I would love to see the Class 90 with its distinctive Class 82 DVT and give the Preston to Carlisle route a new timetable set in 1992.

In 1992, BR Blue was replaced by Intercity Executive, with the introduction of the Intercity Swallow livery starting to appear.

And I would also love to see the class 26 and class 60 locos

Although the video is set in Scotland, it gives a good example of what the 1990's looked like on the WCML.

BR in the 1990s Larkfield Junction Glasgow, WCML on 19th May 1992

The Class 90 is coming, albeit in a more modern freight focused role

I seem to recall that the passenger version is coming too. So I think this is highly likely, whether it will be more padding for the WCML sections (and Trent Valley at a much later date) or on the only regular passenger trains they've operated in the last 25 years with a GEML mainline route, time will tell.
