This is the thing that confuses me the most, they have worked with AP in the past for sounds, if they can't get the time or access to the stock why don't they ask AP to help, by either using there pre-existing recordings for TSC, or paying AP to go get new recordings, 1st thing i learned about running a business is delegation, you simply can't do everything yourself no matter how hard you try, and if you do other parts start to suffer from lack of attention.

Because that costs money and decreases margins when people will buy stuff with cheap and garbage soundsets anyway.

Rivet Games’ Southern 171 and 377/3 pack it’s even harder still.

This will not be a long winded rant, I am just simply looking for answers on why both Rivet and DTG think it’s acceptable to release any addon that is so poorly finished and appears to have had so little care.

For starters, you have the 171, a train that has effectively been sold to us for a fourth time that still has issues from the very first iteration, AI marker lights that are missing, ear splitting sound bugs, parts of the cab lighting up with the headlights, light leaks, and not only that, but you have brand new bugs to enjoy such as 5 fps when looking at exhaust smoke, gangways being different lengths and so on.

Then there’s the 377/3, which not only uses the outdated and worse version of the existing 377, but also still features all of the original bugs too! Coupled together with light bleeding through the model onto the right side marker and headlights, seat collisions still there from the original version, tool tips that are still interactable and making noise despite being removed from the model, a suspension setup that occasional launches the train into space, brake pad models that spin with the wheels, gangways that aren’t animated, an out of date PIS system that not only looks terrible, but displays nothing but the final destination, constant sound issues, and more crucially, missing core features such as guard mode and third rail sparks.

The sheer lack of care and quality that we are expected to pay for is frankly shocking, and I refer back to my main question - Why on earth does DTG and Rivet think this abhorrent level of quality and care is even remotely acceptable to try and sell to us? More-so onto to DTG who have been very happy to push content like this out to us from both themselves and multiple parties.

I don’t want platitudes, I don’t want reductive remarks, I don’t want to hear the team are once more allegedly working on fixes to never arrive; I want answers, culpability, solutions and changes. This franchise which we all hold dear has been on a consistent path to becoming Slop Sim World and you have a responsibility to at least uphold a minimum level of quality and finish that should be deemed acceptable, and whatever it is, it should not be this.

    Thank you.[/QUOTE]
If anyones been following this for some time then it is time to draw the line.

Simple as. I can’t speak for everyone here but where is the standard. A standard that customers come to expect, the stand or level a person sets, boundaries or line where they are no longer willing to be treated so wrongly. Not ego, respect and allowing justice to the man not the system. Then a standard the company wants to provide its customers. It needs too for its own sake.
If that level of customer satisfaction isn’t there from the off then what does that say about a company conducting business in such a manner.
Quite prepared to allow products to reach market in an unsatisfactory state, only for customers to leave feedback with no real response to the customer question or concerns.

So yes there has to be line. A line where respect is crossed by how DTG evade feedback or any situation of real concern to the individual.
This will only leave customers feeling ignored and uncared for by DTG. Add Ai response to the mix with any feedback or criticism gets lost in the system.

Chasing for answers or time frame when a fix is certain to come. If no one’s gets answers then what options are left?.
Not being rude but what’s your trying to address has been on many members mouths. I’ve said myself some might stand and go against the narrative where others seek comfort in the group mentality. You could try explaining from clarity or emotional reaction and if I was to give you any advice then there is a risk of losing energy.

If I was to be honest (Personally experience) I’ve given DTG and its staff members more than one chance, they took the p#ss.

And they don’t listen to its customers anymore. So why chase a company that gives its customers the run around.

It’s not right and if something ain’t right fix it.
Clearly the chances DTG had to do something have passed.
    Ignorance comes with consequences.

Their own making with its once loyal customer base that are no longer there to protect DTG or be able to cover up the mistakes publicly.

Sad, but no time for sympathy.
I support your cause, but use the Fox before releasing the Lion.
We can all talk all day long with this situation and from many angles and perspectives, but one thing remains noise but no movement.

