Route Liberec - Stará Paka Feedback Thread

    Pretty much the same situation on Xbox Series X, which is why I opted for a refund. There’s a clear performance issue when the vegetation is dense and the headlights are on. In winter, with the bare trees, it’s even worse. The problem occurs on all routes with thick vegetation.

    Driving the passenger train


    I don't know if I just don't get it, but all along the route lots of the speed indicators are 10km/h too low. For example the sign announces 60 ahead, but in the HUD you can see it's 70 or even 75 and so on. There are few correct signs

    If you are talking about distance signs, it shows the lower speed. So when the next speed sign shows for example 75/85, distant sign should be with a number "7". So you will see "7" sign and your next speed limit will be (as shown in the HUD) 85. I just found one mistake, where distant signs shows "8" and next speed limit is 75/85, as I wrote before.

    Ahh, thank you for clearing that up! That makes perfect sense. So the distant sign shows a "6" and my speed will be 70, but for the cargo train it will be 65, for example. I think I understand know. Thank you!

    Same. Some passenger runs with the 750 would be great.

    Also, since Czech railways, I really hope we'll get a route or loco DLC with the 810 series. It's another staple of middle-European rural lines. It could even have it's own backdated timetable for Liberec - Stará Paka!

    Either way, really looking forward to see what their team will be working on next. New Czech route? Or more rolling stock for this route? I'm in for both!

    I have to praise the guys for their work with the night lighting, headlights and environment wise both. It actually makes night runs enjoyable, which is great considering how many runs of the freight timetable are in the darkness.

    Also nice is that the trains are not overpowered, my last run was an Turnov to Liberec freight with double traction, yet it was realistically feeling when even this consist struggled a bit on the grades on the first half of the run. And the manipulation train idea/implementation is the best incentive to do shunting style jobs in the game so far. (Much better than the DTG idea of shunting scenarios that you can cheese by running to the marker and end it instantly :))) ) The only gripe is the stop marker being too close to the signal in front (or behind when switching directions) that can catch you out.

    Also confirming the feelings of other forum members from eastern european countries, this route feels like home to most of us, including the age of the rolling stock, scarce timetable and single track lines.

    Loco wise, well I repeat my appeal for a 749 with original unsilenced sounds. The 750 is okay, but really all you can hear are the generator and traction motors, nice though they are.

    While I have not had any issues with the timetables, I have had issues with some of the scenarios. Looks to me like they have not been tested before release - or maybe just not thoroughly. In any case, I have been unable to complete two of the scenarios sine they will not complete a step. Both issues have been mentioned previously, so i will just list them. I had the same result after repeating the scenarios, so verified. I will add if I find more.

    End of Day - Motor 1 shuts off but the scenario step does not complete
    Can you fix it - The step to change to radio channel does not complete

    In general, I like the route and the trains, If I have a complaint, it is that the release feels a little rushed, and not only on this but on several of the recent route releases which have required numerous fixes after release. So called "user testing" is common in the software industry, but leaves a bad taste behind. . .

    This would also give them a good excuse to fully model the roundhouse area at Turnov. There are a number of them there as part of the museum; plus the turntable and additional tracks need to be modelled, and the area opened up for use.

    Feedback: The level crossings are not optimized well. This is mostly true for Malá Skála – when departing towards Železný Brod, cars are still crossing the railway even when the train is already passing the departure signal at some 70 km/h. It can be seen even in the pre-release video, but I may add a screenshot later.

    Also this is something you don't want to see as a driver, though for shunting it's less problematic, I guess. (Semily. Yes, train has not moved yet, but white light directly into an open crossing?)

    Edit: Also passengers crossing the tracks while the train departs should be solved.

    This and the passengers crossing the line in front of trains are the only real blight on the route. Needs sorting ASAP.

    During my 4 trips, I specifically looked for passengers running in front of the train, and only once was there a case of a person with a suitcase who was crossing near my train when I started moving.

    real ppl can be even worse when it comes to crossing the tracks, believe me :D ... since the opening of a long-awaited expansion of tram line further to Petržalka (most populated part of Bratislava), there were quite a lot of fatal accidents, 100% ppl not giving a flying ... to the fact that there are tracks and that tram might be coming... and thats TRAM, so it is quite slow :D

    I'm just trying to figure out where this might be. If it's such a "big problem everywhere," then why did I only see one NPC with a suitcase crossing the road 10 meters away? When I first started driving, I honked my horn at him, of course, but that never happened again, even though I drove the entire route from end to end, stopping at almost every station.

    seen worse IRL lol, even where there wasnt an actual crossing for pedestrians, and yet they walked over track with big suitcase :D

    If you drive correctly, you shouldn't have a lot of problems with pedestrians. They take time to leave the tracks because they have only one speed and cannot hurry up, and especially those with baggage are prone to be pushed into tracks from platforms by other npcs, but that's both core issues. Otherwise they generally respect moving trains and stop ahead of the crossings if given enough time to notice them coming.
