sides are open and you press either U or Y, the selector for some reason goes into "both sides" and not the specific one, same goes for the TAB menu... if you click and operate the switches manually, works as intended
Doesn't surprise me. How many times have we seen something listed as "fixed" in a patch note release, only for it NOT to be fixed. We've also had phantom additions, like the Original Avanti 390 Announcements "coming in the next patch" only to hear "these are not being worked on and have no plans to" in a stream a couple of months later (think it was the 805 stream)
From the patch notes: Announcements no longer overlap or queue incorrectly. So this should have been fixed in the update. I'll send a ticket in.
Well good news, while having a drive with old "Buzzy" (the CD 163!) I managed to get the Steam download and install complete on this attempt so all is good. Didn't really fancy the faff of having to uninstall and reinstall everything again.
Ich bekomme auf meiner PS5 kein Update und ich kann mich auch nicht mehr bei DTG anmelden was ist da los…
It will be in "Secret Addendum No 6". This will never be published because, to do so, will result in the Don slapping a 100% tariff on imports of TSW. Apparently the only type of Mandarin he approves of is "Mandarin Orange". I think we all know why
It may have been my imagination, but productivity at Frankfurt Fulda and Frankfurt S Bahn has increased. FPS drops have decreased. This coincided with new graphics card drivers, though.