It’s fine drawing a line, but with no eraser to rub the cycle out then you haven’t got all the tools to draw a new one.

Due to the subject matters you are welcome to DM.

    ✌.

Never explain to those that ain’t on your level.

They will only bring you down to theirs.

The difference between speaking out is courage to go against the masses looking up.
What they fail to see is the kingdom has already fallen, because the seeds have grown to move the foundations.

When you speak openly you move the foundation and this scares the masses.
Friction isn’t comforting it’s the courage to throw yourself into the fire.

Only the strong do this, the free, not the weak.

    ✌.

I appreciate the sentiment there mate, but philosophical debate is a bit beyond the purview of this forum, we all know there are problems, we all don't like the situation, and if we could do anything about it, we would re-hashing the same arguments time and time again in different threads just breeds discontent instead of constructive discourse, you made several good points but nothing we all haven't said numerous times before over to many threads to list, at the end of the day DTG will do what they want, until they start loosing more money than there making very little will change, and as consumers it's a double-edged sword do we punish them by not buying, that carries big risks for both parties, would it force DTG to pay more attention to quality or would they just pursue other revenue streams, none of us have come up with a workable solution to this problem.

Its simple. If I like the look of something I buy it, if I don't, I don't.

I don't have to have a internal debate as to how it might affect DTG's bottom line, or whether somehow I'm sullying myself.

Some people seem to not be in control of their spending habits, clearly.

If it's working for DTG then they will carry on as they are.

Personally whilst there are reasons to be disgruntled, in my opinion and I know I'm not alone TSW is in the best place it's ever been. It runs smoothly (I am on PC), new features like suspension make it immersive, it looks good, we are getting more variety and more third parties and generally content is improving.

I don't know who "all" is? You can do something about the "situation" (whatever that is), don't buy DLC if you feel it isn't good enough. Simple, end of.

I play on PS5 and I can tell you: apart from the notorious 'blurry' routes the game runs fine. Recent remasters are performing really well.

Justice comes in many forms. That’s a workable system, the solution.

A solution can either be met with compromise or opposition.

Basically there is more than one way to skin a cat.
A line has been drawn, if members have done this already then remarks will fade, yet I’ve been saying the same for some time now public.
Trying to find solutions with DTG and like anything when things get left behind by those with the responsibility to deal with its customers before it even reaches this level is why discontent exists, including the same old story.

All this only exists because DTG has failed in its duties leaving a long line of old and new players with many stories of the same nature.
This is out of your control even mine. Manipulation or manufacturing a narrative isn’t needed because now the public see the truth for themselves becomes a correct narrative of discontent amongst users and customers of the forum/ support systems and products.

Therefore if you read between the lines I’ve written lately then you’ll find I’ve been banging on about how DTG treats people for some time and a solution has to be found. Publicly I thrown myself into the crowd when speaking up about product quality and customer service.
Even how could we help DTG because I will agree moaning while endlessly leaking emotional energy via those outbursts of pure frustration may not seem the most effective way yet people will feel like this because again it exists because DTG allowed customers to get this way.

You might have seen a few threads I set up to escape the endless cycle of criticism or un constructive comments to publicly address the wider issues effecting customer and the DTL/TSW community. To get to the root of the problem so all can see, including DTG.
For all to understand the whys and find a way forward. Answers to the wider issues before it becomes a bigger problem.
I even warned DTG to get on top of the narrative or deal with its internal struggles before it gets out of hand.
Past the point of control. DTG Alex even publicly recognised what’s was going on even hinted toward in house struggles that can arise from working with many 3rd parties. The politics of it all.

Moving on to the now tho, publicly customers have had enough. It’s been a long time coming.
Patience has run out for so many old loyal fans and the new customers coming with the same issues and stories filling the gaps left by those that had enough of being treated so poorly.
So I agree with your statement when it comes to reaching no conclusions be for the individual or the wider community. What we’re here for to support each other. To do what’s rights to the individual and if so supporting the community to look at other alternatives if DTG fail to act in any way to protect its own reputation and its customer base.

