Loco Avanti West Coast Class 805 Add-on Feedback Thread

This 805 is causing so many crashes on xbox for even if it just drives past me it crashes.

 

It's unbelievable how poorly tested add ons are these days.

1801 Holyhead to Euston service on WCML South- apart from having to manually raise the pantograph (why do we suddenly have to do this?), the rear unit is unpowered.

I would still like to remind whoever at All Aboard is reading this at the audio, specifically the running sounds, are inferior to the GWR 802. I also noticed that the usual "TPWS and AWS operational" audio message in the cab is cut off at the beginning so it just says "AWS operational".

Are jobs missing for this loco cause it just seems like its light for jobs. Compared to the other locos.

 

Nope as Avanti only owns small amount of them irl so there drives will be light compared to the class 390

Sorry if already logged, but loading into a saved game both the central (speedo) and right hand TMS displays keep going blank. (PC/Steam).

Every time I get to the end of the route sometimes the game crashes on the Birmingham to Crewe route on class 805 I’m on PS5 has anyone else had crashes on PS5

 

There are EPS (Enhanced Permitted Speed) these are for trains that can tilt (when AWC had 221 plus the 390) 805/807 have to abide by the normal permitted speed which is 110mph

 

I still can't do any jobs from London Euston it just crashes on the load screen on xbox anyone else facing this issues.

Did they fix the remote tail light indicators to actually show the correct thing, or just copy and paste it from the 801/802?

My wild guess, is that it was a copy and paste job!!

 

Have mentioned this but nothing back from the Devs. With the New Timetable on B2C it makes me close the doors on Red now which I really do hate with it. So no signs delays on this route now on the new TT.

Also the DRA will permanently lock the brakes even after resetting it. Only fix is to use the I’m stuck option in the pause menu.

 

So they literally took the 802 and turned it into an Avanti 805. Because the 802 also has that issue with the DRA.

 

Anyone else noticed that the pantograph glows white. If so should it do that.

 

Wow. I am actually amazed they did not fix that.

I have flagged it via a bug report for the 802 so many times, plus mentioned it in the feedback, as have many others and yet nothing and then they just copy it straight over to the 805.

And yet it works ok on the 801.

 

Anyone else noticed that the AI trains have there lights switched off at night.

 

So far every 10 car service I've tried has the rear unit unpowered.

This game is a complete joke. Normally I try and defend this game but I'm just so fed up of the complete lack of quality control.

 

I understand that it is illuminated IRL, so it can be monitored on CCTV. So it's on purpose.

 

On a positive note: the tutorial for the 805 is really good. Cold start, changing ends, power changeover, coupling. All that before starting the standard training of passenger procedures. It also has good AI scenery with trains moving around you. More tutorials should be like that.

 

On the WCML South timetable the Class 710s MSO is rotated the wrong way making it have a larger than usual gap from the DMS and no gap from the PMSO, I don't think its the PMSO since that has the correct spacing from the DMS it is connected to.

It also seems that the spawning of 350s is heavily biased towards /1s in spite of the fact that more /2s and /3s exist, 30 /1s and 47 /2 and /3s respectively. This is on the WCML South timetable. Considering the /2s are now stored a Class 730 add on would be really nice since it fills that spot in LNWRs roster.

Just a question on the panto selection and may e real life too. In the 801 the rear panto raises by default while in the 805 the front panto raises by default. Real life pictures back this up. Is there a reason for the difference between 80x models?

Really enjoying this DLC. But shouldn't the livery be a bit more blue than green. The 805s appear to have a more blue tint than the 390s green in real life pictures and footage. It's like the livery shades of the 805 were matched to the 390 in game.

 

Operator preference/instruction basically.

There is a school of thought for either being preferable apparently.

 

LNER use the rear, except when running two 5 cars together the front unit uses the front panto (the rear unit rear panto)

 

Yeah, same as the 395s.I was wondering why Avanti rather using the lead panto on single sets apposed to the other TOCs.

 

The in train announcer gets confused. " Now approaching Watford Junction ", except I was coming into Harrow & Wealdstone. I was meeting a girl in Watford that night so could have caused some grief.

timetable mode on foot let al drive the 805 then game crashes

And the Milton Keynes stoppers won’t spawn in when you start at Milton Keynes on foot

 

Still not fixed on Xbox series X saying this iv restarted the game 3 time know

 

New update has taken away tfw services using the 150 and replaced the 153 white with the 153 ex ariva stock.

Is that on the loading screen before the screen when you in the cab. Is that in journey and starting from Euston.

 

That is on bound for Edinburgh

 

Unfortunately despite the update, I’m still getting crashes whilst on the loading screen

 

I read as part of the update they have removed static stock at Wembley yard and nearby sidings and I’m sure it said only on Xbox however I’m on ps5 and there’s no static stock on there either

 

On xbox is still crashing on journey when you start from euston.

 

Thank you for the update. Some things I still notice on Steam/PC:

- HVAC sound cuts out after a high speed run. Fix: turn on and off the HVAC.
- Converter sound disappears after a high speed run. When you spawn in a service, you can hear a converter or something on both ends of the train. This sound disappears. Fix: Couldn't find one.

 

Sorry if been mentioned before but just tried 5F12 Wembley Intercity Depot to London Euston in a 390 in the Evero timetable and it starts in a shed which you can’t get out off as it says the train derails

 

I think the savegame function should be removed from the game entirely. It’s a major problem and has never really worked properly. On my PC it’s completely disabled via the ini tweak, mainly because it causes an annoying loading stutter every time you stop at a station, for example. I either drive a route from start to finish or not at all. I don’t miss the savegame option whatsoever.
I can understand its frustrating so better they remove it completely.

 

Sorry but no way. Not with some runs taking nearly two hours to complete, not everyone has that long or wants to spend all that time playing the game in one session. They need to allocate some developer time to sorting out the various issues. They did try removing the save when they launched TSW4 (I think) but there was such an outcry they had to reinstate it with the caveats we have now. They must be raking in £thousands if not millions with all the content plus the take from 3P’s so time some of that was invested in QOL improvements.

 

Yeah thats a point of view and i respect that but they never get the fix for it... Maybe it is not a priority or something that can fix in general. And of course my point of view is also not the best maybe but if something still broke it will not give any advantage was my conclusion

 

It's amazing how bad the save game function is.

I hate using it, because you just never know what state your game will resume in, if it even resumes at all!!

On console, I often just leave the game paused for a couple of hours mid run if I have to go and do something else. Rather that than running the risk of using a save, which is crazy when you think about it.

 

To be fair my general experience with the save game has always been fairly solid, my main complaints are only one slot and the failure to load objective and timetable data if you save and load from a chained run.

 

In addition to this, just had a run from Milton Keynes to Watford Junction and the auxiliary sound stopped working. So both driving cabs get silent and only the running sounds kept working. Fix: Restart the auxiliary power. But the converter sound won't come back on. Again, you can hear this when starting a service, but it disappears after a high speed run and won't come back on after resetting the auxiliary power. Kind of a bummer...

 

I’m curious to know is the save feature a problem on PC only? On console I’ve never had a problem. The only thing I notice when driving in the rain is that I need to restart my wipers, as when they’re on they don’t move (when resuming a saved game).
