Is it just me or did the last 2.8 GB update create noticeable more stuttering everywhere? I drove Frankfurt-Sbahn without any noticeable stutters except maybe one or two shortly before the update. Then after the update I now I had noticeable more stuttering everywhere. No settings changes. No driver change. Can't be shader cache since I now have driven the route 3 times since the last update and still same amount of stutters. Did anyone else notice something like that? Would not be the first time that an update breaks stuff or makes it worse. Its not unplayable but just more noticeable then before.
Yeah I did notice that to! I even had a crash caused by my overclock (D3D device remove) never had that before, I know my overclock is stable cause it's running almost 2 years without a problem
By any change... Did you update you're GPU drivers? When you do that the shaders will be reset and you need to drive all routes again to get the shaders back again in you're system.
As I said in my original post [...]. No settings changes. No driver change. [...] Can't be shader cache since I now have driven the route 3 times since the last update and still same amount of stutters.
Great so they messed something up. That was such a nice route but as we know it can take DTG years to fix stuff like that. Makes me sad that was my favorite route.
Nvidia has also been releasing driver updates almost weekly at this point. Requires a fresh shader comp when starting TSW first time after update.
I did not notice stutters (lossless scaling usually eats those), but I made a run on DCZ and there was a plenty of places that fell to 15 fps, which felt to me as unusually low even for a shader generating run, it's not a particularly heavy route.
I noticed that as well, especially on S-Bahn Frankfurt (approaching Frankfurt never was completely smooth, but not that choppy) and Stuttgart-Heilbronn. The other routes are running rather fine overall, including Frankfurt-Fulda. noir Interesting, I did a whole-length run on DCZ yesterday too after not visiting the route in a while (so I guess shaders had to be generated anew), and it ran smoothly. Sidenote: The route is a nice playground for the new Expert 145, despite it having only a few services there
