How is that misleading? Nothing was promised yet regarding a release date.

Yes, and maybe automate that trains are empty on depot or other ECS runs. I'd rather have the remaining passengers vanish than seeing them sit in the depot when I shut down the train.

You have just cleared a texture issue I had with that front folding door thingy, I was always under the impression that one side had a texture issue compared to the other side, but clearly your photo clears that up as normal

As well as the freight terminal at Newhaven Town there is one at Newhaven Marine but this not there in game as route was modelled at a time before this was opened.

Yeah, I’m glad that Matt acknowledged that too as people are craving a BML the most, or in the top 3 at least as I know TVP & NTP are highly requested also among UK route’s.
The future is definitely looking promising for UK remasters that’s for sure.

Ok maybe i was wrong about it being Mis-leading.
However when it comes to Speculation something they Don't like & that was proven with GWE they don't do themselves any favours be live streaming it pricing it & one of there community mangers actually who partly spoke out by saying it was going to release in February then was Quickly hushed up & forced into saying watch the community space how people do think watched that Stream who would be thinking how unprofessional of them to do something like that

You’re referring to Harry here I take it, yes she has a very energetic personality and may come across annoying to some, but IMO she adds humour to the streams and I’m certain when she disappeared that one time she snuck off to watch Eastenders.;)
When it came to the serious stuff (Q&A) she did quiet down and respond to questions in a sensible manner.
I think people just need to lighten up a bit.

Yep along with 1.3k who viewed it got the impression she was made to retract the February release date

Eh? Harry wasn't 'hushed up' or forced to say anything, from the stream I watched. It was said more than once that release is planned for February but that they can't confirm an exact date, so to watch out for an announcement in the usual community spaces.

Mountains being made out of molehills, frankly.

Always thought they should have options on the menu next to reset train setup for populate/depopulate train. Means if you are running empty it generates passengers onboard and if you’re going depot runs csn empty passengers out.
Obviously ideally have the behaviour sorted but a dirty fix in the interim.

Great, but has Matt stated he's unsure how to do the BML. Whether this is due to people wanting extentions to London Bridge, Crystal Palace, or off cut branches or traction issues around South Western etc.

One thing is for certain, once folk start playing the East Coastway remaster, when they go back to play London Commuter, Brighton on it is going to look a lot worse on that route. Let's hope the remaster happens.

Never go straight from a TOD4 route to an older route. I once made the mistake to play BML right after a session on Mittenwald. The contrast couldn't be bigger :)

Looking now the section of route suggested by forum members - Wivelsfield - Lewes its states Class 387 numbers which isn't part of the remaster or previous other than Gatwick Express. Although could have been subed as Class 377.

Not forgetting Cooksbridge - Plumpton stations seems differenering Patterns.

Their is freight trains, going this way, as today but cancelled (now) but I'm also not going to say lets extend London Comuter through to Acton Central for it.

But includes nostaltgic Class 313s for those that like former stock. Wiki states London Overground, Great Northern (only brand by Govia not to be in TSW) had these. Your right not Modern.

I think I am beggining to be rubbed off, of what forum members states.

To be fair, BML is the one route I can still go back to despite the lighting. It does really deserve a touch up though.

It's only fairly recently I've stopped playing BML as it held its own just in the timetable complexity alone and one of the only routes to have a decent end to end regional service. However, since new routes have come out with TOD4, suspension, announcements and the overall quality of the game (minus blurring) has improved I just can't play it anymore as it feels quite one dimensional in terms of immersion and it's age is really starting to show. It was the route I had the most miles on but that has now been overtaken by WCMLOS and SEHS.

I take the hint of what Matt said as basically a BML is on the radar. It would be a complex route to upgrade but well worth it for players and DTG alike. A potential flagship for them and an immensely entertaining route for players.

But for now I'll settle for the coastal pleasure of ECW...

I have the same thing with (current) ECW and Ruhr Sieg Nord. However, the more this game progresses and more routes are upgraded to TOD4, the more difficult it gets to keep this up ...

Yeah I don’t know, there’s two options though. Do they do a core route TSW7 style remake with the extensions you mentioned or do they just remaster it with TOD4 lighting and updated timetables, assets and stock.
The remaster would be quicker, but more people would obviously want an extension to London Bridge. I’d even push it further to London Blackfriars myself.

Yeah, that was just you, not the other 1,299 viewers. What does it matter anyway? It gets announced when it does. Until then it's all 'hope' and 'maybe'.

Hopefully they can fix the footbridge at Lewes which has always bugged me (wasn't fixed in the stream), it's completely different to the one in real life.

Yeah for me it’s certainly the consistency rather than one being better than the other. Personally though I’d settle for just getting suspension on the rolling stock, it’s definitely the biggest thing I notice being gone on older content.

Once Liams feature full 387 with the AP soundpack comes out, that’ll likely be the nail in the coffin of BML for me.

That would be a great addition for TSW7 and it would sell like hotcakes. Sort of like a fancy version of the SEHS extension but with much more like LB in the shadow of the Shard and a proper 700 timetable on the BML. Plus improved scenery and lighting of course. Absolute winner.
And a big yes for Crystal Palace branch as well with 378’s now in the game. Then we have both ends of the Windrush Line don’t we? Waiting for someone to join the dots.

I'd love a BML remaster, drop a 700/1 in there as well unless we go a bit more retro with a 442. But, a route containing both Clapham Junction *and* London Bridge. You'd really need DTG to get this game fully optimised for that to run well!

SEHS extention surely not, layers added Class 171s from Eastbourne.

