That won't be the case.....but I realized that Desiro probably doesn't support this system...now I'm running the scenario with 843 and it worked there...... Overall, I think that the Desiro on the trains Prague - Tanvald is bad........ I think at that time the 854 motorcars were running.....843 would have acted more naturally there overall.......
It is obvious that too much of love and care went into this add on! so satisfying and engaging experience! nearly every button is interactive and also the engineroom with the animated engine - generator is marvelous! Also ,the temperature simulation is 100% spot on . they even simulated the change in engine oil viscocity with temperature (as evident by the change in oil pressure at the same rpm on a warm vs cold ergine) ! amazing! Well done Vector simulations! All i can say , is we want more of this please!
Haven't been using the radio per se. I presume Tabbing up the despatcher/signaller to get the "Proceed as signals indicate" effectively serves the same purpose? And yes, I must get round to reading the manual!
Still crashing every time playing the route. It runs at 62 fps so the computer is not struggling. It just suddenly crashes. I have disabled the mod I had. I have got some of the message this time if that helps. The computer did not allow me to scroll down as it was frozen. Unreal Engine crash says... There is something wrong with this route, this evening I quit driving after I hit 10-20FPS and it become unplayable. The Shunting service are really fun, but some areas a just eating Fps. I also did a run on Frankfurt S-bahn, even in Frankfurt main Hfb I hit 40-50 Fps, so there is nothing wrong with my setup. Update: Just checked, the Shadows on some spots, probalili foliage, is causing Fps drops. Sychrov is a hard place on the route, if it's about performance. This feels a little bit like the time that the Sherman Hill DLC was released, this route was in the beginning also unplayable. But later fixed after some updates.
Sorry if this has been posted already. But just from a technical and simulation standpoint, the train operation aspect has been amazingly recreated. Love it or hate it, the LS90 does go off quite alot.
The route is amazing. I only found one speed sign mistake. In front of Sedlejovice (driving southbound) there is 85/75 speed sign, but it should be 85/80. It is not a big deal, but there is "8" distant speed sign in front of this.
I've started exploring the route! It's fascinating, and I'm going to spend a lot of time on it! The 750 diesel locomotive is charming. The scenery is captivating. My favorite routes for a relaxing break were the Somerset and Niddertalbahn, but now they have competition. I want to thank the development team for their creation. I eagerly await new releases, and I hope the team will give us the Prague section and the Dresden-Děčín route.
The FPS performance on XBox Series S is mediocre. Otherwise an exciting and somewaht demanding route.
PC wise I have been managing about 20 FPS at 4K on my old potato PC. Not great but my GTX 1650 soldiers on. Could probably get 30 FPS dropping to 1440p but that 20 is smooth and I would rather not sacrifice image quality. Also have to bear in mind if you’re on PC, there was a large Windows Update this week which has now finished but was grabbing system resources left right and centre. At the same time I updated my Nvidia drivers so at this point the route is probably still compiling or recompiling shaders.
PS5 Pro At 23:26 I met an oncoming Rychlik R1260 in Sychrov, controlled by AI, composed of 843+043+043+043+843. The last car 843 had the single-piece boarding door on the right side in the direction of travel open and did have the taillights turned off.
That's interesting, for me it's all about getting towards that 60fps for smoothness which I generally get with this route, running an old i7 with a 1080 card. I am running at 1920x1080 though which is personally OK for me (with most settings at ultra apart from shadows and weather) - anything above that and it's a slide show unfortuantely, for all routes. Will need to save up for a beast machine to get that magical smooth 4K.
I have a NTB with RTX 5060 8GB and 32 GB ram. I can run this much better when using -dx12 parameter. Without it I cant use higher than LOW setting for the shadows. With -dx12 is everything fine.
Feedback: Not sure if condition dependent, but many AI trains are not using the top headlight. This is mandatory for all trains except shunting.
They explained this in the preview stream as being realistic. You can also notice this in irl footage.
Platform: PC/Steam All in all, a really great DLC with awesome sounds and stunning views. Thanks a lot to Vector Simulations. Two small observations: Os Services (checked with 5403 and 5405): On the smaller platforms in the timetable it's the same time for arrival and departure, not even 30seconds hold. I don't know if it's intended or not, but it makes it quite hard/impossible to stick to schedule (at least for me) Many trains - AI and also playable services - seem to be driving with the back driving up front, noticeable if using the outside view (key number 2) or checking the map (key 9), resulting in driverless cab cars, because the AI people are sitting in the cab on the back of the train. Again, I don't know if it is intended or not.
This can't be true! If you want to check yourself, see official "law" here (using translator): https://provoz.spravazeleznic.cz/portal/Show.aspx?oid=2271537. Article 167, page 248. Three lights for train, two for shunting.
