Route Liberec - Stará Paka Feedback Thread

Does this route not have route mastery. Also we have driverless trains now.

 

Driverless trains is not new, saw it many times on different routes, so most likely a core issue.
How does the route run with all the trees on it?

I passed my first attempt with 843 ... specifically the Squall Line scenario ....... what I'm disappointed about is the announcement of stations in the driver's cabin, the sound is bad, weak, so it's almost impossible to hear, and at times it completely disappeared, it's definitely not the level and quality that could be heard in the preview PC streams of the last few days

The textures weren't blurry, but it was a scenario, I'll see in the standard timetable mode

The 843 doesn't have the second horn option, so I don't understand why the whistle control isn't mapped directly to the controller, like the second horn
The whistle control via the "bell" is unfortunate

 

Whats with two hill indicators what are they for.

 

By any change did you lower the announcement sound setting in the game settings? Try to raise it... Maybe this will help

Was having a go at the 750 introduction and when you are moving and in the cab there is a ticking noise which is very off putting and its not the cracking usual noise on all the other train sim 6 trains. Using headphones makes it worse and when you go out the cab camera the ticking stops.

 

So they updated it. Great news.

That's not a bug, it's a feature. That's the sound of the Hasler speedometer and it is prototypical for it to be prominent and mildly annoying.

 

Can someone in nutshell explain cruise control i cant find any info. On the 843

I tried to lower the Cab announcement to 0% in the sound settings and the announcement was heard in the cabin in the same way, that means that the Cab announcement is not implemented and it is just a penetrating on-board announcement from the passenger compartment, because I can't explain it otherwise ........ in general I don't understand this feature in TSW at all, that even if you lower the volume setting to zero, with the next launch of TSW it activates again at full speed, at least I don't know of a fix in this sense

Driving in the snow, that's a challenge

 

I haven't tested the 750 yet, but if I remember from the real machine, the ticking was done by the speedometer or some kind of switch, but I could be wrong

 

As jesper2805 and I explained a few posts above, you're right. The noise is coming from the Hasler Tachograph. Check out Jesper's post for a cool insight video on what exactly produces that noise in the instrument.

 

Except when it's intentional, like the LIRR ghost train for halloween.

I am now imagining that instead of bugs, it's all just DTG getting practice for TSW releasing a DLR route, to live out your fantasies of being Keir Starmer...

 

Have to say, loving the sounds on this route. The 750 and 843 sound great.

The 750 is giving the 218 a serious run for its money as the best diesel loco in this game.

I've experienced no problems with this route after a couple of hours of playing, not even blurry textures! Well done to everyone at Vector Sim!

 

Can you change the settings to make the 843 a bit more simpler to drive like not having to change the radio . Also on the 843 what brakes do use for stopping .

Scenario Bit of shunting - Part 1 .... one of the last steps, brake test, step release the brakes and wait 2 min ... I've been waiting 30 mi and nothing... so probably again

anyway after completing this scenario I say that this is more of a DLC with the attribute Expert

 

I read the manual and didn't find anything about this. It seems to only be in 843.

 

I've had only had time for one quick run in the 750, but man... what a treat this route looks to be looking so far.
It trully captures the feel of a rural, hilly, Czech (and Slovak) rail. The rail, the signage (even road one), the towns, the stations, the platforms.

It is obvious that a ton of effort went into this, to get even the last bit of detail right.
Amazing job, I will definitely get my money worth from this one.

Edit: I love 'Naftina' petrol station :-D

 

What am I doing wrong in yhe 843 set up ok I using cruise control ok once and the 1st station i cant pull away . I can hear it reving but the brake pressure is jumping all over the place and its no generating amps to move.

Please, please, please, map Whistle to second horn position or anywhere else, like to PZB override buttom on dpad, or maybe even instead of horn to L3! As IRL the whistle is much more used than horn, it’s such a pity that you forgot to PS5 players and map it into dualsense controller layout.

thanks and hopefuly this will get fixed in update soon, I need to use whistle (without turning camera down and aiming to whistle button) when finally playing a local route. Please. Please.

