What's Your First Heritage Railway You Been To And What Did You Go On Mine Was Nene Valley Railway Which I Saw Their Class 45 Service And Thomas But That Was A Look But My First Trip Was Same Place Where I Went On A Trip With A1 Tornado
Went to the North Yorkshire Moors at Goathland about three (two?) years ago. Didn't travel on anything though as we were only passing through. Got to do a little trainspotting at least.
The first heritage railway I visited was Keighley & Worth Valley Railway back when I was about 10 or 11. I've visited NYMR several times in the last 10 years.
Trying to remember… It was either the NYMR or the Ffestiniog Railway. Probably the former. In all honesty I’ve never been a huge fan of the heritage railway scene, trundling along at 24.9 MPH is nice but doesn’t really capture the genuine experience particularly with large steam locos or main line diesels. I love the WSR in TSW but rarely drive it for exactly those reasons.
