Yes lol - it makes it not so fun to drive, as alongside sound issues and the loco functionality just seeming dated with many things in-op unlike recent trains, you also can't really see the scenery!

 

Whats the 380 like i just saw that on xbox store where does that is it better.

 

The loco is much better quality.
Still has a small window. I got it for the CCL timetable upgrade (I think that was the one bundled with this).

Bought it playing it. its much better the window doesn't feel small compared to the 385.

 

I've just tried to play a service with the 385 and it's awful. I've not driven it for a couple of months and this issue is new. There's this constant 2 tone almost alarm like sound that never stops or quietens.

This is on Xbox one. Never had this issue before with the 385.

Still has far too quick braking. I used it (380) on a couple of Shields ECS runs to get the 20C Mastery runs done and anything over about 8% braking the thing pretty much stands on its nose.

 

Yes braking is really sharp i thought.

Scenario: [158] 5N40 Glasgow-Eastfield depot.

After waiting at the red signal before entering the depot, a class 385 passes you and at the rear of the train, the headlights were on.

I've had this same issue on another Rivet Route, WCL, were the 37's headlights were wrong.

 

Reported it a long time back, was also on PC. Never heard back.
Out of interest, did you look to see if the driver was in the wrong cab?

 

No I wasn't able to see if there was a driver.

 

Some pretty awful lighting coming out of the tunnel just before GQS. PS5.

 

Yeah, that section is atrocious for lighting

Why does the 4-car cab A not have head out camera option (xbox via left dpad), but cab B and both 3 car cabs do?

I remember a patch about this once, but makes no sense to me...

 

Was it ever reported that rain only shows on the left side windows of the 385 when it's not moving? Especially the drivers window, once you start moving you don't get rain on the window anymore until you stop again. I thought it was a mod causing it but it's not.

 

Had a run on this yesterday evening and for my sins picked the 385. Still sounds as awful as ever, like a flying saucer on pullaway and then just a bit of white noise. I’m guessing this has now moved far beyond any expectation of Rivet doing a revised and better sound set, more abandoned content. Fortunately, we have the 158/380 timetables to play which, while both have their faults in particular the 380 heavy braking, are far better to run the route than the 385.

I mean you have to wonder how the he££ anyone at DTG signed off on the 385 with this sound set in the first place…

 

Prompted by seeing activity on the route again, thought I'd give it another go but using the 380 instead of the awful 385.
Brakes aside, it's definitely nicer to drive. However, 4 miles outside Haymarket in pop the blurry textures again and suddenly I'm driving for what looks like "SootRaN".

Close to being done with this game.

 

I hate how ScR content is suffering from blurry textures, poor sounds, poor physics and no one is doing anything about it. This genuinely looks like ROBLOX at this point.

 

Will drive just about anything and enjoy a good rotation, but Rivets 385 really is the exception. I forget how bad it sounds, play it once a year and once I have realised don't drive it again. It is a real shame for it to just be abandoned as the model is decent. I wonder what ever happened to that recording trip promised years ago?
