With NY routes coming to TSW approximately every 1.5-3 years, I predict the next NY route to be Hudson Line somewhere in 2027-2029

It looks really great. So many different gameplay experiences in one route, don’t remember having such a well-rounded offering in an American TSW route for many years… maybe ever? Tons of scenic variety as well.

I think I’ll definitely pick this up on sale at some point… although it will probably take a while for it to come down to a decent price (they only tend to quickly discount DLCs that don’t sell well, see the current Stuttgart-Heilbronn sale on PlayStation). Perhaps I can pick up the Harlem Line and LIRR Commuter for a decent price in the meantime. I don’t think I’d like to play the route without those layers — that missing traffic would make the two big termini a lot less busy.

Anyone else noticed that the Mastery panel is already live in the game for this as of yet unreleased DLC?

Makes me think that we could be seeing it next week!

I think Thursday would make more sense, given that Thomas & Friends™: Wonders of Sodor is releasing on Tuesday.

Whenever the next North American route comes along, I really hope it's somewhere other than the East or West coasts. Like maybe, the Midwest.

Edit: Oops I forgot about the Hayden Branch!!

Well, after that then. We've had plenty of New York, Jersey, Boston, LA and San Fran. Chicago needs to be in the game.

Could someone please reply to me as if I am an idiot, and explain exactly what layers into this route for me?

You'd think the article would have a nice clear list, but instead, it is needlessly obtuse.

    • A layer for Amtrak’s Acela® with 21 additional services
    • The M7A and M3A from Harlem Line with 133 and 25 services respectively, plus Hudson Line AI
    • A pair of bonus work train services with the ACS-64 using the flat car from Horseshoe Curve
    • LIRR and NJ TRANSIT AI at New York Penn
    • Playable NJ TRANSIT Sunnyside Yard movements and 4 special “Train to the Game” services inspired by the New Haven Meadowland’s Football Train services from 2016
So basically Harlem line, Lirr commuter and assume either Morristown or NY-Trenton for NJT. The ACS and SD40 is included.

Harlem Line, Amtrak's Acela, LIRR Commuter, LIRR M3, Morristown Line, NJ TRANSIT ALP-45 and Horseshoe Curve. ALP45 provides AI layer for the ratitan line and Horseshoe provides The work train services with the ACS-64 since it the flat car from HSC, it’s not DTG’s wagon so can't copy it into core
