Hello folks, Tomorrow, March 3rd at 7 pm UTC, we will preview the upcoming Liberec - Stará Paka route. If you have any questions, please post them here. We will gather your questions beforehand, but please understand that we might not be able to answer all of them. To make things run smoothly, please use this thread for questions related to the new route only; discussions are best held in a dedicated discussion thread. After the preview stream, we will timestamp the VOD on YouTube, post a summary of the questions and answers, and close the thread, as it will have served its purpose by then. Looking forward to seeing you in chat! All the best, Jan
What is the release date? How much will it cost? Plus will there be any pre release purchase incentives, as SimRail just did with Lodz Junction and the Impuls 2 EMU? Will the 750 be using raw, unsilenced sounds or the more subdued muffled “stack talk” of the rebuilt version? How many driveable services, given Czech routes are not always blessed with the most frequent timetable? Any plans for follow up DLC, such as loco hauled rolling stock or a lovely raspy sounding Class 749 or 751?
After watching some clips of the real 750 and 843 in action I do have to ask why these were chosen over potentially more interestIng classes? The 750’s are very quiet compared to a 749 or 751, in fact even in external view the traction motor dominates the sound field, the exhaust is barely audible. For the DMU/Railcar why not the little 810 or the 850/851 - the 843 sounds more like an EMU when being filmed from the cab.
Will they announce the release date on tomorrow evenings stream. Thursday March 5th or Tuesday March 10th??
Why use the same thing over and over again when there's the legendary Class 770? Which would look great as a DLC.
Will there be content also for Slovakia? Is conductor mode functional in this route? We're the sounds recorded from the real things? What's the issue with Ceske Drahy not giving out branding?
Will the trains do the bouncy bouncy? Should be standard by now but to avoid any disappointment I want to know if the trains will have suspension physics at launch?
You mentioned there would be lots of yard work in this dlc. Does this mean a substantial freight component? ( answer from devs only please )
With East Coastway's remaster being a big success and turning point regarding having no blurry textures at all on console, has DTG or any other third-party for that matter, worked with Vector Simulations regarding blurry textures, optimisation and performance? This route looks superb and I really hope it lives up to expectations on console.
The border with Germany is not far from Liberec: Is it being considered that the route to Zittau or Görlitz will be extended from Liberec?
Are the "contacting a dispatcher to confirm the displayed signal applies to you" feature, and the "use of horn to control a banking train" going to be included in timetable mode or only in scenarios? Are there going to be malfunctioning level crossings?
Has this route been developed with potential future expansion in mind? We see many 3P devs come out with routes & build around the same area, but never build on the existing project. With this route there looks to be others that could stem from it & potentially create a network.
As the new DB BR 145 Expert is being streamed this Thursday, we must be having two new releases within the next 10 days.
I echo the question about Train and station announcements. Will they be in this route. I also agree that every route moving forward should have this feature. It would be a bonus if older routes got them too via a patch.
Thought of a couple more… Have structures, bridges and any tunnels been given reverb? Can the stream please demonstrate the route at night both in the towns and out in the countryside.
I'll second that, but I'll be surprised if MP does that, he usually avoids any extensive night driving on streams.
