On one of the Ashford to Brighton services, i was signalled onto platform 8 where there was already a train so I received a shunt signal, went passed it and it failed the service for 'passing signal at danger' which is weird because I had the shunt signal 1G17
What were you using? Because when I did it on my PS5 I had a green with the shunt signal, which I don't think is accurate.
Does that happen with every train for you? If so, perhaps you’re using the old classic control scheme from the TSW2020 days, and not the current “Immersion” setting? If I remember correctly, the old control scheme uses the left stick for setting the reverser direction, which is coincidentally also used to sound the horn and move the blinds up/down. Many years ago in TSW2, when you still had to temporarily use the classic controls during some tutorials/scenarios in older routes, I remember accidentally changing the reverser direction constantly as well.
What exact service’s on PS5 are missing the track around Eastbourne? Can someone name a few as I’d really like to test them myself.
Just noticed a small ommission..... Polegate station has no platform number signage. It has all the "* Car Mark" signs but no platform signs.
Simple legal term then. Not fit for purpose. The hardest thing about all this is that players endlessly leave comments or contact customer support. Both experience either come with our teams are looking at it. (Filed away). Or no real explanation or even a sign it’s been recognised by the company. This points to poor quality service for its customers. You use the word shoddy, and it is shoddy workmanship with poor customer service. No customer deserves this and no individual person deserves it neither. I personally feel that the company doesn’t care about the customer, just it’s profits, and any respect for an individual person is non existent. Justice comes in many forms. But only one is correct, Right and true justice to the man. And that’s deeply personal when testing a man’s own character. Some back down, some stand up to level of disrespect. But at the end of the day why should any customer or person be faced with such level of service or conduct. Being stoic I believe in doing right. Ie if DTG did everything right then they wouldn’t be faced with any issues. Do it wrong and it will go wrong. It’s always in the company or persons interests to do it right from the word go. Ignore doing the right things means it will only get worse. The problem never goes away it just eats away from the inside out. And it will take a lot of strength and courage to admit that. Personally or publicly. Hence the longer DTG keep making mistakes in any area of its business and to its customer interests will have devastating consequences in the immediate future People and customers will only take so much before opening up on how they truly feel. It’s evident for all to see. A line has to be drawn somewhere. ✌.
Just some feedback from me. Generally been enjoying this route, however, I have found an issue where by trains randomly derail. Its happened twice to me now with the 377/4. Starting away from a station, I go straight to notch 4 and the train randomly derails and falls over quite spectacularly.
This is a core issue, I believe. It was quite common in TSW4, mostly went away in TSW5, but now seems to occur randomly any route, any train in TSW6. Another one to add to the Himalayan height pile of tech debt this game is accruing, while the management laugh and caper around Sodor and Metro Rivals.
Terminus stations such as approach to Brighton and Eastbourne have yellow aspects but the line outlook top right corner shows green signals Door interlock buttons on the 171 don't light up properly
You should never receive a shunt signal with the Clear aspect. I was using the 171 on 1G17 i think it was
I really like the new timetable. A few issues I've noticed: When route hopping from BML at Brighton, you don't get the option to hop into the new timetable. It would be nice if a timetable could be selected so you can switch to the new timetable instead of the default timetable. When approaching the "Go via" waypoint at Southease (when not stopping there) towards Lewes, you get the "approaching Lewes" and "This is a southern service..." train announcements while approaching/passing by Southease. Train announcements should not trigger on "go via" waypoints.
my general riding style is putting it into notch 2 first to get moving (if starting at a steep gradient, you could try 3, but 2 is usually enough), then once I get to about 10 mph, I go into notch 3 and if the weather is dry I shortly go into 4... I use notch 1 to get moving only if the speed limit is like 10 or 15 I know slamming it into full throttle is what some even IRL drivers do, but in general it isnt the best idea
Yeah that's about right, I know some drivers start with hill start notch 2, the second it starts to roll into 3, wait a bit and then into 4. Others go straight to notch 3, if you get caught going straight to 4 you'll be moaned at XD
well, given the history of locos literally burning in my country lol, I tend to not overdo it in the game
Service: 5F75 Journey Mode Signal: 1263 As far as the game is concerned this is showing a proceed aspect, it isn't Is this is a new signal failure feature or is it broken
The wrong lights are showing, On Day running the Non drivers side Headlight is on, which is correct on the exterior just not the interior