It’s about doing the right things, because if not this is what can happen. (Years of the same old story).
And why does it exist because DTG created it. This is their reputation, me I’m just a customer that wants fair treatment.

We all do, but if a solution can’t be found then again that is completely down to the individual to seek other alternatives in order to find a resolution yourself seems to want to establish. Ie the meaning behind my statements is that why waste energy here saying the same old story. I see so many leaking energy towards a force that will no longer acknowledge the reality of the situation unfolding.

DTG haven’t listened for a long time, so why continue to waste energy repeating the painful experiences dealing with any company that treats people it’s customers in such fashion.

It’s about doing what’s right, for the benefit of the wider system that governs the business or gaming industry.
And when anyone reaches a point personally or publicly of is this how I’m prepared to be treated and stand up for their own rights.
Respect for once self at the end of the day. NOT ego.

When egos are on show then truth of facts will get lost in pointless debates to boost the egotistical minds.
That’s why solutions are never found and as yourself says still haven’t seen one.

You/we the community will never see one if the company simply doesn’t have its customers interest at the core of their business model.
And yes being sympathetic to those that work hard at DTG isn’t so much my concern. I’m the customer not the boss.
If those teams feel let down then that responsibility falls on those running the show. Again that’s not me, or the community.
I think that’s important to point out. Hard yes, but this is the reality of it all.

DTG, it always revolves around DTG changing the situation. If not then nothing can be resolved here.
That’s clear to see. The writing is on the wall.

Being open with you here too, being the person I am I have tried so many paths to speak with DTG. Be just general customer issues or working with DTG to resolve issues or assist in regaining the narrative. Second to this my overall interest is livery designer and so felt it would add more joy to my experience and possibly that of others running ideas or community projects working alongside DTG as a fan trying to enjoy their time here and on LD.

I’m no longer doing that now. No posting work, no projects, no customer service, or community engagement in a positive light I expect with no hindrance of what DTG causes. Let me point out that’s over 5 years of work. Not to mention the monetary value.
And I will tell you or anyone that I have the right to stand up and say something without apology if any product or issues affect my customer experience. This also applies to anyone that needs support if for the benefit of all not just one. Being a community member.

However on issues still remains, energy. And at the end of the day this is just a game.
Is it all worth the time and mental energy, even spending money on something that might work today but not tomorrow.

Not really no. It’s pointless and the definition of madness is doing the same thing expecting a different outcome.
The community has been doing the same and saying the same for years, so has DTG without nothing changing resulting in the whole situation verging on pure madness. Would it be fair assumption to say both sides are guilty of repeating and ignoring.
This doesn’t at rule out any future discussion taking place be with you or any member that will speak without the public display or the mask.

Talk and discuss like men, not to seek attention or validation from the audience.

To do what’s right for the people because allowing the wrong means we create an environment of wrong doings.
Standing isn’t a sign or act of war/disagreement, it’s a sign of sovereignty to rule over a kingdom of how it’s meant to be.

No living being should be treated wrongly. It will only leave an unbalanced ugly environment.
We can’t control what DTG do, yet we can control and change what’s in our control.

Our own thoughts and actions. To be a force of good, and that’s what matters most here.
To discuss without the need to play the fool in front of the masses.

    ✌.

Jeeezus, can we get this thread shut down?
Its one of the most toxic threads I've seen in years, utterly disproportionate to any possible critique of the devs,

What worries me, as much as there are a number of failings that have caused me problems and annoyances, a large proportion of the issues often raised, well, if I'm being honest I wasn't even aware were problems, the wrong sounds, or looked slightly off until I read many posts on this forum.

