I don't understand why people are suggesting the TGV as a Eurostar replacement. It is not a replacement. However, an ICE 3 would suit a lot better with an unbranded livery and I feel people would prefer that a lot more

It belongs to the same family of trains, the cabs are very similar and is equipped KVB and TV. It works as a placeholder. Meanwhile the ICE 3 in game doesn’t, when I believe it is meant to, and is this the same sub-class with 25Kv 50Hz? (I had thought it was utilising Off the rails in the timetabled services)

Does the 374 not come from the velaro family which is similar to the ICE3 NEO

Yes, I'm not saying it shouldn't be included, all I'm making out is that the TGV works as a placeholder for the 373, and unlike the ICE3, is equipped with the correct signalling systems in game for it to be usable on SEHS. I personally enjoy driving it very much There is a mod for the ICE to include KVB and TVM - as it does irl - but again another splendid job only available on PC which DTG should really have done themselves from the beginning.

The Duplex and TMST power cars are very different shapes, with the TMST nose cone going from roof to coupler hatch in pretty much a straight line as opposed to the Duplex's much more rounded shape. I grew up around these sets and in reality the Duplex / PBKA power cars look massive next to the 373'ss which were built to UK loading gauge, and so would look completely out of place in the UK not to mention they'd hit the platforms at Ashford. And that's before we start talking about the double deck trailers on the Duplex, and the fact that the 373 sets are almost twice the length...

I see your point. The Eurostar platforms on the UK side irl were designed to accommodate trains fitted with European loading gauge, and are lower than the standard British ones, but in game they haven’t scaled it properly which i think is why it does clip it sometimes. As I said, it isn’t perfect, and honestly it does require a little bit of imagination to be able to accept it as a placeholder, but as I say it comes from the same family of trains and the cabs are very similar - that way from a drivers pov there isn’t a dramatic difference. There was even someone who created a custom Eurostar livery for the Duplex. Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions and I respect that, but I’m personally quite happy with - and i’m sure not the only one - using the TGV Duplex to recreate some of the Eurostar services, which is why I like using it in free toam sometimes. I’ll leave it there :)
