Xbox Series X - So far no blurry textures (hooray). I have encountered a couple of problems on the short Underground section. Firstly, when riding as a passenger in the class 484, if you go into external view then go back, you find yourself plonked on the spare seat in the cab and can't stand up so you're stuck there until the train leaves the playable area. Secondly, you can't cross the footbridge at Westbourne Park. If you go up the steps on either side, you are met with a brick wall. I had to run across the track. Fortunately I knew which are the live rails or I might have got electrocuted.
My first drive was nice other than the front cab glass on the right side being crazed. A bit annoying when trying to see something on the right. I am on pc, Steam and do have mods installed. The wipers were going in the light rain was having.
According to JetWash you can put a ini file like WCML south into here and it should be fine until he gets the new save file out.
Was driving a 350 service towards Paddington, got spaded 0.7 miles before hanwell even though AWS didn't give me a warning. Signal also displayed green
You need the Isle of Wight 2022 Class 484 which gets reskinned into an LU train. Also Euston to Milton Keynes for 72 Stock AI
On XBox Series S, problem setting off in Class 802 on 5Z16 Royal Oak CS to Reading after diesel changeover. Stopped at Hayes & Harlington (last station at end of 25kV) and went through the usual procedure. Reverser Neutral Press engine start until hear engines Press diesel Pantograph down Reverser forward Apply power, nothing happens? Can hear the engines but can't get the train to move. Help please?
I disabled mods and the issue with the glass went away, so it is one of my loaded mods. I checked other trains and locos and they are not affected, only the class 165/166. In the old 2016 tt, both front windows are affected. Since its only the 166 and I plan, now, to only used the 2017 tt for GWE, I will live with it for now. Also with the ini file from WCML south loaded into God Mode, I do have TOD 4 weather.
The ex-C2C class 387 is missing the yellow bits on the doors: Other than that a really enjoyable experience!
Well done on this free update, just had a quick run in a HST from Reading to Pad, noticed that on the up fast when approaching Pad there are no advanced warning boards for the lower speeds also when stopped in Pad (08:29 arrival plt 10) the station announces the next departure from plat 10 is the 08:29 to Pad? presume this happens with all arrivals?
Steam - I encountered a bug while operating the 1P26 service with HST; upon approaching Acton Main Line station, the line towards Paddington was blocked , the trains in front of me are queuing and the trains at Paddington can't leave except for LU. The signals are all red, and even though I've deleted some trains, it doesn't change anything.
Xbox series s. The substitution on this route isn't great. Predominantly GWR trains. Is their any possibility of fixing the substitution for liveries. It worked earlier this morning when the remaster was released and somehow I can't really see any FGWs. I have only seen 2 but they were in the mix with the GWR hst. Edit: the substitution I mean is the liveries. Formation substitution is fine and I can see a lot. It's more the unique liveries. DTG Harry could you get the team to look at this potentially?
Yes it's nicely done. Have put some general comments in the main forum thread. One or two to mention here - first as I noted Reading station pretty much deserted at 1500, when in reality would be awash with passengers. Also running fast on the Down Main with a non stop HST from Paddington to Reading I had at least two AWS warning horns, presumably for junction speed restrictions not applicable to my train which should be suppressed if running down the Main.
So, I've managed to find a way to reduce all blurring on Xbox Series X. I've disabled the Voyager, 350 and the AI overground trains from Mildmay. And it runs like an absolute dream! Seriously hoping DTG can fix this core very soon, as having to disable layers is becoming a faff. But for now? I'm very happy!
not bad so far, but I am quite disappointed in lack of services for 802 and 220... thats what I was looking forward the most for the modern stock, so I could fly with it here, instead I got empty stock moves and yard/shunting...
Ran into stuck trains outside of Slough as well and trying to delete them caused a hard-freeze of laptop (Steam/Win11 fwiw). Hopefully there's a hotfix incoming
Well, this is actually correct. 220 don't run to London, they use Reading as a reverse to exit off the map. And 802 is incorrect for the time period. At the time of this route being set, 802's were still in testing. We have an 802 test run.
The wipers in the 166 aren't working. They wipe the screen in the wrong direction. Best way to see what I mean is by playing during a snow storm.
For some reason the Journey mode takes place in the old timetable. Bit lonely being one of two trains on the mainline
Loads of stations have the announcements not coming out of the speakers! at stations in which no speaker models exist and at existing stations put the audio at the speaker rather than having it come from nowhere at the stations please?