I get that a few things can be incredibly annoying and immersion breaking, but if you're sitting at home playing on a PC/Console in a gaming chair, I've not found it all that immersive if I'm controlling a train with a console controller. Hopefully with the days getting longer and there being more sunlight in each day, things will get better for some.

I agree in more ways than one.

I walked away because it’s a game. I will not walk away after being disrespected.

Would you?. So again my line has been crossed, with that come consequences if I choose.
And looking at how many other members of the community that too feel frustrated at the situation or how they have been treated is why we’re all here.

Here to support each other when this game becomes more than that if the game comes with issues.
Issues that affect players. You, me and again others leaving comments.

How each individual perceives the situation is down to the individual. And each individual has their own opinions.
I see many opinions yet chose not to respond, not react.
You can listen to the opinions and discuss or support, or simply walk away. Those that don’t walk are the ones that feel uncomfortable by others opinions.

Fear, the masses don’t like fear they like comfort in conformity.
And the truth of the matter is a system of stupidity fears intelligence and so will do anything to remove it for comfort.

By the way if you have never spoken to me before then remember this.
I never lie. Why because lying to someone is treating them like a fool. Self respect!.

We’ve all been lied to by DTG in some way. That’s something for us all to think about. And what each individual chooses to do is down to them if they are willing to swayed by other’s opinions or stand fast depends on the outcome of getting somewhere over nowhere.

The difference between discussion over pointless attacks by working for the same cause is what brings victory over failure.
Answers not arguments, or the cycle repeats year on year out. Again getting back to the point is that many discussions are taking place about TSW6 along with constant poor DLC releases that more often than not recycle units. Take the Class 66 as an example. Not to mention stability/crash issues with the core product or updates that impact old DLC or core game. Then ask yourself how many years have DTG had to get things right, yet we’re still here repeating the same old nonsense. DTG isn’t listening so move on. Walk away. Or…

Surely it’s time for a change?. Because regardless of any opinions one truth remains for all.
This cannot go on like this. We’re customers of a game.

One that’s full of issues and no one’s going to deny that or why all be here?.

We can do something together as a supportive community or fight against each other.

Because you could say we the customers or the individual are banging our heads against a wall. Again it’s been years now with no real evidence of mass change or improvement in product stability or standards, or customer satisfaction.

Basically it’s like a dog barking all day, no one’s gonna listen. But if you want to be the Lion then go ahead.
It’s just a game like you say;)

    One Big Cosmic Joke.

    ✌.

It seems people complain when they don't get enough information about something, and then complain about when they are given information about something, which then changes, which in a few cases would not constitute as lying, given that things happen etc.

I feel as bad as some of the problems are, and while people are rightfully annoyed, DTG could deliver everything people wanted and more, and it still wouldn't be good enough for some.

Holy crow, its only a video game no need to take what DTG does so personally.

What the heck all of sudden people think they are William Wallace or Che Guevera with calls of revolution.

    Calm down big fella.

Why not start a petition, that always seems to go well.

Best thing you can do if you are that fed up, is stop playing, uninstall and take your money elsewhere.

Sorry, but ranting and raving on a forum will not get you anywhere.

And I am not trying to be harsh to you, I was a ranter and raver myself, who realised it was a waste of time and so I took my own advice and just packed the game in!!

But you have to accept that there are people who genuinely think the game is in a great place and DTG can do no wrong, and whatever we may thing about their motives and soundness of mind, that is their prerogative and no amount of preaching is going to convert them.

If you decide to continue, then best to accept that this is it and things are not going to change, probably ever. Obviously it does feel great to vent sometimes, but equally, it is a total waste of your time and energy I am afraid!

Having thought it over calmly, I have to admit you’re right and agree that it’s all rather pointless.
DtG has its own business model and its own fan base, and nothing will change that.

Since I was able to uninstall Windows without it ruining my life, I certainly don’t have to play TSW either. Besides, this isn’t my first long break from TSW; eventually, I simply won’t come back. As far as I know, Microsoft is doing just fine, and DtG certainly won’t go bankrupt without my money.

