Since the 1st Czech route in TSW 6 got popular I'm making a suggestion for another Czech route that is completely different from Liberec-Stara Paka. So it is Praha Hl.n. to Beroun via Zadní Třebaň. You start at Prague Main station which is the biggest and the busiest railways station in Czech Republic. This station has 7 platforms and a long history dating back to 1871. Then you go through an approximately 1 km long tunnel and after exiting it you turn right on a junction and go under the Nuselský most and go up to the Vysehrad railway bridge across Vltava river and after it you enter the approach into Praha-Smíchov station. after that you are continuing along the mainline to Beroun going near Barrandov cliffs and more cliffs later. So with Landmarks along the route most of them are in the part where I was describing the journey but there are 2 more landmarks I want to tell about which are also in Prague and those are the Velká Chuchle Racecourse and the Prague Castle whihc you can see while passing the Vysehrad Rail Bridge and also there is another lnadmark that is not in Prague and it is Karlstejn castle though I'm not sure if it is visible from the line. This route is 43 km long with 13 stations and it takes from 40-60 mins to complete a full run. Now let's take a look at rolling stock and services: Os S7 services are the regional and the main services that run along this line. They run from Praha Hl.n to Beroun and stopping at all stations along the way. S7 line is usally operated by ČD class 471 EMUs in older and newer variants Then we have R16 (Rychlík) services. These are Fast services and they run along the mainline from Praha Hl.n up to Železná Ruda but on this route they can run up to Beroun while only having 1 intermediate stop at Praha-Smíchov (weekend services also stop at Karlštejn). They are usually operated ČD class 363 and Bdt and other coaches For the freight services they will start at Praha-Radotín freight tracks. The 363 can be used too or other layers from german routes can be used. 193 and Eurofirma coaches can be used as a layer for IC services for people that own Semmeringbahn and any 193s. About Licensing there are only ČD and PID licenses required if so can be unbranded. And about Time periods it can be either 2025-2026 with Praha-Smíchov being under reconstruction with only being able to pass through platforms 1 and 2. Also there is 2022 before the reconsturction with all platforms being operational and the railway yard there still being there. or the last variant is 2017-2018 where most of the stations were in their older loom before reconstructions. That's all I can say so lemme put some pics of some stations. Praha hl.n Praha-Smíchov Beroun If you have any questions or how should I improve this suggestion reply to this thread (I don't have much experience in making suggestions)
also here is a vid of this route tho it is from 2017 since I couldn't find any better vids that are newer.
Lemme add some stuff that I forgot to say: 1. There is also another cool place right near Praha-Smichov and it si called "Meet factory" 2. actually some S7 services run up to Český Brod after passing Prague 3. It would be really cool if we get AI trams running near the rail line in some parts of Prague like on Glasgow-Edinburgh route 4. And I found a newr video of this rail line (up to 48:00 is the part of the route that is in this suggestion)
hell yeah to this one, also cos it has City Elefant on it... and as a side note, CD is actually planning a tunnel from Prague almost directly to Beroun (if I remember it right) that would cut this long round journey to a highspeed direct shortcut https://www.spravazeleznic.cz/web/e...n-light-positive-eia-moves-plan-to-next-phase edit: so it is actually still way into the future, but still
