Despite having all on-train announcements set to 'off', there is always an announcement in cab when driving between Brighton and Eastbourne. Upon stopping at a station, and then again on departure, it announces 'Ashford International', then pauses, then 'St Leonard's Warrier Square', then pause, then 'Ashford International', at full volume. Not sure if anyone else has experienced this issue? Otherwise pretty happy with this pack (PC player). The old 377 sounds are showing their age though, would be nice if they were all upgraded and brought into line with the BML 377 and 377/2.
Just refund it people. one of the things I’ve found with TSW is that every traction add-on is getting worse. What’s worse still is that they’re all reskin (or to be kinder reworked) trains that already exist and they have the same problems as the originals. nuclear 20s, 805, 47484, now 171 & 377 all have significant faults. I’ve no idea if the east coastway route remaster is any good or not because I’ve nothing to drive on it to make it worth it.
I might give it a try when the Monthly Mastery resumes tomorrow but at present still busy with the new SimRail add ons. Though, to be fair, they are not without fault either - seems lack of QA and testing is becoming endemic in the Trainsim universe!
I would say it sometimes seeps into real life ... as great locos as Vectrons are, sometimes poor implementation of digital features and other stuff in their various national versions can cause headaches ... two days ago a poor driver of a ČD RailJet Vectron was trying for like 25mins to successfully make the train to go... after multiple restarts he finally managed to do so (I could see headlights being turned off and on, panto being dropped and raised multiple times etc)
They are just rushing more and more half baked stuff out to be honest. If people want to keep giving them money, then fair enough, each to their own. Thinking that anything is going to change at this point is crazy though!! Personally, I have found a couple of other games to get stuck into recently and don't see myself returning to TSW any time soon.
Yes much the same. But I think people who buy it and find it inadequate should refund it. That makes the point more.
just played the 377/3 and i have noticed that the coach in the direction of seaford has no interior lights, the rear two coaches seem to have their interior lights on, DTG Harry could the team have a look at it as i have had the same issue on every service on the 377/3
One thing that is absent from the new timetable is the Aggregate loading services, which is a little disappointing
I have to say the pack is great for the timetable, but the 171 and the 377 are just a little meh tbh for me, they're not awful but they're not something I'd rush to write home about. I'm not sure I'd buy it again if I was in this position, would be waiting for a sale I think. You can't just pay full price for a timetable as good as it is. The ECW remaster really shines for me with the 313, especially now it has suspension and announcements (although they need to be updated to the same ones as the rivet ones).
I had the spad with 1G06 and found that on my third attempt if I came to a complete stop and then contacted the signaller I was okay. If I don’t come to stop it spads
PS5 on all services the 377/3 won’t acknowledge the DVD when I press the circle ⭕️ button and consequently applies emergency breaks every time. Thus the 377/3 is basically unusable
[Xbox Series X] One minor issue I've encountered is that the B button isn't cancelling the DSD alarm on the 377/3.
You can acknowledge it by hovering the cursor over the pedal on the floor and pressing A on Xbox or (I assume) X on PlayStation. A bit annoying, sure, but at least it makes it drivable with safeties on until they fix it
Yeah I sussed this workaround out fairly quickly. Had a lovely 4 hour session in my 377/3. Grown to really like the little unit.
I solved it by intermittently pinging the throttle and brakes, so the vigilance doesn't activate . But this is if course no real solution....
My finger was about to hover over the “Buy” button but after watching the DadRail clip where he drives the 171 from Eastbourne to Brighton, it’s back on the sale list only. He was moderately critical of the sounds and you can definitely tell not much better than the original 170. Lack any real grunt and track resonance and point clatter is minimal. Better than the non existent on Fife Circle, but still…
The point clatter seemed to me to be really good on the 313 so I'm unsure why it hasn't translated here with the 171. Did another run on the journey mode and my first run was immediately ruined by the dynamic weather going from blue sky to fog. I wish the journey would use set weather patterns and the early ones would just let you see the route in daylight. I also had to close and reopen doors at Brighton to get the objective to complete which is a minor inconvenience. I can also add +1 to the 171s cutting out sound when they pass eachother. I think so far I'd have to give this one a 3/5. The timetable is the saving grace I love it and Tyler smashed that. I like the idea of the scenarios so far with all the brake tests and procedures, the journey mode is nicely laid out apart from the weather issue. I like that the 377 chapter is a day shift in the 377. But then the 377 and 171 along with their issues leave me feeling slightly underwhelmed? Unfortunately it feels a bit like classic Rivet again, which is a shame because Tyler's work is incredible and I was really ready to give them another chance.
Until... 1. There's at least 50% off in a sale. (Or it turns up cheap via a part owned bundle). 2. DTG/Rivet acknowledge the sounds are still a bit pants and fix them. 3. We get a surprise announcement that Stage 2 is an extension of the route to Hastings and Ashford, giving the 171 considerably more miles to run on. Of the above, 1 seems the most likely candidate.
The sounds on the Scotrail 170 are awful. The same sounds used for the WMR/XC 170. And now for the 171...
I'm on Xbox series X every time I go over a junction it sounds like your walking on the tracks ballest that is from the br class 171.
The sounds on the 171 sound surprisingly better than the 170s we have. Certainly an upgrade from the Scotrail 170. Still not perfect, but a definite improvement.
There's a Steam bundle for everything for this route, 10% off. I already had everything else, so I the addon only cost me £11.69. I'm happy with that, the new timetable is worth it, Brighton in particular benefits.
So doing the bridge strike scenario and half the starts raining and window wiper crappps out after a few seconds and cannot get to turn back . All faults turned off i thought they sorted this wiper bug out.
I just hope Rivet Games take note of all these problems and get a patch out ASAP. Things I have noticed. 1. Headlight / Tail light panel shows all red indicators. 2. On the 377 the outside open door indicator do not light up on the center coach. Both light up on front and rear coaches. 3. Would be nice when pressing the B key on keyaboard you hear the bell sound. (not even on the default version) but as a supposed new DLC they could add. I think alot of the issues on the 377 is due to it being a copy & paste job.
As much as I love this remaster having played it now for many hours, it's very frustrating to have the 377/3 like the original ECW 377/4 which still features poorer sounds and unrealistic PIS. Really wish there was more consistency considering the BML 377/4 and WCML 377/2 are so much better in every way.
I can't turn on the cab lights on the left side in the class 377/3, it goes only on the right side on (Xbox Series X)
Hi, I was going to post that problem as well, until l thought let’s see what the lights work in the 377/4 and they are the same there as well, just the far right light comes on. As mentioned earlier this is a copy & paste dlc of the 377. They never said it was a completely new model so we should have been a bit wiser.
The switch for the left side is in a weird spot. If you sit down facing forward. Look straight down and a little to the left. The switch is there
Xbox Series X Just completed the Unit Drag scenario and noticed it gave me points towards Tees Valley?? Please ignore my speeding fines!
Honestly i find it super annoying how loud the cab is but when you open both windows it gets significantly quieter. I have no clue when it sounds like an AIrbus trying to take off when you're just coasting with no power applied. I like to open a window or two, sometimes i want to do a run with the windows up but in this train its just too loud. I have to check the bcc 170 to see if thats the same way as i havent played it in a while.