I noticed DTG recently pushed some changes for this scenario. I haven't managed to finish it yet because I've found they added cab swaps at the beginning. My main issue is that while you're forced to switch ends, there aren't any actual objectives for things like cutting out the brakes or removing the reverser. I really hope this was their way of finally squashing that last bug. I'd hate to waste another hour of my time if it's still broken. Update: It's the same. This version hasn't fixed this bug. Please do not waste your another hour for this scenario. View attachment 211155
Could it be the exception in 4) a) 2. ? Where the upper light doesn't have to be lit, if it would blind the trains in opposing direction, or passengers o platforms, or cars on surrounding roads? I remember something like that from the stream, where the kind of top light you have determines if the top light should or shouldn't be lit. Still, AI might no follow this at all, and even those that should have it lit have not.
I have a question: Are there supposed to be failures as a TSW 6 feature on the route? Until now, there has been no failure for me on all my runs, even though I have them activated. Also: There seem to be no collectables on the route. Platform Steam/PC Thanks for some feedback about the failures.
Okay, first major problem. Loading into a saved game with the 843 the railcar has lost power. Drifts to a stand and then will not take power, the gauge only moves a very short distance to the right but no power is being applied. Have tried cycling reverser on and off, external view confirms the diesel power pack is running. What now? Going to try a physics reset then check the manual but otherwise, stumped.
I was kinda hoping the manual would explain the safety systems more in-depth for future reference, kinda like LGV manual explained KVB, even though the actual route didnt implement it in full also, while both the manual and the preview mentioned signal frequencies (50 and 75 Hz), do you actually change them anywhere here?
I do. Still I think that it does not fit the law. Never mind, let's stop slight OT. Feedback given, let them decide. I think that the only feature is, that you see some interferences (random lights) when using 50 Hz. Not sure if something else in the scenarios.
Well, in the menu, you normally see the collactables indicated on the map-tile. I don't see any. :-/ And there are supposed to be train faults. I don't have them either, as it seems. Anybody else with these problems?
The shine is starting to come off a bit. At Turnov on a passenger run, numerous passengers on the platform crossing who I had to run over in order to depart. This really needs to be sorted ASAP. Not acceptable. Still needed to do a physics reset to get going after loading a save game. Needs a better method of managing the radio. the channel change signs are tiny - blink and you miss them. Needs to automatically change channel as SimRail has as an option. Using the PBC on the 843 after a stop does not release the pneumatic train brake, needs to be released with the [ key.
This helped me to get moving after a load... Let everything boot up, reverser forward, power level in 'V', and pressing the 'Start Button' Most likely the save resets the engine to 'isolated' state. Hope they fix that, because it is annoying. There is map with regions in manual. So I keep that opened to quick reference. It does, at least for me. But the 843 has a automatic holding brake, and will be released only after power is applied (once again, it is in the manual).
Out of all vehicles in this addon, only the LED variant of 843 is equipped with three signal lights, all other have two lights and a reflector, which is not used for this purpose.
if you mean the direct brake lever (assuming you already released other things by going into J position), then the same as when you want to go from BE to BP - aka hold direct brake release, and as it gets to quick release, tap the button quickly and it gets into one more notch and releases all ... or you can just move the lever with mouse
Thanks for those tips, I’ll give them a try later. The 843 is otherwise very nice to drive and as others have said, both it and the 750 have given us almost study level trains to drive but without the “Pro” price tag attached.
Is anyone else having a problem on xbox. When I return via quick resume, the 843 has no power and I have to turn the engine on again. I also cant turn LS90 back on. When I put it to start, I get no beep, and if I still go to on it outs the e brakes on. I've followed to a T how to turn it back on via watching "train sim driver" on youtube. And I also get the red flashing light buzzer everytime I brakes after returning via quick resume. It only happens if I return with quick resume, if I play straight through I have no issues.
Sounds similar to what I have encountered loading a save game on PC, see the subsequent responses above. If all else fails do the physics reset from the pause menu.
I had to remember to switch the brake key back on! Otherwise it was straightforward, Master Key, reverser into forward, check manual brake released and power up.
