I was railfanning at Ealing Broadway on foot and got the following error: LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 1308] Failed to find function IsWheelSlipping in RVM_DBS_Class66_C /PaddingtonReading/Map/PaddingtonReadingMap.PaddingtonReadingMap:PersistentLevel.RVM_DBS_Class66_C_2147474261 TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld TrainSimWorld kernel32 ntdll This is on steam going to verify files now.
I have a feeling the game thinks it was electrified and you were still able to draw power. In real life it is correct, back then platforms 1 & 2 were not wired up.
I went onto a 3 car 166 in passenger mode and after I sat down it wouldn't let me get back up and the camera position froze on the aisle ( Xbox series x) Also to add the 0531 Heathrow service from Paddington seem to depart of the last part of the platform causing the signals behind it to remain on green aspect and pis to still show it hadn't departed
Nope - same error again About 8.30 am - Ealing Broadway. Todays date in 2017 - slight wet rails. I had to reinstall island line 2022, after that everything was working fine. The first restart helped for a moment to get 350, but after a second restart of the game it was gone. So I suppose there was something with the island line install.
I did that yesterday into platform 1 with the 802 lol. I power changed on the fly approaching Hayes & Harlington lol. Didnt stop till the stops at platform 1 Hentis
Click the layers again. Select "uncheck all" then select "select all" I can gurantee you you will not have all 30 layers. It should then show you what layers you have and are missing. You will not have the HST Farewell tour layer, as its not yet released. Hentis
Xbox Series x…WOW fantastic job Liam & crew, minimal shadow pop-up, great audio, no blurries (I only have TSW installed) can’t wait for the HST farewell pack, hope it sells well then we may get the other Vinyl’s…Harry Patch, 90 Glorious Years, Bristol, Plymouth etc. I know Liam mentioned about Poppy issues with ‘Harry’ but maybe donate percentage of profits to RBL ? winner winner
Platform - Xbox PC Service/Scenario - Timetable spawn on foot + Free Roam spawn Repeatability. - After you spawn 1 time. Anything beyond will be broken until a full game restart. Looked really promising, given the short route length. I did remember hearing that we were getting 387s on the Hayes shuttle? Not seen any in the layers but I may have missed them being removed from the plans. But again its just another really promising addition to TSW ruined by the poor management strategies and the same awful core feature bugs. Allow me to expand. Poor Management - look at all the bugs and issues posted, this only launched 3 hours ago. Yes 1 person made, it but there should be dozens beta testing it. Yet another "Pump out more content and fix it down the line". Core Bugs - As always the Free Roam, Route setting, Spawning menu and systems, Blurry textures, and Dispatcher system issues all rear their now very common head. Do Better DTG. Your core features are rotting away and they need fixing!
This issue comes down to the Xbox Series X’s limited shared memory, and as route complexity and layers increase, the problem only worsens. Some have suggested dropping the console’s output resolution to 1080p and disabling certain layers to free up its constrained memory. On my PC running the GWE Remaster, TSW6 alone uses 16.4GB of system RAM and 9.6GB of video RAM, with the GPU maxed at 100% and the CPU fluctuating between 60–85% utilisation. I play at 3440x1440 on the ‘Ultra’ preset with a Ryzen 7 5800X3D, 64GB of RAM, and a 9070 XT GPU - far beyond Series X performance. It’s tough to get the game running smoothly at times on PC, so given the hardware limits on Xbox it is much harder. I think some routes have simply outgrown the hardware. The Series X’s 16GB of shared memory has to handle everything, whereas my PC uses more than that just in system RAM alone to hold the route. In short, there's no quick fix for the issues on Xbox, and whatever they do to eventually fix it will result in a compromise to route complexity and/or rendering resolution.
Xbox Series S. This route performs really well on this console. Haven't experienced blurry textures and have had really good fps throughout the whole route. Well done Liam. This has become my favourite route to play whether that is heathrow connect, underground or GWR HSTs and 166s. Did runs from reading to Paddington and vice versa and it has really been enjoyable. Also been able to complete them as well with no problem DTG Liam
Yes, it runs very well on Series S. I do not have all layers, but not seen blurry textures. I only noticed the sound of the 166 is still popping and also had hick-ups in the sound. The route is looking great, with nice details and scenery and a lot of traffic. Compliments to Liam for his work!
Yes mate, I’ll just downgrade my experience that I pay money for just because they STILL can’t optimise it for Xbox
DTG Alex - Can this be looked at - I've verified files again and this is repeatable in the conditions mentioned PC Steam version - looks like something is missing from one of the class 66 vehicles.
Got out of the train 3 times now at Langley station..... all the passengers despawn, and the game immediately crashes to desktop.