The upcoming Medway Valley Line DLC from Firefly Simulations is so exceptional and looks so promising that it has tempted me to return to TSW once more. I think it’s worth taking this one last risk before I finally pull the plug on TSW. And I think this will be the last thing I buy for TSW, unless Firefly Simulations decides to develop this route further in some way. My toys are long-lasting. If I haven’t got bored of playing the OMSI simulator in 15 years, then the Medway Valley Line DLC might also keep me entertained for many years to come.

Also, DtG’s monopoly on train simulation has ended, and there are now other advanced train simulators available.

I’d agree here to some extent which again is down to the individuals own perspective of the situation.

So what is the situation?. From my own personal perspective the situation between customers expectations (Level of service).
Then customers facing issue with the core game or DLC content including updated routes all directly impact the player/customer.
I do understand the points you’re making, that’s the flow of information for you.

What I means by that is information regarding content that might be planned then doesn’t arrive, or items the community demand.
So I think when it comes to what actually arrives isn’t necessarily the point or problem. Because when it comes to what you’re touching upon isn’t wrong at all and is a perfect observation.
However the phrase you can’t please everyone is why it exist. Each person wants what they want not the bigger picture tho when it comes to the whys.

The whys are information which in such tough market conditions isn’t always available to the public.
Ie no explanation leaving customers in the dark or upset because they don’t get what they wanted to see.
You’re right in that things change and can do from day to day. I tried to raise this or provide/gain insight to the workings or what goes on behind the scenes when working with outside contractors in a separate thread. I’ve been there so understand how DTG will always be in one way or another be the face or target for some. Why a certain level of PR to get all that right so any information provided to customers gives some reassurance (Transparency)
No information tho is bad full stop.

So again what is the situation or point of topic. Basic facts or how we DTG customers feel about standards.
That’s all it is here standards. And where does one draw the line. Again own standard or how one expects to be treated.
How each individual feels is down to how they perceive the situation even others opinions.
Opinions from so many community members going around and around something I and other members notice is we all grumble (Noise) yet never find a solution (Movement). Seek solutions or a right outcome to the answers many DTG customers are now asking publicly.

Where to draw the line?. That’s down to the individual or we as a community.
It would tend to sway more in the community as an act of rebellion against overall consensus of how a company conducts business and treats/values its customers and loyal fans/community than any individual public display of dissatisfaction or ego driven behaviour would.
When ego is thrown in then I personally believe it will not serve any individual much good never mind find a solution to what I’d consider a right shambles facing both DTG and we the customers.

I think clarity is what matters and the betterment of all not the individual.
I’d like to believe the community can discuss each person’s point of views without being distracted by personal ego.
The point of the conversation or topic will get lost.

My overall point or my personal opinion based on the situation is this.
We the customers have paid for a product. What does the customer expect. Usually a product that works out of the box.
If that product doesn’t fit the customer level of expectations they have legal rights to resolve via the right channels and T&Cs.
It would seem that a underlying issue surrounds customer experience doing this and so would suggest a high level of regulatory scrutiny is needed if DLC or games sales start to become problematic for players thus placing pressure on any government to review the industry.

Taking many comments onboard it’s not always this black and white when it comes to games. Bugs and then what information comes out can alter when a customer decides the product doesn’t fill there basic levels of expectation.
Ie WCML south worked for some time and then comes along an update or additional DLCs basically rendered the product useless.
It’s been over a year now yet no answers. I’ve witnessed hundreds of players leaving feedback with no explanation and then the longer it gets left it eventually fades away. (One would assume it’s a case of ignore a problem long enough and it will just go away). Obviously if that happens outside the terms of sale then what does a customer do?.

Feeling frustrated with this most customers will take to support where again the common consensus is poor.
And so each time this happens and the longer it goes on it starts to become worse or feel more personal and less professional each step of the way leading many back to threads we’re commenting on now.
Here the atmosphere can become harsh because each person is frustrated even angry at how they have been treated as a customer.

