This scene is almost complete, but why is the final report generated hundreds of meters underground instead of inside the locomotive's cab?
I’m having the same problem. Can’t find any instructions to generate braking report. Very frustrating, has anyone managed to get past this problem?
you can generate it by clicking on the desk left of all the controls but it still will not finish the task
Jeez. I guess not playing through scenarios isn't just confined to Dovetail themselves. They don't even beta test, as any tester would play this and instantly report it. £33 to be a beta tester...
Even for highly skilled players, this scenario would take at least 45 minutes - 1 hour. I doubt any testers have ever completed it.
I don't even blame beta testers as we're them. This is on the internal QA. I understand rare, hard to replicate bugs get through, but these kind of bugs are unacceptable. Because it's not DTG, I believe this will get fixed, but wasting almost an hour is annoying.
Agree. This bug is too obvious; it seems to be an object binding issue. In this scenario, when I use Ctrl + - or Ctrl + = to switch seats, I get teleported underground. If I press E to stand up, then it returns me back to the cab. I'm not sure if this is caused by the same problem. I know this is a third-party route by Vector Simulations, but I'm not sure whether the timetables and scenarios were designed and developed by DTG.
I noticed DTG recently pushed some changes for this scenario. I haven't managed to finish it yet because I've found they added multiple cab swaps throughout the run. My main issue is that while you're forced to switch ends, there aren't any actual objectives for things like cutting out the brakes or removing the reverser. It feels a bit clunky and the frequent switching is starting to ruin the immersion for me. I really hope this was their way of finally squashing that last bug. I'd hate to waste another hour of my time if it's still broken. Update: It's the same. This version hasn't fixed this bug. Please do not waste your another hour for this scenario.
I can't complete this scenario either. Thanks Thorgred for the tip with the braking report. The distance now is both 392 m below and -107347418 m away. It's a very nice scenario other than this bug. I hope this issue will be fixed.
Yeah I just tried the same scenario and can confirm it is bugged Wonder if anyone cares to comment on when a fix is forthcoming OR if it will just be added to the list of forgotten stuff?
I've also been having an issue with this scenario on the Microsoft store release where I can't turn the engine on, no matter how long I hold the button.
Starting the engine should work ok. The reverser should be in the engine only position. Otherwise the engine will not start. The engine start button needs to be held for up to a minute depending on the coolant temperature. The engine is supplied with oil pressure from an auxillary pump so the engine is not started without any lubricantion.
I just wanted to follow up this. More than a month has passed, and I'm wondering if any fixes will be released.
