Allow/force 3rd party devs to patch things that are broken before moving onto the next DLC.

Call me a moaner but I'd rather a slower release schedule and things actually working.

The most annoying thing is that the same German content is filled with minor bugs that they are in no hurry to fix.
    1. BR 193 Vectron DB - incorrect point calculation for safety systems. Requires ATB to be enabled on German routes and PZB on Dutch routes. This results in 35 points and an inability to complete the service for a platinum medal. It doesn't interfere with playing on it in any way, but the bug has been around for a year now and it's annoying.
    2. BR194. The scoring in services is broken. It shows 0 points everywhere. It's still playable, but another minor bug is annoying.
    3. Some services on BR294 on the Dresden-Leipzig route end in a SPAD at the start. Yes, this can be circumvented using the free room mode, but why it can't be fixed remains a mystery.
    4. Everything is broken in the Dresden Leipzig journey mode in the BR363 chapter. Yes, it seems like it can be completed through the timetable mode. But back to the previous question: is it really that hard to fix?
I listed the first things that came to mind.

That would polish Rivet off, then! But yes in principle I agree though there is the caveat that some developers (TSG?) have passed fixes to DTG who then filed them away. Or issues like the G6 timetables that can’t be completed due to route issues that only DTG can fix, very unlikely in the case of RRO.

You've reminded me of another annoying bug with this locomotive, and many others: when playing with a gamepad, when you press the SIFA confirmation, the PZB confirmation is also triggered, with a corresponding sound. A minor bug, but very annoying. It's been fixed on some locomotives and trains (the latest ones don't have it at all), but many are simply forgotten.

Problem is, it's not always their fault something is broken or not fixed.

So all this would do is penalise them for something they can't control.

Good idea but highly unlikely because profit comes from sales not bug fixes

I wish they would switch to the model of SCS with Euro Truck Sim 2 - they release maybe one or two really good DLCs a year and there are virtually no bugs even with mods. Why is this so difficult?

You can argue profit margin but at the end of the day who has the bigger profit margin? Even if you adjust for niche interest percentage I imagine SCS comes out on top.

It's a shame the contracts between DTG and third party creators seemingly don't have any clauses about post-release support and patches.
A post-release patch, followed by a more substantive patch within 3 months of release and then a final one within 3 months of the next annual re-release of TSW would be far better than the current situation where it's pot luck if the DLC you've bought will be improved and have bugs fixed.

However, more onerous contract terms may put-off some creators from working with DTG. That balance between the thirst for new content and the desire for quality content is a difficult one to perfect as most of us want quality and quantity.
