Was hoping that we would have another update prior to Christmas! Hoping that we have this route early in the new year. What a Christmas present this would have been!!!
that’s probably not something alex can answer but based on the density of assets and traffic, i think it’ll more likely than not be gen 9 only
You can see on their website this was their most recent devlog. I imagine they’ll have something to say in the roadmap though
First Tuesday of the month Sadly I'm not expecting them to be like "and here's all the info and screenshots, it's available next week!" as there's just not been any hype
Let be honest, the wait will be worth it. JT are probably smoothing the edges of the product to make sure it arrives in ship shape! Nothing they've ever released has ever not met my personal expectations... I think one thing we all share as a community is the anticipation of a good DLC. For now, I've stopped looking at release dates as anticipation can be a killer sometimes... Sit, wait and let good things come to those who wait. It'll be worth it.
I wholeheartedly agree on both points, I know they'll be polishing it up nice and proper, just speaking personally here - aside from the Manchester - Atherton - Wigan line and the Oldham loop, this is what I've waited a very long time to see in a sim so it's really hard to stay patient for this one, especially given it's "my" era too You're painfully right regarding release dates too, I'm sure this one was in the 0-3 month window as far back as August :/
Just getting a vibe this has been pushed back, which probably means the Cumbrian Coast unlikely to surface this side of TSW7. Hopefully will get proved wrong. Maybe they are still wrestling with the Class 86 (4) wheel geometry. We know the 86/2 is still awaiting a fix to the mismatched wheels and axleboxes which may well have required almost a complete rebuild. It would be unacceptable to put the 86/4 in the new route with the same error.
You're not wrong about any of it, it's been on the 0-3 months list since the October roadmap. It didn't seem that far away in November and that was the impression anyone was given so either a) they discovered a serious problem or b) DTG wants to push their own guff ahead of the new Just Trains product. I get it that JT will have wanted to steer well clear of any other release with Crewe in the title to avoid confusion (that dropped late October 25) so I really hope we will see an update or a release date fairly soon.
There is confirmed to be an update from JT Preston-Crewe in the Feb roadmap, Alex confirmed it in my thread about WCMLOS
I agree but the lack of a fix for the 86/2 so far doesn't inspire confidence. Trouble is as long as the majority are happy to buy DLC with known errors, inaccuracies and bugs there's little incentive for the developers to spend much time and effort putting things right.
