Since part of the existing gameplay is finding collectibles on each of the routes, I think it will be really fun and cool to have the ability to call the horse and then ride on it. It can be done in a very similar way as in Witcher 3, especially since it is using the same engine. Just whenever on foot, click the button to call the horse and it will appear from somewhere. When you don't need it simply climb down and will walk somewhere and will disappear.
Also, it will be something that will make train sim world gameplay completely different from other train sims.

I would rather have the ability to teleport to a different location.

It would be a wild ride, since any of the horses I own would be extremely skiddish being that close any moving train and the ballast would play hell on their hooves.

Mostly likely to break a leg on switching stands or get caught up in the signaling wires on the ground, let alone being around a live 3rd rail, now that would be a pleasant ride.....

No, I think I will keep my horses well away from any rail line thank you very much.

    Signed

    a real horse owner.....

    :)

OK I get all the comments... A horse on TSW is probably not the best example. But have you guys thought about having a car? Many trainspotters have the advantage to travel by car to several spots near the tracks. Having a similar feature would also be nice. ... and also having the possibility to "mount" a telescopic tripod or either "mount" a ladder to have a slightly higher view comparing to just stand on your feet on photo spots. Just a thought! :D

Who needs a horse though when you have a DRAGON! Dragons-GoT-5-16-19.jpg Honestly though this thing's kinda scary.

unnamed.jpg Not so sure about horses.
But, how about a hi-railer, instead?

Exactly what I was thinking! A hi-railer would be perfect.
Either a generic white truck for each route, or a truck with the railroad company's logo on the door.
