A quick one for when GWE:R comes out tomorrow. I am guessing we will need to remove the entry from GodMode for the route as it'll be based on the old lighting?

 

Yeah thats correct or at least you need to apply a copy from WCML South for example as sub in and wait for an official update.

 

I have a version made for it but it’s finding the time to update the mod that is the challenge. There aren’t enough hours in the day!

 

Someone should create a mod for that! Lol

 

Hey Jetwash would you be willing to post the beast preset here like you did with Riviera, Morristown and Liepzig Dresden until you push the update?

I know this is probably a very basic question, but what tool(s) do any of you use to modify the sav file? Notepad ++ or similar? Ta

 

I've noticed on the GWE:R that if we're running r.DefaultFeature.LensFlare=1 and r.LensFlareQuality=3 it disappears, and then when you play on other routes there is no flare, until you restart the game. Does this happen for anyone else? Or can someone else test and confirm. Currently, I've cleared the entry for the remastered version, so this is just an observation really.

JetWash how close is this ini file to the one in WCML south? That is what I have copied into the new redone GWR.

Yes! Weirdly it's working for me now too. Didn't change anything. I just spawned in on foot at Acton Main line, flare still not working, sat down on a bench, just messing around really, then noticed the flare began working...hmm.

 

sorry for being a noob, how do I just apply an ini to a specific route, i just have used god mode/etc and just run the sim

 

If you downloaded Jetwash's mod then it is done automatically if you want to copy and paste from the website then hover your most to tue top of the screen to bring up god mode menu then in the top right corner going left to right click on the second icon to bring up the route ini info and just paste what you copied in the slot under the route name

 

Can anyone suggest a good profile for the new TOD Aachen-Köln route? I used the Fulda-Frankfurt and it seemed ok, but was wondering if there was anything better?

I still don't get where I can apply these profiles. In which file of the mod are these settings saved? My Köln-Aachen right now seems waaay to bright with the mod without changes... So any help would be helpful - thank you!

 

Unless you have deleted the mod for Koln specifically, it will still have the TOD3 settings in there. It tells you in the manual, with pictures, where everything is.

I will update this mod to include all recent changes etc but at the moment I simply don’t have the time I’m afraid.

 

Is there a suggested set of route settings to use for the new ECW Remaster?

 

You need to pick one that is ToD4 so it's a hard choice since there are no ToD4 routes close by. I just picked Goblin Line and its up in London.
