Xbox Series X My Temporary Fix (xbox)

So, like most of us, I've been suffering with the god awful blurring textures forever. I've been messing around, experimenting with the settings. And I believe I've found the failsafe, without the need to disable layers.

• Go into settings
• Switch off volumetric fog
• Switch the suspension to standard, turn off "improved"
• Motion blur off

Please let me know if this is any help. It's helped me play, at 4K, with all layers.

Btw, has it worked for blurry textures for all routes, or just some?

 

So far, I've tested it on GWE:R, WCML South & Riviera. I get the tiny splodges of blur, but it's not persistent. It's far smoother now.

 

Also, make sure your cloud quality is set to no more than High. Ultra sucks down processing and memory, for almost no visible difference.

Is this a PC settings? I can't see cloud quality.

 

On pc High or very high i should choose. Ultra brings nothing more only less fps

 

But I'm on Xbox, so I'm not sure why folk are mentioning PC settings.

 

On Xbox its the same. Lower it to High or Very High. I was thinking you ask for pc.

 

In which settings menu is this "cloud" setting? I can't find it.

In the graphics settings for TSW, you have the option to select the clouds quality.
That's why he writes that you shouldn't set the clouds to Ultra.

 

I don't have the graphics settings in the sub menus. I've gone through everything, to no avail.

 

As I've asked, is it a PC settings? If so, the prefix states Xbox so I'm unsure why I'm being told about PC settings when I don't have access to them.

 

As an Xbox player, I've never seen such settings for cloud quality. So definitely has to be a PC-only feature unsurprisingly. But, appreciate players are still assisting to help regardless, so that's much appreciated.

Nope... On the GWE, with the 166, all layers active, the blurred textures appear near Ealing Broadway. Full HD.

In the Advanced Settings, you should have the option to adjust the sky.

And that should not be set to Ultra.

 

On Xbox, in the advanced settings, there is no sky option.

 

in advanced settings you should have 10 rendering sliders as well ...

 

Not on Xbox series X.I dont know about the pc version though.

 

This is a fix (which doesn’t work, but thanks anyway to the author of the post) for Xbox. Please stop posting references to PC settings. On Xbox, you can’t adjust the cloud quality…

Apologies to anybody that this hasn't worked for. It has worked for me, so I hope a bigger fix comes along soon!

 

So, I tried your suggestion. In my opinion, while the blurring still occurred, it seemed to have a slight improvement. However, I just can't enjoy the game as much when motion blur is switched off though.

But, we can all agree that blurry textures need to be sorted ASAP. It's really ruining overall enjoyment of the game - especially how long this has now been going on for!
