Hi, can DTG please say something about the stuttering/performance issues introduced a short time ago? Game was more or less running perfectly smooth for me until this update. I already reported it here and many people replied that they also suddenly have this issue. DTG did not respond. The recent "core" update did not fix it. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/more-stutters-since-the-last-update.97147/ The issue was introduced with the second to last update. It does not affect all routes equally and also it has absolutely nothing to do with Shader-Cache. Routes where I noticed it the most: -Frankfurt S-Bahn -Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn
I'm pretty sure the stuttering has been caused by the roll back of the SEHS leaked optimisation, which is when the stuttering restarted for me.
Because I think something has been enabled or disabled that shouldn't have been and that's caused a glitch somewhere thats reintroduced the stutters. I'd imagine that when the patch drops on Tuesday to get the build ready for the MVL that the stuttering may disappear again.
@shinkansen_15 You’ll never get an answer from DTG on this. DTG can’t even respond to the PIS error that they caused with an update. DTG usually doesn’t respond at all to any errors that have been found, even those caused by DTG themselves.
So whats the point of this forum if DTG ignores all error reports, has no conversation with the players? Do we all have to join the Discord to have a chance to reach someone from DTG? The "Questions, troubleshooting and how to report bugs." basically seems dead with people talking with themselves and absolutely ZERO response from DTG.
Yeah. And when you do send a support ticket, they just mark it "closed" and give zero F's. So you're screwed either way.
Seeing how some bugs have been reported probably a hundred times years ago and are still not fixed I highly doubt raising a ticked has any effect.
It's hard to tell whether the Stuttering has returned in full force on TSW6. I normally run TSW4 for legacy Routes, since it was abandoned two years ago no updates have affected it, and Routes run smoothly if shaders are loading. The best way to tell for TSW6 is when it gets abandoned 6 months from now with the release of TSW7.
The BR Class 20 DLC for Tees Valley route is the same. You have to run the route on TSW2, because the top cab marker light was broken in TSW3 and never fixed. DTG support makes EA and Ubisoft look good.
The Steam build of TSW6, which was stutter-free up until the accidental patch was released for SEHS, which was released early (ironic considering they won't release the MAC patch), so hopefully when they re-release that patch for SEHS, the stuttering buggers off again.