About the sixth attempt to complete the Bit of Shunting part 1 scenario ....... now I can't even get to the brake test, my wagon brakes always get stuck in the same place and the 750 can't move with them, the wheels just slip....that doesn't seem normal to me .......something is wrong somewhere....but to connect the wagons three times, pull them out, etc. and then it gets stuck more than once with the same procedures doesn't seem like my own fault.......unreal frustration

EDIT: Somehow I finally managed to make it to the end, but after generating a brake report, the scenario didn't end....... the same error can be seen on YT in one of the videos for this map....so this simply doesn't work

 

Lovely route but the trains are quite challenging to drive im struggling maybe should have made an idiot prof version.

Loving the detail and sound on the trains... but dear lord is this a performance hog.

 

Performance is very poor on steam, most routes around 60fps. But this route has drops to 20-30fps. Only in certain areas, I think some of foliage is causing some lag.

Update: I had some experimental No texture Streaming code in the start setting in steam. Removed it, gameplay feels a lot smoother despite the somewhat lower average framerate.

But the quality is outstanding! You can even check the engine oil of the Class 750!

 

PC, Steam. No performance issues so far, starting from Liberec.

Impressive route, feels very familiar as I myself am from the eastern Europe. Seeing some insane details never seen before in TSW, and finally a walkable engine room! Huge work.

I've only checked the CD750 so far. Only minor bug(?) found, in the timetable run I tried double traction locomotives were set to single traction. It felt surprisingly slow at first until I noticed the switch. Also, might be realistic knowing the soviet interiors, but generally the interior and instrument lights are barely visible at daytime.

Now the real question, is the vigilance system actually that annoying in CD750? I'm having to press the button every 4-5 seconds, that number of vigilance checks itself seems quite distracting hahaha. At least using the controls resets the counter, but maybe I'm doing something wrong?

 

My first scenario 3 (driving with 843) does not stop. After the button to turn off engine 1 was pressed - engine 1 went off - it does not continue. It still says to turn off engine 1.

Please make more Czech stuff, devs. I promise i will buy all of it! Especially a cross-border route with Germany or Austria would be amazing to layer in existing content!

Custom assets, great sounds, lots of wonderful little details. Instantly in my top 10 routes.

 

Is this railway line coded to LVZ?

 

Every run has crashed so far on the PC from Stara Parka to Liberec within twenty minutes. It goes to a black loading screen and does not resolve itself. The service in question was R 1270 12:25 (CD 843 N1 LED). The second time on the aforementioned service it crashed much sooner. I don't think it is a PC issue as it is powerful having an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. I hope a patch can soon fix these random crashes as it is unplayable. I might have to request a refund which is a shame as it is one of the greatest routes.

 

First of all, I love this route, this feels like a rollercoaster ride...
I found it difficult to use the in cab speed controls buttons (843), but found a better way. You can use the same buttons like for the German AFB to increase or decrease the selected speed by 5 km/h, that's much easier especially if you use a streamdeck.

Unfortunately on my 2nd ride with the 843 I had a CTD!

When entering a station and braking, the brakes suddenly failed, I got a message on the MFD, so I pulled the emergency brake which resulted in the CTD:

Very good work.

Had a wonderful scenic ride in the dark with the 750. Felt like my own good 'ol times.
Those light scenes when some bigger cities pass by are wonderful.

On all 750 (player and AI) the indicator light is on
45. Charging failure indicator

And I haven't found a reason why it's like that or anything to switch it off... it's especially noticeable at night or in tunnels.

 

I have run into the same issue with the braking report instruction being bugged causing a softlock

 

It is not, as the devs said, so you only get the vigilance functionality.
Maybe a future route will have it, if they were to develop a follow-up.

It’s a lot of fun and so far I’ve only driven the 750.
one qustion, this indicator is constantly on fpr me in both cabs. The manual calls it charging failure indicator, but how can I turn it off?

 

Did you have mods installed? Yes? Remove them and check again. When it works check one by one for a out dated mod.
