What do you mean they don't run. All run fine here.... Plus you say everything else only has 2 minute runs?

 

Only problem I have now is chasing down all the old GWE mods I have installed that cause the route to crash. I forgot I had so bloody many of them!

 

And again... Remove old mods! Mods for the old route are not compatible after the remaster

 

First service tried (1P41) was an immediate signal passed at danger. My experience is already soured and I haven't seen anything of the route.

 

So sorry that the poor experience of the game for so many of us has the temerity to 'irritate' you.

Just want to apologise on behalf of all Xbox players for how our concerns and annoyances are making you feel.

 

I've just heard a passenger sneeze in the carriage behind me - not sure if that's a core feature now or if that's come with the remaster but regardless that's quite cool.

 

Is it possible to do the runs in journey mode using the 2017 timetable? I like completing all the chapters but also want to see the additional timetable layers this update brings.

I didn't used to use the old route so don't have any mods for it....... Even happens when running vanilla with no mods installed for any route full stop.

 

It is mod related! This line is not a lie. Its says there is something wrong with a RVM what implicates there is something changed.

As an XBox user who has the same questions as you regarding blurry textures, I do agree with the other poster. This thread should be specifically to GWE Remaster conversation as there is nothing Liam can do since it’s a core related issue and not about the route.

We need to use the handful of other threads about the issue that already exist to keep asking for updates so that:

1) They are clearly highlighted with a specific focus on this issue
2) Aren’t mixed in with discussion of a completely different topic
3) We can ask for and track updates around the progress made.

We aren’t going to get any answers about it in this thread no matter how many times we ask about it.

 

This happened to me too and the eyeballs moving was super weird but I decided to work with this
Bizarre occurrence and performed roles of the Driver and Guard. Sat in Guard seat and drove train from the seat having to operate the controls by clicking and dragging and then did guard duties at station stops was a lot of fun!!

 

I enjoyed a couple runs on GWE today. It is much improved as far as lighting and textures. The additional layers...meh... seem kinda gimmicky. It's also very linear. Won't be making my top 10 list, but it's improved yes.

 

Seems really buggy so far, which is a shame since they've supposedly been testing it for months.

 

Time to move away from Xbox

 

My word, it’s brilliant isn’t it. Yes some of the layers are more representative but by god the route is alive with trains. Just done a HST run from Pad to Rdg, now doing a HEC run down to Hayes.

My only (hopefully constructive) feedback at present is on arrival at Reading the station still seemed devoid of any passenger activity. Speaking from personal experience it’s normally thronging with people at that point (1500 in the afternoon).

I can also see this being a timetable that garners a few entries in the “Awesome Services” thread.

 

So, I've managed to find a way to reduce all blurring on Xbox Series X. I've disabled the Voyager, 350 and the AI overground trains from Mildmay. And it runs like an absolute dream! Seriously hoping DTG can fix this core very soon, as having to disable layers is becoming a faff. But for now? I'm very happy!

 

Wondering why there are only a few timetables for the Voyager Class 220, that are around 5 minutes long? I am new at TSW6 so maybe something I am doing wrong?

 

This is actually correct for the route, as CrossCountry reverse at Reading and run towards the north end of Reading station. They do not run towards London.

The routes that they run on in real life, we do not have that included with the GWE route.

 

I mean i play on PC, but please feel free to continue to condescend.

Also, even if i was playing on Xbox, it's ok for it to be buggy? Is there an Xbox-is full-of-bugs discount i'm not aware of?

Deleting a stuck train caused a hard-freeze on my laptop.

The remaster looks and sounds great, but the timetable has issues- i'm not the only person reporting this.

Not had much of a play (work and stuff) but what I've seen is wonderful. Just one small thing I noticed the wipers on the Blue 166 are inverted (I assume its basis is the unfinished one left in the files after the rebrand which also did this). The wiper animation is correct but the rain on the windscreen wipes opposite. I'll get video tomorrow.

And with all due respect, DTG clearly aren't avoiding this topic. Matt himself has said multiple times in the past couple of months that this is top priority to fix. And before anyone says, yes, actions speak louder than words, and I for one hope it's sorted as soon as possible (even though it doesn't affect me as I'm on PC).

I dunno if it me but I don't have them, but I got in the spawner a so called "class 387 (unbranded)" which has the GWR, Heathrow express, and C2C liveries.

 

Unlike a console, just saying "I'm on PC" isn't good enough to disprove someone's point that your PC is rubbish.
An old PC is just as rubbish as an old XBox.
Mine's from 2019 and TSW runs decently.
However if it IS going to run worse, then it's not the route side textures but the additional lawyers that make it blurry so... disabling them makes perfect sense.
It's not a backup in the GPU (graphics) but the need for a strong CPU (processor.)
The additional layers on the route overload the second because you don't SEE them in the background but they are using processing power.
At least GWE is only 36 miles so that keeps the layering down that would happen along a bigger route.

One person can keep whining, but others can keep pointing out it's pointless whining.
It's not like someone saying "blurry" gives them anything to work on.
It's not system, specs, system logs, etc.
It's rando on random system.
That gives zero useful input to a technical fix.

Imagine going into the mechanic shop and saying "There's something wrong with my vehicle."
They ask "what kind of vehicle? Can you bring it in?"
You get mad and say "NO!" and storm off.
Next day the same thing.
Next day the same thing.
Next day the same thing.
Next day the same thing.

Is your issue getting better?

I will say many of the layers like the 484 are a bit limited.
Two stops?
5 minute runs?
Is it just there to say there's another layer that crosses the mainline?
Shap and others had a lot of 5 minute runs too that make it SOUND like a lot of services but in reality 20 x 5 minute runs for a couple miles isn't a lot of content, even though "100 services" sounds like a lot.

 

I assume you don't have this problem. If you did I'm sure you'd be complaining about it royally every chance you got.

Fortunately I don't experience this issue. If I did, I doubt I'd be playing this game, it would drive me nuts. Some of the screenshots hurt my eyes.

Of course we all know Liam has no part in this. But DTG should be reminded of the problem every day, several times a day, until it's fixed. After all we only have their word for it that it's a top priority and being worked on every day by a sizable team.

Do have a heart for those players who are dealing with these texture issues. They are paying the same price for dlc as the rest of us.

I just think some people need to learn how to read the room. Considering the amount of effort, which has gone into this remaster and some of the rubbish Liam has had to put up with. I do find it disrespectful to immediately post “Still got blurry textures” or “how do I stop this update from downloading as I don’t want to waste my memory on it”. Get a grip!.

I was watching Matts stream just now, and a Chiltern livery '165' just turned up at Paddington on the Parliamentary service (aka Ghost train). That was a surprise and a half!

To be honest I agree. I don't have the blurry textures anymore but I was dealing with it over a year ago on my old pc so I do understand. However I wish people wouldn't try to overshadow the great work that has happened here with this remaster because of a core issue with the game. Surely people can give it a rest just in this thread and be thankful for the free update, its clear a lot of work went into this. The route and timetable is honestly so good now, I haven't played this much train sim of any kind in ages.

 

Now doing a stopper up from Reading to Paddington, lovely.

Am I correct in thinking the 166 got updated sounds? Certainly seems that way to my ears, better than the original.

The announcements are a nice touch too.
