BR 420 back in TBC category... This either is supposed to fool us and announce a release date soon, or something went horribly wrong.
Half way through feb and no sign of any release dates for routes . Think they announced them way too early.
If they hadn't the roadmap would be empty and there would be all sorts of conspiracy theories about the future of the sim as well as complaining nothing is happening! It's nice to know what is coming up as it's nice to have things to look forward too. Some just need to exercise some patience.
Well I hope there is a reasonable spread between releases or they will be in danger of saturating the market. Four or five routes over a six week period would be in the region of £200 to put out, so something would need to be triaged. Well in all honesty I think the JT route is some way off still as is MKC to Crewe. Plus I’ll be surprised if the Czech route is really that close. There’s also stuff other than TSW to consider - the next route extension for SimRail and the new bus game coming from Saber (Snowrunner).
Hello - just to be sure you've seen my latest update, I've gone through and answer a good majority of the Q&A thread questions, and the rest of the questions were answered either in our Roadmap article, or on our livestream. There's a few types of questions that tend to be unanswered, but that's most likely because we can't add a comment or input. Especially questions that relate to any of our upcoming content, service counts or layering questions - we ignore all of these, as they get answered in future posts and articles when we have that information. Be sure to take a look! https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-roadmap-q-a-thread.96617/page-2#post-1091645
Before anything else, they need to just put some effort into making a far better NYC. Considering how much NA content is based around it, with a fair bit going through the city itself, it’s really subpar. Then they can just use it as a template for other routes. The one thing putting me off the Stamford route is how bad NYC has been it every single route that’s featured it so far.
Is it me or is there very little DTG content on the roadmap? All are their devs working on other titles or could we perhaps expect some new DLC announcements from DTG soonish?
Nothing went horribly wrong. It just takes more time than expected. And since me working for DTG from time to time, and work there also often takes way longer than planned, all the plans shift a bit. There are only so many people available to do these things. Also i don't get the problem of the 420 not releasing today or yesterday. When it is ready it will be released. Nothing left to discuss i would say.
I would say it's because they are prioritising fixing core issues in the same way the community wanted. Then the community complain that they seem quiet.
Or horribly right... like a new route is releasing and they want to wait until that comes out to add it to the new route. Probably not, but it has happened before.
I wrote that before you were explaining the situation on the discord, so please just ignore that one. I understand you do more work than just on the 420, but i hope its a bit understandable for this likely being the most anticipated german dlc since its reannounce last year, making the waiting game harder with each delay. Or is it about the "simple (economic) math" decision making, still adding on the 420 plate on your table? (Im just joking)
I'm hoping the Harlem line is getting remastered, and they are just waiting for closer to the Stamford release to surprise us. They might as well since just less than half the route is basically being remastered already with the Stamford DLC.
I doubt the people working on core issues are the same people working on DLC. Sounds like a totally different skillset to me.