We are customers all saying the same things. We see it we all agree and so surly reach a solution.
The ideal solution would be feedback gets acknowledgment, then a fix. Not leave feedback not much gets response, head to customer support where 9 times out of 10 is a pointless endeavour.

Any staff member should see we the customer has had enough. The endless cycle of new DLCs, Higher priced lower quality with many issues that like all past products leave a trail of dissatisfaction unanswered feedback or lack of customer confidence.
Ie when a customer wakes up by seeing that each new product is risk because any past product purchased left with quality issues that impact 99% of its customers remains yet DTG/3rd parties ask for more money on more rushed products.

The only way I could sum this up is well, customer are being treated like fools and that putting it lightly.
This cycle of products, then complaining, no fix. Products, and then complaining,, you get the picture.
The fact so many have in the past and continue complaining and rightfully so just goes to show the seriousness of the matter.
It points towards negligence if customers are left in the dark because it impacts their decision making when the decision of claiming money back seems to be the only logical choice. One than only appears months later down the line when outside T&Cs. Customer stuck then. Broken expectations/hope even trust loyalty. Broken products. No chance of getting money back.
It’s completely unacceptable for any company to completely ignore this concern being made by their costumers using its forums and customer support services.
A clear lack of transparency in by passing its customers values and standards, those whom seem forgotten left in the dark.

My only advice would be walk away. Walk away is the best long term solution. Walk away because it’s been like this for some years, I think this has only gone on for this long due to DTGs energy in producing rail sim products better than the last. I will and have always supported DTG in this regard and can be a decent game at a reasonable price if a long standing customer with many options available. However DTG and their 3rd party partners are ruining hard work done by their teams. Higher management choices, delays or concerns between companies that are up for assumptions by a hunger media driven society. Always ready for the next big YT drama or community one.
And that’s how it should be, power hidden the game working. What’s goes on should never impact the customers for narratives to form uncontrolled publicly.

I don’t care what goes on behind a closed door as a customer. The same customers heading in to ASDA don’t care on how bananas reach the shelf or question ASDA’s management structure or business model. It’s seamless, a well oiled machine.
A perfect PR tool by providing a high level of service without having to respond to any negative spot light.
The control of information is control of the narrative and the publics perception. Public Image. Reputation.

It can all fall apart quite soon if the publics perception changes opinions even worse group mentality based on their level of insight on the wider problem. The difference between view points amongst community members.

I digress and so to being here on the community try ascertaining the facts to the topic subject.
It’s seems completely wrong to say anyone is right or wrong and why discussion is associated with a deeper understanding and personal growth shared between a wider audience.
A fix or what ever it is that’s impacting customers to end. To buy something and enjoy it away from all the nonsense that comes with being both customer or community member. (When nothing is being clearly focused on).

I can’t and not speaking for everyone but as customers are we stuck?. And as community members actually achieving a real outcome to the customer dissatisfaction not those looking for a cheap ego boost?.
Being stoic understands how dangerous egotistical behaviour operates, hard wired into persona.

It never serves anyone or ends this cycle of poor sentiments be new or the once loyal DTG customers now holds against them.
The one’s looking for answers to be treated as a DTG customer that have standards and self respect to see when they’re being treated like a mug, thus no longer to allow it to continue and draw a line in the sand.

    Self respect, Boundaries. The line.
Each man draws his own. Most men will test that line, some cross it.

It’s provocation before the attack to silence the enemy.

    ✌.

Bloody hell. I was at least somewhat known in the past for paragraph messages but even I have to admit that this is just excessive. Make a video or write a blog or article, there are far better places to create your grand piece about customer rights and DTG than a backwater forum which has descended so far into toxicity over the years that even the devs themselves seem to have largely moved on from acknowledging it. If you feel that passionate about this matter, go and put it somewhere it will actually gain traction.

