    Hey guys.

A route proposal which I think would go down really well. This being the Bristol ‘commuter’ area to Cardiff Central.

This route combines multiple short(ish) routes together to make a nice network route.

This is a route which can utilise a significant amount of existing rolling stock, which we already have in game - as well as minimal changes required for appropriate stock variants, for existing rolling stock. Route details below:

    - Route A: Bristol Temple Meads to Severn Beach. Mileage: 13 miles. Rolling stock: GWR Class 165, 166 and 158.

    - Route B: Bristol Temple Meads (Stapleton Road) to Bristol Parkway. Mileage: 4 miles. Rolling stock: GWR Class 165, 166, 158, 80x, XC 220.

Route C: Bristol Parkway to Cardiff Central. Mileage: 33 miles. Rolling stock: GWR Class 80x, 387, GWR 80x, *GWR 16x, *GWR 158, XC 220, *XC 170, *TfW 150, *TfW 153, *TfW 150

(*Indicates whether the train will run either partial or full length of said route.)

Route D: Bristol Temple Meads (Stapleton Road) to Cardiff Central (Severn Tunnel Jn). Mileage: 14 miles. Rolling stock: See above.

All of these routes would be joined up, forming a triangle between the two Bristol stations, for services to and from Cardiff. The total mileage would be around 64 miles.

There is also plenty of freight opportunities along this route, with steel and oil being two big players, as well as aggregate and intermodal services too.

    What do you guys think?

Great idea, I think it would be nice if you could share a map with the different routes you suggested highlighted.

Hey. I've made this, which should be helpful for you and other users.

The main blue lines and the main routes I'd like to see featured (as mentioned in the main thread). The orange lines are some potential additional lines which I'd also like to see adding - time and resources pending of course.

I was thinking the other day how I wanted a longer stretch going from Cardiff Central to X.

    You have my vote.

Bridgend shouldn't that also be included in Main Route as it goes together with Newport.

A few part 1 & part 2 in some sections, but would probably work like others.

Definitely very good idea, love the idea of joining multiple sections - gives it a proper network feel.

Would love to see this, definitely could make as much use of the GWR licence as possible, we already have the trains.
