In Train Sim World, which station or stations are your favourite for a bit of virtual trainspotting - I quite like it, very relaxing after a stressful day.

    For me, probably South Kenton:

Probably New Street on Crewe to Birmingham although when the 387 comes out for GWE I think somewhere like Acton will be good.

I do miss New Street from around the early 90's so when the new JT WCML route comes out somewhere like Preston, Crewe or Wigan might usurp it.

I’ve not ever done this, I’d probably get twitchy after 5 mins and want to jump on and drive!

I have sat as a passenger once or twice from Ashford to St Panc just to recreate that journey which I make fairly often.

I’ve been enjoying Manchester Piccadilly on MAC, Carlisle, Cardiff Central, and since the remaster, standing on the footbridge at Ealing Broadway on GWE. Frankfurt Hbf on Frankfurt-Fulda is also good but not done that one for a while. I’ve not really found a good spot on WCMLS but I might give South Kenton a go at some point.

I used to spend quite a lot of time at Balham on BML back when that was the only busy route and that was about one train every minute passing there but little variety in trains. One train per minute on average is a good rate for watching trains go by and the bigger the variety of stock the better. It’s just a pleasant way to spend time while perhaps doing something else as well. Just pick a nice spot to stand and leave it playing in the background.
