Loco Avanti West Coast Class 805 Add-on Feedback Thread

For me on PS5 I also can’t depend on the save game, especially if I use it around a red signal.

If it isn’t the signalling that breaks it’s the train itself. I’ve had to do the same as Tom - leaving the game open on pause. If I do use the save function now, it’s only to bank AP (if I’m bothered to lose them) & get what I can from the run in terms of XP.

In any case the notion of just removing something because it’s broken is ridiculous, if we did that with TSW we’d have very little content.

 

Well they did not fix it, but they did change the behaviour a tiny bit!!

Remote tail light indicator is just on all the time now regardless. Which is preferable I guess, because at least you can pretend it works and just never go in the other cab.

 

Am I the only one who still cant play the journey because it crashes on the loading when trying go from Euston. This is on xbox series x.

 

A rare refund for me.

Too many issues on Xbox and too many lazy issues copied over from the 802, plus weird pantograph selection behaviour/logic or lack thereof in various formations.

Nice model and paint job though.

 

that panto selection isnt that hard... it is literally the first thing I figured about this unit, before I realized there is a Panto Up button in the cab lol

 

I wonder, just out of curiosity - lets say I raised one panto on lead unit and both on the trailing unit... I guess it wouldnt really matter in terms of power delivery?

I didn’t think they did refunds on Xbox. It’s the same policy on PlayStation, if the digital content has been played and downloaded you’re not eligible for a refund.

How did you manage to pull that off?

 

I've done that a few times i just told them dlc keep crashing my xbox witch it did. And the refund me after a day.

 

Just request a refund from the relevant page with all your orders that are eligible, if it is within a reasonable time period then they are basically always approved.

Unless a specific company has a specific policy. EA are a nightmare!!

 

Microsoft must be more lenient when it comes to refunds then. Sony are tough as old boots with their rules. The only times I’ve been able to get a refund was from a pre-order cancellation, but as I said digital content they refused my request as I had played and downloaded the content in question.

 

DTG Harry DTG Alex DTG Jamie morning guys can you please explain to me why on earth this dlc keeps on crashing every time I open job on crewe/Birmingham route crashes on the loading screen same goes for Euston/Milton Keynes. This getting very frustrating now because I cant get refund now cause its passed the window. This is on xbox series x. So i would appcirate some feedback as what is going on with dlc. Please find attached photo. Im meet with this evey job i try and do . I have almost all layers disabled .

 

I have really enjoyed driving the Class 805 and have completed all 6 scenarios on WCML(S). My only issue has been that the announcements are not working properly. This is a shame as the announcements do add to the immersion - but not if they play at the wrong point. As an example

Just before Watford - We are now approaching Milton Keynes announcement
At Watford This is Watford Junction - Welcome Aboard announcement (Watford isn't a stop so no-one can join there)
Just before Tring - We are now approaching Milton Keynes announcement

It seems the "We are now approaching" announcement is being triggered by the go via instructions in the scenario. This is the same in all the other 5 scenarios.

I hope you will be able to fix this.

Im on xbox series x and im having so many ctd with this add on its wearing thin now.

 

Microsoft have generally, in my experience, been pretty no questions asked with refunds.
They've even been a lot more lenient than Steam, refunding me stuff with far more playtime than a few hours, if a new update broke features or if there was some kind of softlock 40 hours in.

Sony are absolutely absurd and as far as I know in violation of several European laws on consumer rights. This is, after all, the one and only storefront which, after the game's messy last-gen console launch, took Cyberpunk 2077 off sale rather than allow CDPR's declared policy which every other storefront followed, that anyone could request a refund on it for any reason at any time, because Sony refused to sell copies only for them to be refunded.

 

Yeah I used to pickup TSW addons on my Xbox, before grabbing them for my PS to check for any major issues, since Sony are a complete nightmare.

I did eventually stop doing that though since the Xbox version of TSW is in such a laughably poor state compared to PS, that I couldn’t really compare the two pieces of software.

 

It usually happens when pulling into crewe or halfway through a scenario. its pretty annoying as i really looked forward to the 805 and its soul crushing this is happening.

I did it for this 805 too. Just told them it kept crashing with out of memory issues that the dev was aware of rendering it unplayable.

 

That’s refreshing to know that Microsoft are quite relaxed when it comes to refunds. Sony on the other hand… ha, yeah I’ll say no more

 

Can someone from DTG please advise if there is a patch coming for this dlc as im on xbox series x. And im having so many ctd on the job loading screens on both routes. Its starting to wear thin now guys the lack of communication. DTG Harry

 

My feedback for the Class 805 Evero timetable (also posted in the dedicated WCML South feedback thread too as some overlap):

- On Series X, you can't play any Class 805 services which depart from Euston as it results in a video memory error on the loading screen if you select any service from the menu; also doesn't work either by spawning on foot too - this is completely unacceptable and should be fixed immediately as people deserve so much better than this, especially when we paid for something to work as expected. However, some things of note too. Firstly, the 805 works fine if going from Milton Keynes back to Euston. Secondly, playing any other service with other trains within the Evero timetable also works without issue.

- In the 'Evero timetable', London Overground Class 378s (both 4- and 5-car variants) as well as the Class 710/3 are not included at all (which is highly disappointing) i.e. no playable or AI services unlike the base WCML South and Intermodal timetables. For context, the 805 WCML South provides only the Class 710/2 for all LO services. This is exactly why I hate having multiple timetables for the same route when some trains are included and some missing - it should ideally be all one timetable for the best experience.

 

It's completely unacceptable.

 

Total agree with there and their complete ignorance of it is really starting to annoy me. I was starting to feel like I was the only one with problems.

 

If you haven't figured out that they don't care yet, then I don't know what to tell you.

Time and time and time again we flag and report all these issues and time and time again radio silence in response.

Then a token 'road map' or some other communication, saying that everything is going to be different from now on and everyone laps it up for some reason.

 

I figured that out a long time ago still ayonning tho.

 

Hi everyone,
I’ve got a question about the Class 805 and I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if this is actually a bug.
A few times now I’ve had the objective change to “Lock Doors”. I close the doors, they are fully shut, but the objective just doesn’t complete and stays stuck on “Lock Doors”. Because of that I can’t finish the service.
It’s happened at different points, once right at the start in Crewe and another time at the end in Birmingham, so it doesn’t seem tied to one specific place. I have faults turned off as well, so it shouldn’t be related to that.
Am I missing a step somewhere with the 805, or is this a known issue? I’ve looked through some of the posts here but I’m still not really sure what the cause is.
Any help would be appreciated.