I was expecting blurry textures to some degree or another. However I am pleasantly surprised to say that I experienced no blurry textures on back and forth run between Reading and London Paddington (I am on PS5). The route felt very busy and the console had no issue in two runs going to and from Reading. A nice little surprise was being stopped just outside Southall to allow a freight to weave into the sidings at Acton! This was definitely worth the wait and I'm enjoying it on so many different levels. Driving is just one of the dimensions to enjoy on this route. This is a work of art and really immersive. I think in terms of blurry textures across the board, I think we need to allow the said work on to go on behind the scenes and see what comes of it. Frustrating on some routes? Definitely yes. But do I have confidence in DTGs abilities since the last roadmap? Yes. But as I say, it's running as smooth as a knife through butter for me on PS5 at the moment. But I can't talk for everyone and haven't noticed some of the faults others have experienced just yet.
Liam has clearly done an outstanding job with this route but, as usual, the core game is letting it down massively. Was really enjoying a run in HST from Reading to Paddington then couple of miles outside things started to go very wrong with the frame rate. And in Paddington itself those bloody blurry textures appeared to be worse than ever. This is what I just drove. Already got the display set to HD rather than 4K and I don't exactly have swathes of routes so I don't believe layers are the reason either. It's beyond disgraceful that these issues have gone on for so long now and, far from feeling any closer to a fix, feel like they're actually getting worse as time goes on. On Series X.
Pretty sure it is a bug as I only have great western express trains only, not the extra trains from other add ons on ps5
The Class 66 appears to be missing many of the sounds for its internal switches and levers. It also appears that the DB 66 has mismatched unit numbers, and neither of these numbers are an accurate DB unit anyway. 566 is Freightliner and 661 doesn't exist, that is if real numbering was an intention.
This may link with the class 66 missing the ability to work out if wheels are slipping that I've reported above...
Tbh Its a good remaster I must add but, I find it abit disappointing that the class 387s weren't added, bec theres still 2 platforms at Paddington that dont even have any services at all throughout the playthrough. So I really wish it could get added cause u can spawn them in and they look complete. But u just cant spawn them in the game bec it says "doesnt fit in scenario" which is confusing.?
Known console core issue, seems to be linked to the memory issues so this is folded in with the blurry textures.
anyone else having issue's with the steam version as i have not received the remaster patch as of yet. never had this issue before and im wondering is it something wrong my end.
Hello. A few folks have experienced blurred textures while others haven't. We are still working on optimisation but it's not an easy fix. For now, some folks have found success by turning off/uninstalling 350 layers for now. This is just a quick fix, and we understand that you should not need to do this to be able to fully enjoy your experience. But turning off all compatible layers and switching them on one by one will help to figure out which specific layer might be too much for now.
Are the services in Journey mode accidently using the 2016 services? I'm not seeing any layer traffic, only the 3 included trains, HST is blue though so 100% I have the update. All the layers do correctly show up if I were to manually pick services outside of Journey too
Arrived into paddington with the 13:44 service and the station announcement was endlessly looping calling for "passengers to join the 13:44 service to paddington on platform 1 as it is ready to depart". Also normally I'm onboard with hearing the passenger announcements in the cab of a multiple unit but I think this on the hst is a step too far. Probably not specific to this route but I'm getting 10 nearly identical versions of the hst showing and 8 of the 166 etc. Overall though, great work & fantastic job. Never been my favourite route but the improvements and effort put in really shows.
Diesel Legends of the Great Western - Journey Mode: 5X03 is still jumping off the rails before you can do anything. I've had this journey mode on 47/48 for years now...!
This was already acknowledged in the preview stream there is nothing changed at this addon or timetable.
Same checked old forum posts and it’s been a known issue since 2022 and was apparently being looked into back then
For some reason on my xbox series x its removed the xc 220 from the riveria line displaying its not owned .
Anyone gets this - check your mods. I had - SpikeesCabCamFixes - this was the cause. I forgot I still had this mod installed.
While its great to have TSW6 features like passenger annoucements, it's a shame we are missing the TSW3 feature where AWS sounds are supposed to come through the DualSense speaker.
Can anyone confirm whether Journey mode is still linked to the original 2016 timetable, not the 2017 one?
I'm on PS5. I have no Tube options. I own Bakerloo and I have LU selected as a layer but the train doesn't show as an option to play it. I don't own any other LU trains. Is this right or do I need more LU dlc.
This here proves DTG don't optimise the game at all. The brute force approach doesn't work on console.
PC Steam Class 350/1 "Airport Connect" hasn't been configured for Rail Driver. Edit: Also the 802 hasn't been configured for the Rail Driver, this might be due to the 5 car 802 not being configured for Rail Driver on the Riviera line.
