Wanted to see if anyone knew whether or not the M8 & New Haven Line services with layer onto the Harlem Line, given that they share a large amount of track. (Especially in the short Harlem Line route)

I’m not sure but wouldn’t it be great if that route was another surprise remaster? It’s one of my favourites

Harlem line signal programming is fundamentally different than the signal programming I did for Stamford. So for the M8 to layer onto Harlem, some backwards compatibility with the cab signals would have to be considered.

I wanna say that it was "being considered" and "after other projects."

Guess he gave up on the Clinchfield remaster. Sad.

It would definitely be great if the M8 layers onto Harlem Line as it does a few passenger service runs once in a while along the Harlem line. The other day, I rode an M8 along the Hudson line to my station. I definitely would love to see a Harlem Line remaster so it can be on par with the NY-Stamford route. I do wonder, if the M7A and M3A layer into NY-Stamdord, will they also receive upgrades.

It'd be nice just for traffic variety between GCT and Woodlawn

And this is why the community needs you!! Hopefully there are opportunities to broaden US routes with your awesome signaling.

People “needing” him doesn’t solve the bigger problems within DTG lol.
We all want things some times.

The hope stays alive on all fronts. I hope DTG focuses on things appreciated and “needed” by the community and simultaneously for better days where our SMEs can contribute in equal appreciation.

Is there a (Train Sim) World that brings all that together? Just putting out there for DTG take additional note. Poor Signaling can make this as terrible as blurry textures—do NOT miss the same warning signs missed on the texture front.

With the soon to be released NEC: New York - Stamford it would be nice at some point in the near future to see a TT update to the Harlem line to include the new rolling stock

it does get frustrating sometimes when a new DLC that joins an existing DLC doesn't get layered onto said DLC..

I understand that it might not always be an easy process but it just adds more gameplay/AI traffic, especially when the pre-existing DLC feels quite sparce and would gain a massive boost with the new DLC rolling stock inclusion!

It would definitely be great to see the M8 appear as a layer on the Harlem Line. I believe Cactusjuice previously mentioned for this to happen, the M8 would need to be backported or retrofitted to work with the signals on Harlem line, as the signalling logic featured on NY-Stamford is not as simple as the Harlem line, NY-Stamford featuring the signalling logic implemented by cactusjuice is much more accurate than prototypical than what the Harlem Line has, although both systems are the same on the Metro North portion

No plans for M8 to layer. Either if it could be done , the TT wouldn’t be able to work with only the upper level. No way :)

So why not just have the services that don't use the upper level be AI only?

I think Harlem could definitely stand to get the full LIRR treatment sometime, but I would hope not until after we have a Hudson line, so that then a remastered Harlem line benefiting from the changes made in the other two metro north routes, station overhauls, any skybox and terrain improvements, can properly incorporate services representing both into its timetable.

It could work as they could use the portal system for the lower level as they have done with NEC and using a portal to clear out some of the ai trains...