Has proper Class 700 do mean Norwood Junction to Brighton (as services from Peterborough, Bedford etc) that would be good for the remaster.

Unless everybody wants a new route/s & we get DTG to get rid of London Comuter, rather than a remaster.

Depends how many dots their are you want joining, 1x 2x or more than isn't in a New route then won't be coming I think.

    Ie Northampton loop
    Heathrow
    Windsor & Eton
    East Grinstead
    Tattenham Corner

Has don't expect 3rd parties to ever pick these up.

No, he’s not implying they do another SEHS extension. He was using SEHS as an example.

Wasn't totally sure, whether it was extened or not sorry.

Slight other point, besides going off topic,

To add to above, Rose Hill Marple (Hyde North) in Glossop route. Maybe up to a 3rd party to come along & raise the Glossop route which had been done & do Rose Hill Marple branch. Either that or is a case of tractiom been issued by Northern for the route to be created.

A 442 would be excellent. It’s a shame one of the biggest factors which makes the route so good, is what holds it back from a lot of things.

Agreed. I'd go as far as to say that, apart from my 'home' route of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway, a BML Remastered would be one of the few things that would offset for me the horror of yet another TSW iteration.

I already have this when coming from a route with TOD4 and suspension physics starting a route with TOD4 but without suspension physics. Just tried SEHS, route still looks gorgeous but the trains feel like they are broken. So glad the trains won't feel broken on ECW

For me, the suspension is not as important as the graphics and lighting. Sometimes I don't even notice. But that's personal preference I guess.

I would take TOD4 upgrades over suspension but I am also now finding that I am noticing not having suspension. I didn't think I'd find it would make a difference.

This is why apart from route remasters I would love to see DTG undertaking to upgrade older trains with suspension.

I drove the 710 the other day. Lovely model but not having suspension as you pull out of Euston when the other trains have it is noticeable.

Why did the Cross City 323 never get it I wonder.

Well, I couldn’t resist and fired up Brighton Mainline (London commuter) for the first time in a long, long time. I have to say, I think East Coastway has stood the test of time much better than Brighton Mainline, the scenery is well, bland and lacking in places. It shows what great strides we’ve made in TSW to say that about this route now, when at the time I know for me how incredible it was to have in TSW with that huge timetable!

Also, as a Northerner, we’ve been spoilt by further up North routes lately. I’d like a return down south in TSW (I know we’re getting Medway Valley but maybe St Pancras to Bedford, or a Southeastern network type route as seen in TSC).

Back onto East Coastway, I know the present real-life timetable has Seaford services skip-stopping Southease and Newhaven Harbour alternatively, but I can’t remember if that was the case with this timetable too? It adds more variety at least.

ECW is not a route I particularly like and I regretted buying at full price when it released because I found it to be very dull in comparison to the routes I already had at the time. It did look better in the live stream but it’s not an interesting route. It might feel a little bit more alive with the new timetables in the Rivet pack but I won’t be rushing out to buy that when it releases. It’ll be something for a big discount in years to come. A BML remaster if done well would be something I’d be interested in because that was a much better route to start with and has so much more going on and much more interesting scenery.

For me the attractive part of ECW was it being the first we’d got a properly modern UK DLC - until then we’d only had GWE & BR routes. Other than that I don’t think I’d have ever thought of it being something I’d want to see in game.

After its various updates (remember there was a time we didn’t have station PIS?) it’s a nice route that’s slotted very well into TSW overall. We’ve got alot of express run themed DLC’s & it’s nice to have another rural local line, especially one that gives buffer to buffer runs - now that it’s getting brought upto current standard I think it’ll be a strong pick, especially with the 171 giving it some diesel thrashing opportunities.

Yes, I quite like the route itself. I haven't played it very much because I'm not a fan of its emu ( or any emu for that matter ).

Now that a diesel- hydraulic unit will be released for the route and the route itself will be upgraded it will likely get more of my attention.

I just wish I didn't have to acquire yet another re-used electrostar in order to get the dmu.

I also hope that this remaster doesn't give me the problems I'm having with the GWE-R.

I always loved the atmosphere of the route and the service patterns. I just didn't play it a lot lately because of the older lighting. I was already very pleased with the announcement of Rivet's train pack, but now extatic with the route being remastered. Can't wait!

I have always enjoyed the Seaford branch, especially pottering up and down there in the 313. The community timetable really bought it to life and now with the upgrade and the busier timetable with the 171 it is going to make it even more enjoyable. It was always a good quality route and one where I could handle the old lighting. BML is far too dark, there are times when you are in a cutting approaching a tunnel and it is hard to see where the tunnel mouth is.

I know TOD4 lighting can sometimes be considered a bit too overblown but for me, it is hands down a far better lighting system than its predecessors.

Agreed regarding TOD 4 lighting - brighter days and, for me what I like best personally, is that night time actually feels dark.

Have been playing ECW recently and you can just see how dark it is in broad daylight, especially the first picture:

Unsure, has would that equal a week or 2 before 171s are released. Also 387s. Assuming the piece join together that is. Albeit not in game route map, subject to change I suppose.

Ie Hove Station on Brighton Mainline plus London Road Brighton.

Former ECW missed Hove on in game route map.

Would have thought same ratio would have been used for both. But nah.

I wonder if we might see a surprise preview/announce for the GWR Class 387 to go along with the ECWR.

I'm feeling like the HST farewell pack is lurking just around the corner.

    Suggestions go here > https://forums.dovetailgames.com/forums/suggestions.75/

They are also expected to be detailed & not just lists of routes & stations.
