Just a quick question to the developers of the Expert 101. I am able to drive this fantastic Lok using the TSC-X controller, but only the default red livery. If I select the cabcar or the other liveries of the 101, controllers do not work. Is there any chance this could be fixed. I love the expert series, but am not able to use a lot of your hard work as I can no longer bring myself to drive using a computer keyboard when a controller is available (especially as I use VR). I have posted a few times about this (as have others) and it has been met with deathly silence. Please, please allow us to enjoy these great products!!!!
Have you tried using this mod? I'm also on the TSC-X and have never had an issue https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-trains-using-a-joystick-no-raildriver.90609/
@Choo choo That's definitely not the reason. Because when you use the TSC-X controller, you also need the TSW Raildriver + Joystick Interface software. There are trains or locomotives where some part was not clicked or installed during creation. There was a thread about this at one point. Using different software for the controllers won't help either. At least, that's what I read just now. I'd be really surprised if it worked with this other software.
I just finished adding the RailDriver mapping curves to the BR 101 Expert (all variants, afaik only the base on works at the moment) and the cab car. We'll see how it goes in the beta testing, if these need to be tweaked. But I just wanted give you some good news
Just like you, I play with the TSC-X. I ordered one this summer and started out using CobraOne's software, then switched to this one here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...-trains-using-a-joystick-no-raildriver.90609/ No extra add ons, nothing. If you want to be that assertive and not believe me, then that's your choice. I will enjoy my expert 101 (all versions) and the cab car with the TSC-X in the meantime! Fun fact: Since this mod works with API, did you know that you can even control the individual buttons on the different screens (1-9, UD, brightness, contrast etc.) without ever touching your mouse if you wanted to?
Hello Choo choo I didn't write that this isn't possible, but rather that: ‘I would be really surprised if it worked with this other software.’ I've seen this other programme you use several times on the site, but until now I always thought that it wasn't as easy to use as the CobraOne software. I also read there that you can upload the profile you created using this software. This allows other users to download this profile directly in the programme. So I have a question for you. Do you now have one profile for all trains for German locomotives and trains, or have you created separate profiles for each locomotive or train? And can you also export this profile or profiles and send them to another user, who can then import them, or is this only possible via the programme for uploading profiles?
You will have to create different profile for rolling stock with different type of levers (Power-brake controller vs. Separate E-brakes, Air brakes and Throttle levers in the 101 for example). Buttons stay identical from one rolling stock to another. Very similar to what you would do in CobraOne's software. Yes you can totally do that. I could share my settings with you for each rolling stock and you could import them in the programme. They are in a txt file so I could literally copy and paste my settings for the 101 expert here.
Hello Choo choo Have you already created several profiles for German locomotives and trains? If so, could you please put them all in a .zip or .rar file and upload them to Pixeldraine or Gofile for me? That would be really nice of you, because then I could test this programme too. And could you also create a text file describing which functions you have assigned to the levers and buttons? Or can you see that automatically in the programme when you import a profile? Thank you and best regards, Emmy_MAN
