Br Class 40

Anyone know why the front right marker light switch in No. 1 cab also turns on three engine room lights on the left hand side of the train?

No way to turn on/off independently as far as I can tell and no way to turn the other side on either (same switch from No. 2 end does not work the same, just does the marker light as labelled).

Is this a TSW thing, or a real thing?

I trawled the forums, but could not find it mentioned.

same for me, its frustrating as i utterly love the Class 40

I have asked before but i also think its not likely to be fixed as its seen as so minor.
I was hoping a modder would fix it

Instead i always use the Class 40 with the double lights on the front end.

 

Yeah, it's odd especially when watching AI controlled class 40s at night

 

It's been a bug since it was first introduced, never fixed.

 

I get the same bug, but with a twist it only happens on the 40 with the head code box, not the 1 without

 

The other item that needs fettling with the 40 is the sound. You don’t quite get that full on frenzied roar at full power. I also can’t recall ever hearing the field diverts kicking in.

 

Doubt we'll ever see this bug fixed or the loco itself ever get updated, especially if it's true that Athena were given exclusive access to it.

Hopefully JT are given rights to bug fix and improve the 40 at some point, like they did with the 47
