It looks like I completed this pre-remaster (shows gold), but as I re-attempted all again just to go through them, I’m curious to know if there is an issue, or if I’m doing something wrong when trying to do the brake test after startup? I cannot seem to get the brake pipe needle to go beyond about 3.8. I have tried a few things even not indicated in the tutorial instructions to try to help such as releasing parking brake, moving to forward from neutral, using the screen above to cut out the brakes etc… nothing appears to make this work in this tutorial to get past the release point.

Of note, the actual training center module for nearly the same same introduction DOES work and releases to required 5 as expected, so it does seem the module attached to the Great Western Express only has the issue… or a step in the process I’m not aware of that needs to be also done that may be restricting it.

Either looking for advice or reporting an issue.

Hi I had this exact issue but I just used the brake cut in and it worked. Although there is definitely a bug with that introduction!

So I did get this to (randomly?) work out… I actually moved the train a bit, noted that the brakes were not working. I used the screen above to set ‘cut in’ and applied (swore I did this before, and definitely not per instructions)…. Whatever happened, the BP now released to full 5. It’s a bit glitchy, admittedly, and not even sure it can be consistently repeated, but some combo including above worked. Just in case there are new folks to the route and want to get all the training cleared, hope this helps.

Confirmed, using the screen above driver seat to set “cut-in” brakes and apply/exit seems to do the trick to get BP release to 5 as required.
    Cheers

If you're referring to the initial hold to release brakes in the drag line scenario where for me it doesnt work initially, I have to press start and click on the help im stuck reset train physics for it to work, where is this "cut in"? You mention its on the screen above the driver, how do I operate this screen? All I can seem to do is VIEW the screen and nothing works.

You can operate the screen if you don't actually click on it first, on-screen functionality in TSW6 appears to have been broken since launch and never fixed.

Try running a Class 66 tutorial that takes you through the process of cutting in the brakes to learn how to do so beforehand.

Actually it doesn't (at least on the GWE Remaster on PS5). The Class 66 introduction scenario makes no mention of using the TSM screen to "cut in" the brakes. Please see Thread "Drag Line Scenario Trouble" to see video evidence that this "Cut In" instruction just isnt there in the Class 66 introduction on PS5. (Well not on mine at least and Ive gone through it several times)

One of the Class 66 tutorials - of which there are many - certainly does, otherwise I wouldn't have known what to in order to get it moving.

I'm going through them all one by one right now, although it may well have been a scenario from another DLC, so give me a minute.

Ok no worries, If you find one, let us know :)
it certainly didnt tell me in the GWE Remaster, I even had to reply to Dovetail Games Support email who suggested that it was, that it wasnt!

    Do you have East Coastway?

The Class 66 Introduction tutorial there covers brake cut-in.
