I’m disappointed that we have to play as the train driver. That was never something I was interested in. I don’t like restricting views in the cab. But I also don’t like being outside the train either. The graphics are good from what I’ve seen. But what I wanted was something more like the Cars video game where you control the character as the character, and not as a human in the game.

You've put this in various areas here, stop spamming it. This is a simulator, using the same engine as another simulator, plus, in RWS lore, the engines can't stop without a driver, so it would be a very short experience then.

The drivers literally control the trains in the show (unless you are talking about the abhorrent all engines go thing), did you want a completely lore destroying rendition of the media?

The crew and the locomotive work together as I recall. In the tv show especially the later seasons, the locomotives are shown to have more control over themselves too. Like when Henry spooks the other engines with his glowing green paint. And let’s not forget when Thomas bumped his driver off the footplate in order to cross the danger sign and fell into the old tin mine tunnel.

And as for your other question. No I do not. But I still want a different experience in the Thomas and friends universe than just being a human crewman. The idea of interacting with the Thomas and Friends world as a locomotive is just really appealing to me.