Such an amazing route! As a Hungarian, while this route is not exactly my home country, it still fits as the "most close to home" for now. It's great to see something middle-European in TSW finally! The 750 fits the vibe perfectly and so does the scenery as a whole. The Eas cars loaded with wood feel especially home to me, as I live alongside a rail line where such consists are seen regularly. Things like these old station warehouse buildings, the wooden hunting towers or the ballast at stations going up to the rail head - all are so authentic. It's heartwarming to see how well this region is represented. Very happy to see this route, huge thanks for the team for making this. Great job!
hopefully we also see 750s used in passenger consists sometime later... I am pretty positive they do haul some slower diesel services in Czech Republic and Slovakia
The sounds are also amazingly done. Not only the rolling stock sounds, but the way metal bridges actually have distinct rumbling to them (as far as I know, this is a first for TSW) and the support pillars at the tunnel entries making those "whoosh-whoosh-whoosh" sounds as you drive past them - amazing! Now one of the downsides, as mentioned by others, is definitely the performance. It's not unplayable, but definitely one of the most performance heavy routes out there. Worse than Niddertalbahn. While I can get most routes to run on a nice 40-60 fps, this one is struggling to keep 30. On better parts it's a steady 30-40, but looking back at my train or certain areas will make it dip in 20s territory. As suggested by others, it's probably the shadows being cast by foliage. I'll do a summer time run when trees are leafier, see if that helps. I remember it being the case in Niddertalbahn as well. Now scenery wise, while it's amazing for most of the route, there are some unfinished areas. Like this here is barely 50 meters away from the mainline, easily seen from the cab. And I suppose there is no game play here for now, but if finished properly, it may open up some game play possibilities. Either way, this was a bit sad to see. Also the yard areas feel really bare at bigger stations. I wish there was some more detail between the tracks and better blending between track-ballast and terrain-ballast. As it is, these feel like looking at an unfinished model railroad. But everything else is super so far. Really happy with the route. I am hoping it may get some patchwork done in the future to improve on the lacking areas. But what we currently have as-is is already amazing and I feel completely worth the full price. Once again thank you for the team and looking forward to seeing their next Czech route!
Part 1 of the freight shunting scenario needs a patch. There is no way to complete generating a brake report after completing the brake test because the objective marker is 330metres below the train. Platform PS5
One thing I did notice last night playing is that some of the trees have a distinctive Speedtree appearance to them. Very white branches and very contorted looking.
Today I managed to derail the train spectaculously twice, like with it flying in the air and such. The first one was definitely my fault by going 10 km/h into a set of wagons in the siding. The second one is more interesting, it was the last step when needing to couple to the entire consist. Was approaching with the loco well below 5 km/h, and when it touched the caboose all went boom. This might be a bit exagerated though, could be due to the bumpy tracks feature at the same station maybe? Retried from checkpoint and just creeped close and that time it behaved. I know its not prototypical to run into stopped wagons, however it seemed to be a rule of TSW that anything under 5 km/h is fine. Service Mn 62402 - Part 7 Shunting
PS5 Pro Pn54108 I first drove it as part of Journey, which was in January, snow and almost clear .... beautiful effects of the sun, but also effects of the performance, already a little after Stará Paka, I think it was the Libstat stop and it started to go to 20fps and by the time we reached an amazing 15fps, when it was more of a slideshow ....... I set the same date in Timetable mode as in Journey and simulated similar weather (static), so almost clear, snow, etc., and it was practically the same in terms of performance Then I tried Timetable mode, static weather, and in October, half cloudy, it was a few fps better, the same sections had at least about 23 fps Another attempt in October, cloudy, 30% fog level and we were already running around 50fps ...... But what surprised me was that I drove this section from Paka towards Turnov several times with 843 and it was clear, even within the scenario and the journey and problems of this type, when it would be so low fps values I did not notice and I really would not have reviewed the slideshow Previous rides in 750 were in this area only at night, or in rain and fog, so logically there was no problem In any case, the shadows of vegetation etc. take their toll .......... and the question is whether something can be done about it?
Let me just also make a quick note to appreciate the night lighting on this route. Simply brilliant. Just look at the town lit up in the valley. How lovely it looks. Certain routes up in the mountains will also be lit, visible from the distance, alongside various towers on mountain tops. Also the way the gauges dimly illuminate the cab, even the vigilance light. Upcoming signals will also reflect off the dash. And the best part, headlights that actually illuminate the tracks! Why can't German and US routes do this?
The level of simulation this route offers is outstanding and I think sets the new bar for how a route should be made. Aside from a few bugs that need to be ironed out, this is a very nice route to drive. I think this is one of the best TSW routes in years.
I am kinda hoping we get 750 in a passenger consist someday... not that it is my fav loco, not really, but from Slovakia I have it associated more with passenger traffic on non-electrified routes, occasionally seeing it in ZSSK Cargo livery and hauling freight
FTFY! It really grows on you and as Dinosbacsi alludes to above, the fantastic night lighting takes it to an all new level, as does the addition of clatter going over some structures. Yes there are a few issues but my biggest grievance is that I just want more!
It needs to be a CD 754 for a passenger services. I am still dreaming about Klatovy - Železná Ruda route. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...183-part-klatovy-Železná-ruda-alžbětín.65111/
