Wow! What a great route. Scenery is well done and so is Salzburg Hbf. You can see a lot of effort went in to making this route. Traffic on the mainline is decent. I seen three freight services on one regional run which was cool. I'm not sure if I just got lucky or if that is the norm. Only issue (minor) I see is the lack of traffic at Salzburg and Rosenheim. They both seem like ghost towns. Even some more 4024s at Salzburg and other German stock at Rosenheim would suffice. But I am really enjoying it after picking it up for only €3.59! I would love to see another route set around Salzburg.

The 111 is slightly more challenging to drive than the Traxx locomotives but really fun nonetheless. Though the overused dostos are used again, the contrast between the two is nice.

Also picked this up and was pleasantly surprised for the £2.99 I paid. I think it is a nice little route and with a bit of tidying and polishing it could easily become one of the better routes. Not sure it was worth the initial price tag but the 111 is a fun drive as you said and I really cant complain. For those thinking of getting it, do it for this price you cannot go wrong :)

A month ago or so, I picked this route too for almost nothing and it's a pleasant surprise. I believe you also see the Taurus and OBB coaches at Salzburg (when you own Semmeringbahn), so it will look a little more busy. and there are also a few EC runs with the Taurus. I hope Semmeringbahn will be the next add-on in a deep sale.

Has always been one of my most favourite routes - I really love the short S-Bahn and 628 services in particular though, I've nearly finished all these. :D

Totally agree here. I really don't understand why Salzburg Hbf is so empty in particular when Semmeringbahn in comparison has the same rolling stock, but it actually feels really busy. The same goes for Vorarlberg (also one of my overall favourite TSW routes) but lacks many services such as long-distance and so on.

If only Salzburg-Rosenheim and Vorarlberg could get some smaller timetable updates to become even better, then that would be superb!

There's really hardly any difference for Salzburg, it's still a ghost town, plus only four additional Taurus EC services if I remember correctly. Anyway, regarding Semmeringbahn, really highly recommended though regardless if you like Austrian routes.

I also had to take advantage of the great price since I live only a few hours away from the area!

Didn’t have too much time to check out the route yet since I got 14 new add-ons in total — including the special edition with Semmeringbahn, so it’s nice to see the ÖBB Taurus and its wagons around Salzburg. In general, the yards along the line seem to be nicely populated on this route. There’s always at least one or two consists sitting around.

I did go for a little stroll on foot, and Salzburg seems to have been recreated really well (apart from a floating PIS screen on the station concourse, lol). I had a hard time finding the cool screens from Vorarlberg that show all departures from the whole station at Salzburg, does anyone know the location of one? Anyways, I love the details on the surrounding hills and along the river Salzach. I’ve actually traveled on the little Südostbayernbahn service with the DB BR 628 towards Mühldorf quite a lot in real life, and the Salzburg Mülln-Altstadt station it stops at looks so real in the game. Prien am Chiemsee also has nice details such as the correct platform canopies and the little steps you need to take from the station building to the platform.

For traffic, having Semmeringbahn and thus the Taurus adds quite a lot of AI to the route