I read the first and last paragraph. I thought it was a train simulator forum not a branch of the UN.

Go outside, touch the grass, get some fresh air. If you’re that invested in a train game there are bigger issues at play.

Someone uses AI to make a 3 pages long post. Then we use AI to make a 20 words summary.

This, little children, is why 32 Gb of memory cost more than 400€.

You are probably right, but I would need to read it to know if it is made by an AI or not and that's not going to happen. :D

I'm the same as the theorganist. I identify what I think I'd like to play, watch streams, and read feedback before deciding to buy it. Unfortunately, I'm one of those downtrodden console players (Xbox Series X) and, lately, I've purchased absolutely nothing. It's not worth the risk. Being 'in the business', I still have some empathy for DTG et al because writing and maintaining software is hard but, having said that, my patience and, more importantly, my trust has been eroded significantly in recent months. The cries of "we hear you, it's not good enough, we're working on it" are, I'm afraid, starting to ring very hollow because it all just seems so unprofessional. DLC after DLC is exhibiting the same fundamental problems, updates are making existing DLC perform worse and DTG's ability to test on console is still woeful, yet the frequency of output has been increasing. This isn't sustainable and, maybe, enough really is enough.

Respectfully written, clear and concise. I'm certainly not finding I'm as impacted as others seem to be but I do recognise the feelings people have over the issues raised, so thank you for being to the point on this. Could do with more of this in here.

I think I tend to find fewer problems as I'm splitting my time between PC (high end laptop) and console, some routes I have on both but I tend to purchase steam content when its on sale.

I do worry the blurry textures issue is driving some players away which isn't good for any of us.

DTG do seem to be taking it seriously, I don't see how they can't, and I hope find a resolution quickly.

There is I think, now, a fundamental conceptual problem at DTG: they develop on high-power PCs, and then kind of assume that code can be successfully ported to much less powerful consoles. It would be different if some devs worked alonside the coders and artists to test parts of routes as they are developed on consoles (OTS, not devkit), but they don't.

I just got a new PC. My ancient potato was so limited I assumed it was a universal set of issues with DTG programming, but now I am seeing that TSW runs just fine IF you have a lot of horsepower- more hp than any console can deliver.

My PC is a middling gaming PC and it runs very well on almost the highest settings. I guess routes and stock and timetables have got much more detailed.

It’s just about scaling an getting creative in how you do it. It sounds like they are using high res textures for everything when in reality they need better LOD texture levels for things in the distance or not seen. I’m surprised that wasn’t done initially but it sounds like they are going route by route to do that. Once that’s happens, blurred textures should be mostly resolved (easier said than done of course) and if anything is still blurry, it should be limited and temporary based. Will need to see how they implement it but it’s been done before. However anyone thinking console version will look like a high end PC is dreaming (I say this as a console user).

I'm somewhat in this category myself, it didn't drive me away from TSW altogether but it did lead me to give up on consoles for the game. I ended up moving to PC, only buying addons on sale and keeping to only the UK content. I don't regret it as now not only am I without blurry textures and running at a much higher framerate, I can also make use of mods and the TS Controllers setups.

Or you could be a man and confront me. Or hide in comfort like the rest.

Either way it’s no skin of my nose.

Balls in your court if you would like to talk like decent people with no hidden agendas.

It’s about being civil and holding a respectful conversation as grown adults. If not then clearly I have made a massive error in judgment.

    Ok' I'll bite.

I'm not entirely sure how to respond. Your advice to people in a previous post is 'to walk away' and yet I keep seeing repeated lengthy posts where I feel tempted to reply with, 'I ain't reading all that, I'm happy for you...or sad that happened'. Because you seem to be very passionate about people walking away from the product, yet can't seem to stop telling people that but not following your own advice, and keeping on posting very lengthy diatribes which make me welcome the AI overlords so I can analyse what you have said and see if you had added any value, or just look at your post on page 1 instead.