One piece of constructive feedback: The passenger saloon lighting is turned off on AI Class 166 units at night time. Was driving a HST service via Slough at night and noticed each 166 that passed me had the passenger lights turned off. A small issue to rectify. More positive piece of feedback: I'm very impressed with how successfully the night time lighting is in the route. The new HST cab lighting at night time is really well implemented, as is how the light from passing HST MK3 saloon lighting and how it illuminates the cab as you're driving along. It looks incredibly natural as do the lighting effects from passing trains. Also the night time lighting in general is extremely realistic compared to the original which felt illuminated even at night time to me. I think other routes could take a lesson on how to set up night time lighting from the GWE Remaster. Hand on heart I've not enjoyed a route this much in ages, this is thoroughly good work, and goes to show that you don't need to necessarily build a new route to have fun. You can improve existing routes and bring them up to this type of standard and still feel like you have a completely new route. The amount of traffic and variety is phenomenal... No more needs to be said! Also, worth while mentioning again, I've done several runs now on PS5 and not once had any blurring issues. Optimisation is exceptionally good.
Hi im on a ps5 and i was driving 5T12 from Old Oak Common depot to London Paddington and as j arrived into Paddington at around 5:28 i was prompted to stop at a red signal about 2/3 along platform 11 and that was because the earlier 5:17 Oxford service was still occupying the platform and hadn't left yet, however i then decided to try and drive that oxford service to see what would happen and when i got into the service bear in mind the heathrow connect train i was driving is still on the platform i was prompted to open the doors and then no objective came after and then the heathrow connect train (driven by the ai) left ajd still no objective came up and idk if thats a glitch or what but i dont think that should happen
The blue variants (HST, 165 & 166) represent an unbranded livery of First Great Western - The Green variants represent Great Western Railway -
The seating moquette has also been updated on the blue Mk3s/166s to look vaguely similar to the FGW branded stock.
I think this is incredible, well done on producing this for free too!! The rail singing needs rolling out to all the routes. It's one thing I miss from TSC along with slam doors.
I suppose this diesel switchover issue has probably always been there in the 802 from the core tsw6 launch, it's just the first time I have ever used it on electric and needed to swap to diesel. I can't imagine the fault is caused by the GWE remaster.
One SMALL ISSUE before I say all the good things. Saloon lights (passenger cabin) don't work meaning they are left in darkness during the night / early morning. Now the good things: Performance on PS5 with a significant amount of layers = great Lighting of the route itself = amazing Timetable = outstanding variety and so busy What a great remaster. Really well done!
It's an issue with the train not the route. It's been like this since riviera. One cab will switch power fine, one won't
One (constructive) suggestion... It's a great shame the remaster and new timetable didn't get its own Journey Mode. I'm guessing the only way to do Journey is via the original timetable, albeit on the updated route?
So, initially I selected the wrong year and thought the scenery looked amazing but the route was dead! However. On realising my mistake a did a Turbo stopping run from Paddington to Reading and must say it was excellent. So nice to see a busy mainline. HSTs and freight and just a nice busy route. Very well done. Also impressed that the turbo announcements worked correctly.
btw when I drive 166 is there any difference between like if I switch on TPWSIS and AWS fuse and if I press CTRL + ENTER (it shows TPWSIS on and "Safety systems on") ?
Fiddling with the horn quickly on the 166 will always cause horn to glitch out and one of the tones will stay on forever. Relief Line speed boards have missing character issue. This is a localization issue where the "MU" string is marked as translate-able, and therefore is only visible when selecting non-English (using Chinese here) as in-game language. This issue has been submitted as ticket #113307. Class 166 Services do not have the correct headcode data and such faulty headcode will appear onto GSM-R.
Why dont we drive to Drayton green on the Greenford branch . I just ride there a passenger and its a fully working station so why dont we drive it when doing Greenford jobs.
First conductor run on the 10:04 service to Penzance arrived at Reading after checking all 25 tickets and it never advanced to unlock doors the objective froze at wait for next stop.
Doing gaurd mode on the hst, and every passenger in first class is a fare dodger Not a single passenger with a First Class ticket, with the game classing them all as correct tickets!
Why did the remaster update the scoring on the diesel legends of the great western scenarios but not the timetable. DTG Liam
They show for me on PS5, so maybe you should check what you have installed and how everything is set up.
Has the freight jobs been given the correct speed limits. I just a container job from reading to Acton and was limited to 60mph and then about 3 miles from Acton limited to 75mph.
